  1. Seen a lot of cars run with them off, but ideally it's better to keep it on. If something gets flicked up from the road, you can risk damaing your timing belt, and possibly causing it to snap if hit hard enough.
  2. They're very close to indentical, some very subtle differences. Most notable is the front bumper. I think the openings on the Vertex are a bit bigger. The FK one is a bit 'chunkier' for lack of a better word.
  3. You need to either mark the CAS with tippex or something so it goes back on EXACTLY as it comes off. Or get someone with a Blazt cable and datascan to help, as you can adjust the CAS and see the changes realtime in Datascan.
  4. Front and rear bumpers from a GTR are a straight bolt on. Side skirts will fit possibly depending on how they're shaped. A good bodyshop can modify them to bring the ends in so they fit flush.
  5. Fill the glovebox with lasagne, and have some good looking guy in shades drive around inside on a scooter, shouting at the traffic.
  6. Check the big E-Manage thread that's on here. Think it's in this section in fact. There's info in there that tells you how to set it up so you can ditch your AFM.
  7. If it cheers you up, they're a piece of piss to fit. Unscrew it from the gearbox, pull the cable down. Push new cable up, screw in. 5 minute job.
  8. The speedo cable is broke. That white bit is supposed to be part of the cable itself.
  9. That does sound a bit too high. Mine sits about 80 in normal use, and during a track day in August it never went above 90.
  10. Some come with a rain tray for underneath.
  11. Mine made 215 at the wheels, think it was about 194 at the flywheel.
  12. If they bolt right on, you'll probably need the 4 door bootlid as well. The edge tapers at an angle to match the light, where the 2 door one has a curved corner.
  13. Looks fantastic. What colours are those you used on the car and bonnet?
  14. To use this on an RB20det, is the wiring harness swap the same as the 25 one, or are there other wires that need changed around?
  15. Most I've ever seen was a mention of a 450hp one HKS were running. No idea what the spec was though.
  16. They're not compatible. Mounting holes are not in the same place.
  17. If it's the plastic filters that get spliced into the vacuum hose, the AVC-R also uses those, and I think a few other related gizmos from other comapnies. So you should be able to get your hands on one should you need to replace it.
  18. Is that £120 brand new or second hand? Sounds way to pricey. I just got one off a fellow board member on one of our UK Skyline forums and all it cost me was £10 to cover his postage costs.
  19. I replaced the seats in my 32 GTS-t with a set of GTR's. I have a 33 driver and a 32 passenger seat, and the 33 is far more comfortable, plus it holds you better.
  20. S14 uses a 3 pin one. Could be that.
  21. It'll drop right in. The Z32 is an 80mm and the bolt holes on the filter end line right up too.
  22. Mine came with the GTR one too. haven't fitted it yet, and didn't realise about having to mod it slightly, so I'd be interested in finding out what needs swapped too.
  23. I've been considering places to mount the one I just got. One thing that came to mind was to make a custom bracket out of a flat piece of metal, by folding each side into an L shape. Then the main flat part could bolt to the underside of the e-manage, and then flat ends of the L could be used to mount it. In my case, I was considering putting it in the glovebox, if there's room.
  24. I've just bought an E-Manage Ultimate and I picked up the proper specific loom with it. Not sure how the blue is set up, but the Ultimate loom has all ingition and injector looms as part of it, which saved me getting them as optional parts. I'd definitely suggest getting the proper loom. Will save you some headaches and will let you get everything set up quicker too.
  25. Partly comes down to how they're driven, but the Skyline would probably be heavier on fuel as it has two extra cylinders to feed.
