Stock timing is 15 deg, lots of people set it to 18, obviously with 98 ron, hard to tell difference, just slightly better fuel economy The orange or yellow mark is TDC and each mark is 5 deg with the furthest being 30 deg advanced, Manufacturers dont stamp After TDC marks on pulleys If ur cam gears line up with backing plate and ur crank gear lines up with oil pump, All is OK And Then if u fit ur harmonic balancer/Crank pulley and its not lining up with timing belt cover marks Assuming ur belt cover is fiitted correctly and the cam gears still line up Your harmonic balancer/crank pulley is starting to separate, which means u need a new one..........And u will never be able know exactly what timing u are running

have u tried adjusting it, I run 12psi everyday Its not the boost that kills turbos its the heat

This day is ideal for those who want to hit the track without the associated costs, Unfortunately drifting will get you booted from the track. Its meant to be a family fun day but there are always some big hp cars tearing it up. For the price u cant really argue Would be good to see a few more RBs out there Winton Motor Raceway would like to invite you and your family to participate in the Fun Day to be held on Sunday the 24th January, 2010. Gates Open: 8.00am Cost: $30 per participant All participants (including passengers) must register for the day from 8.30am at the Dutton’s Paddock Office. This family day gives the public an opportunity to drive their car around the circuit under control conditions. The day is structured with sessions for driver only and sessions for driver and passengers. Drivers must be at least 16 years of age. Please note: this is not a day for young people to learn to drive a car. Participants must wear flame retardant clothing, ie. cotton, wool, etc. No Nylon. When driving on the circuit, participants must wear clothing that covers them from the neck to wrist to ankle and closed shoes (no thongs, sandals, etc). Helmets must be worn for on track activity. Cars must have a safety check before going onto the circuit, so we ask that you ensure your vehicle is in a safe roadworthy or race worthy condition for the duration of the activity. No oil leaks or fuel leaks. All cars must be fitted with an effective muffler and must not exceed 95dB (A). This event is for cars only. 30 powered garages (shared) will be available to hire for the day. To avoid disappointment on the day participants should contact the Winton Administration Office prior to the event if they wish to hire a garage. For more information visit www.wintonraceway.com.au or contact 03 5766 4235. Come along and be part of the action at Winton Motor Raceway. Crashed My 33 And Insurance Wont Pay?
Dorifta replied to jaymze_1990's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
unfortunate but interesting thread But he should be covered if didnt know his car was Unroadworthy If your car was in an unroadworthy or unsafe condition that contributed to the accident being a condition that was known to and disregarded by you NO -
fitted many rb30 pumps to rb25. Top 10mm bolt hole wont line, As stated above most people just squeeze some silicon in the hole which isnt that necessary just extra precaution, Never had one leak, On my cars I elongate the housing with a drill to make it match. It depends on whos doing the job, theyre knowledge and whether ther want to pay 3 times as much for a genuine. I use the rb30 pump

Seen its only at idle its more likely to be a coilpack issue. remove coilpack harness one by one, it will misfire, if u dont recieve another misfire ontop of that u have found the cylinder that is misfiring, u can also switch coilpack with another cylinder to confirm , replace spark plug/s because they are cheaper, then coilpack if needed could also be wiring or so on but without knowing exact history and model of car, it could be anything startt with the above
-
misfire, stutter, could be hundreds of things need info to diagnose cars
-
sounds like a faulty boost control solenoid Buy a turbotech boost controoler for about $30

Heater Smells Like Urine....how Do I Stop It!?
Dorifta replied to The_Scroop's topic in General Maintenance
Hey Dom, you spray ur disinfectant or scented spray in and around the intake vents on the scuttle panel, which is located at the bottom of the windsreen, below wiper arms If that doesnt work, You can also try what they call an AC Bomb, which is a can of disinfectant which u place on the passenger floor mat and release the valve while having the car running with ac on recirc for 10mins or so. As the heater and ac use the same ducts. I t will kill any bacteria or smell in car, After the process has been done is has a sterilised clean smell. -
What have u checked, have u done any work on car recently Would putting in a second thermal fan make much difference or do i just need a better coolent ? band aid Does ur thermo fan even kick in, if so id try coolant flush How long ago was the water pump done, impeller could rusted away
-
if u have time go for it, but its definately not essential, drain when hot and leave for aslong as u have. u can get extra .5 litre by draining longer
-
it should be infront on the side or below where ur front mount cooler goes
-
Nissan doesnt have scheuled intervals for passenger cars regarding diff and box recc intervals for longevity brake fluid 1 to 2 years, coolant 2yrs max -box fluid will last much longer but id say 40k auto fliud 40 k max ps fluid, every 5 years if your keen like anything, the more u use and abuse, more u should service it

Most technicians use rubber or bearing grease on inside of seal and permatex gasket paste on outside of seal, never reuse old seals

good thread, What about good wax like mothers, its natural unlike polish, and lasts alot longer but takes twice as long to apply and has a far superior finish. Wheres the best place to buy claybars, most automotive places dont even know what its is. When I wax or polish my car, It wont see suds for atleast 3 months, Just pressure washer and shammy, otherwise bye bye to the wax or polish Whats ur choice and why, Wax or Polish, Or polish with claybar then WAX
