Id agree with that, some good results happening on 3.0L and 3.2 stroker kits with the 6870 from what im seeing around. Could be OK for a 2.6 if a small enough rear housing is selected, but it would be a issue up top end when at song. (depending on how hard you pushed it)

Its a common problem when 4wd launching, right between Cyl 3 and 4, its the weakest part of the block, extra oil passages run across there. Its the front diff forces being put though the block that twists it. Many people throw and inch or 2 of hardblok into the water jackets to help strengthen the blocks up a bit more. First get a second opinion to make sure its actually cracked and not a bad fitting or welsh plug.

Skyline Braking Issue
GTRPSI replied to stranger12's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
We have run both DBA and RDA rotors on or GTR and S2000, not a problem. EBC in Reds are rated to 650 degrees and very gentle on the rotors and low dust. EBC Yellows are a little harsher on the disc, rated to 900 degrees and dust up heaps. My everyday daily cars run the EBC Redstuff (FG Turbo ute and Mrs Falcon), GTR and S2000 is on Yellows as they get pushed hard and need a bit more temp rating for late braking etc. -

DBA is not Australian made, its made in China, its a Australian company, just like RDA.. -
Its going to be a hard one. Running E85 on a car thats stored is a issue as you will need to drain the tank to avoid it absorbing water from the air. Flex fuel is a issue, a little bit of 98 mixed with E85 drops the E85 content drasictly (not in proportion to how you would think) and can take a tank or 2 of straight E85 to get the ethanol contenet back up again. Water in E85 makes the flex fuel sensor read higher (more E85) and can cause issues with the flex tune running in the harder tune when the fuel is contaminated with water. This was all gone over at the SAU flex fuel night a Sabbaddini's last year. Im thinking if E85 starts becoming hard to find that its time for people to start looking into running 98 with water meth injection.

Does Australia Have The Best Looking Cop Cars?

Whats that saying, the bigger the car the smaller the penis? -
The main purpose of the Greddy plenum is to help equalize cylinder flow, the stocky is known to push too much air towards cyl 5 and 6 causing them to run leaner than the other 4. There is no power to be gained running one, stocky is good for high power builds. Key point is to run the highest flowing injectors towards the rear to aid the lean issue. So many people running the stock intake manifold to over 450Kw its not funny.

Skyline Braking Issue
GTRPSI replied to stranger12's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
One thing that we see on brakes thats been overlooked is the wheel hubs being warped. Tyre shops love using rattle guns and over tightening wheel nuts, this warps the hub which in turn means the rotor sitting over it will have runout. And one other thing is disc thickness variation, some pads agrivate this issue, once the rotor is scolloped its hard to measure with a dial indicator, only a light skim brings back the rotors. Everything else said previously concerning other causes it pretty spot on..... Also sticking calipers are a major source of warped rotors, push back the pistons, make sure none are hard to push back, any that are are overheating the rotor on one side. -
Oil Control In Rb's For Circuit Drag Or Drift
GTRPSI replied to Sydneykid's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I once had that issue in the early days, it didnt kill the turbos. But it did end up smoking under boost like it had a blown turbo. Ended up being oil had pooled in the intercooler piping just before the intercooler, cleaned it all out, was back to normal. -
Its got the look that any Jap car owner could look at and say "its a ricer" and not feel like a ricer themselves. A bit too ricer for my liking.....

I had twin 2540's on my old GTR setup, never heard a sound on shutdown. Sounds like somethings scraping in there......

Whats your clearance between the sump and the cross member? Work that out and then notch your engine mounts arm holes where it bolts to the block to slide the engine lower.

If your looking at air bags try the mob below, ive got one of their kits in the back of my ute, flick of a switch to raise or lower as needed, aircompressor pump and tank is under the vehicle.... http://www.airide.com.au/main.php They do air struts, i will be adding them to the front of mine next time i need to change the shockers.

2 ways, copper paste on the backing plates or PBR Anti squeal, and make sure you leave the shim they supply on the pads. Also retension the spring loaded plate that goes over the 2 pins as it pushes the pads down to stop them bouncing around. Your noise is most likely between the back of the pads and the caliper body contact points including the pistons, its caused by the pads moving at a high frequency and rubbing inside the caliper. Also make sure you have done at least 500Km to make sure they are bedded in, during bed in expect some noise and dust. We are RDA agents and sell thousands of their pads yearly without issues if the person fitting them knows what they are doing.

A Question For You High Boost People
GTRPSI replied to Kinkstaah's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
1 hole in the middle feeding 6 holes is more balanced than 1 big hole on 1 end feeding 6. Turbo F1 era ran 1 hole in the middle feeding 4 with a log design intake manifold. That was more a case of even air disributon and tuning the intake. ITB were the best way of getting good throttle response.
