  1. depending on the size of the leak, if it were a big leak you would know because ur turbo wont be boosting properly and ur car will be as sluggish as a snail on sh*t. a small leak wouldnt be that noticeable..
  2. agreed +2
  3. I just received my brand new 3076R EW, and I currently have a HKS2530kai on my RB25DET, I was wondering if the oil/water lines would fit the 3076R from the 2530? the oil return thread looks very similar, but i still havent taken off my 2530 to be sure... Also, I will be needing custom intake piping, is there a cheaper way to get around this, rather then getting custom intake piping made up? Can anyone help me out? Cheers.
  4. exactly what i was going to say, i just got mine today and going to be installing it in the next couple of weeks once i get all the oil/water lines and piping sorted .. btw paid $2k for the 3076R EW, exhaust manifold and dump flange.
  5. sori 4 double post :\
  6. ^^ ain't that the truth. Also, someone on here made 314rwkw with a GT3076R and Water/Meth injection on stock internals. Cheaper way to 300rwkw IMO, and im looking into buying one of these kits from AEM.
  7. I've heard Water Meth Injection will do the job nicely..
  8. Got mine today, thanks heaps Anthony.
  9. If you still decide to change your head gasket, get a Cometic 1.2 or 1.3mm by 87mm, you wont lose too much compression if any.. also id recommend getting the ARP head studs, i am in the process of changing mine at the moment..
  10. Ah ok cool thanks, what about the head gasket, do I need to use some kind of sealant or just bare?
  11. I just noticed this post lol, isnt it meant to be the RYCO Z145A?
  12. I just got the head off my RB25DET, and I purchased some ARP head studs and a Cometic head gasket (for a bullet proof seal ). I know the tensioning torque for the studs is about 108Nm for the nut, but does the stud itself have to be tensioned into the block? and if so, what tensioning specs should I use? My second question is regarding the Cometic head gasket, do I need to use any type of sealants for it? Cheers.
  13. hey can I get one Zenith?
  14. Yeh welcome Melly, nice 33 you have there..
  15. I just ordered myself a GT3076R EW and I have the following supporting mods already installed on my RB25DET: 3" Full exhaust FMIC PFC Sard 550cc injectors Sard FPR Bosche 023 fuel pump Turbosmart boost controller Turbosmart Plumb back bov Cometic 1.3mm by 87mm head gasket Splitfires Will I need cams or anything else to support 280rwkw or more? Also, I will be looking into get custom dump and intake piping, i already got the top mount manifold, where is a good place to get this done? and what sort of cost am i looking at with the custom piping? Cheers.
  16. Well personally I don't think the new SSQs work well under high boost pressure. With my current setup i have a HKS 2530kai and im running over 20psi with supporting mods. When i run that much boost with the SSQ it would stay open for a second or two after gear change, and the air would go into atmo instead of back into the plenum.. I'm not sure as to why this happened (too much vaccum under high boost pressure for the SSQ to handle?), but it only happened with the SSQ and not with any other atmo bov that I owned. I've installed many atmo bovs and they all lagged my turbo in between gear changes (this is normal with atmo bovs). Oh and I wouldn't have bought a bov if I intended on flat shifting 24/7.
  17. i installed a new one and it would stay open for too long and lag my turbo heaps... the older ones must have been heaps better with the adjusting screws..
  18. I'm also in the market to get a new EBC, so far I got the AVCR and PFC addon Boost controllers in mind... If the PFC boost controller is so good, then why would you be getting boost spikes? Also, this concerns me, because i got rid of my stock AFM and got a PFC to remove the fuel cut, I wouldnt wanna be getting fuel cuts again...
  19. I searched for this and couldnt find anything differntiating the two.. Basically I wanna get a decent electronic boost controller.. What do people on here recommend? anyone who uses/used these 2 types of boost controllers? And what are the Pros/Cons? Cheers.
  20. +1 Good work WYTSKY, also nice write up in the DIY section... Instead of bagging the guy out for the price, why not just give it a go and DIY.
  21. Ok thanks Paul, will be getting a re-tune next week with new injectors..
  22. lol... i had this exact same problem, 3 clips stuck to the magnet, must be a common problem on the RB25 boxes? I got gear crunching in 3rd and especially 4th... Just for the record, I use VMX80 for the gearbox and diff, and in my books its a pretty good oil... either way, looks like ill have to get a rebuild soon..
  23. Hey thanks for the offer mate, but i already made a purchase from a guy on ebay, $2200AUD delivered for 2 x 2530s, with all piping and exhaust manifolds.
  24. No actually i'm just looking for a cheaper way to get a twin 2530 setup, they are going for around $1300 on eBay for RB25s.. plus the guy I know is selling his for $1100, but i dont think it will work as its a totally different housing.. ill end up spending more tryin to make them fit rather then get a twin GTR version of the turbines...
  25. just incase the other guy doesnt buy it, i might be interested... is there anything wrong with the box? has it been tested?
