Yeah there are alot of hot cars here but they dont come out that much . . there is a twin turbo commodore ute going around with 800 rwhp (so ive heard) and a vl commy with a RB26 conversion

My mate had the same problem . . get to a certain speed and the car would virbate, took him ages to work out what it was. . . ended up being his new rims

Does anyone know roughly what kind of cost it is to do a conversion? Not including the car or motor, just to actually get it in and engineered?

Ok so ive come down to this. . . CAR= VT-VX Wagon MOTOR= 2JZ-GTE or NA 20B or 20B Turbo Whatever motor goes in id like to have at least 500 rwhp

Nice, so what was the cost of the conversion? If you dont mind me asking. Did you come across any problems when fitting it in? I could probably do mine my self too (with help of coarse) lining up the motor would be the hard part. . How did you put the engine mounts on. . like how did you line them up and make sure they were in the right spot?

Probably a stupid question but why are hid lights illegal to install on cars that didnt come with them? If there a better light wouldnt they be better to use?

Does he have a workshop that does conversions?

Did you do the conversion or was it like that when you bought it? I had a look at the studebaker and dam is that ugly lol im not a fan of the olden day cars haha im afer a modern car Yeah ive seen a 2JZ in a vs sedan before so im guessing it wont have any problems fitting into a VT-VX And yeah im pretty keen on a straight 6 or even a 20B. . . Hey guys, im thinking about doing a project car that alot of poeple are probably gonna hate me for, but i dont care as its my money and i can do what i want with it. Im looking for ideas and sugestions on what i can and cant do, ways things could be done and just what would be the better and easier way. Please if you have nothing nice to say dont say it at all, or if you have to, pm me. . cheers Ok so this is what im thinking. . I want a big car so i can fit more than a shoe box in, something that i can drop nice and low and give a VIP look to it, something that can tow a trailer like a boat or a 6x4 and still be good to just cruise around in, AND has decent power . . nothing crazy . . . yet lol Im thinking about Doing a VT-VX Wagon (as i like the interior and i used to have a VT Wagon so i know a bit about them). . This is where it changes. . Id like to put either a RB26DETT or a 2JZ GTE motor, gearbox and diff in. I know it is possible but what one would be better to use. . . im leaning more for the 2JZ as i dont have to worry about all the 4wd bits on the 26 motor and box, making it cheaper. . . Im open to any ideas on what car or motor to use (no V8s or V6s) Would even consider a rotary. . . Oh and it would be for everyday use too. Cheers Daniel

Was gonna say that you might have just blown off a sillicone hose. . . but being stock probably not . . unless a clamp wasnt done up tight . . i know when i blew off my hose the turbo has a real high pitch whistle and no boost so i thought i did my turbo too. just have a close look at your piping . . there might be a spilt in the hose or just come off, its worth checking

I drove around in my old car (VT wagon) for a week or 2 without a front bumper. Didnt have any problems. . not sure if cops saw me or not but didnt get pulled over while it was off. But yeah im pretty sure it is illegal for reasons like dan mentioned. And yeah im pretty sure no bonnet is illegal too
