  1. I locked it to save weight and complexity under the rear and because i could now use the steel Hicas lines as larger fuel feed lines and the old fuel feed lines as the fuel return lines. Im very old school about the R32 GTR's, i loved Hicas, having a loose rear end it behaved like a RWD on dirt on tar and didnt bother me at high speed, i grew up Rally driving on a club level and i felt natural to feel the rear move around at speed and correct. The change point for me was once when testing the car, i did a 4WD hard launch and threw it around while the 4WD Gauge was up and got her crab walking side to side, that time when hicas was correcting things it was virtually uncontrollable, the car was not doing what i wanted it to to correct things, from that point i saw the weak side of it and decided to remove it.
  2. http://imageshack.com/a/img23/998/yhvc.jpg Just took a pic of it to save the confusion.
  3. Yes i have the RH one out right now as im putting a Whiteline locking bar, yes it is seriously bent standard. Perfectly normal on a R32 GTR, no need to replace it.
  4. The one on the right is your tie rod end, the one on the left is your steering rack side tie rod.
  5. If this is the case, then logic should be to run the 2 Hicas lines for fuel feed and the old fuel line and return as the return lines for 600Kw with twin Walbos? Sounds line enough line flow with safety margin? Just looking in the engine bay with the engine out, those Hicas lines look about the size of the main fuel feed single line but theres 2 of them and ive got a Hicas lock bar in now.
  6. So whats being said here is that for 500Kw + at the wheels that the standard fuel lines are large enough for the flow needed on E85? If so whats the limit of the standard fuel lines? Bosch 044's are E85 safe?
  7. friday bump...
  8. RB30's out there that have spun to 10,000 Rpm.....have a read out what RIPS does with them. As mentioned limiter bashing kills them, but also running too much oil pressure on a narrow drive, it only adds to the strain of the connection point which is small. Personally i wouldnt build anything without using a wider oil pump drive collar, that area is the weakest RB link internally. 7mm of engagement is very small, i would only accept this if it was a budget low RPM stock rebuild that was never reved. Having a pump with a large engagement area only working on 7mm is not ideal, just at least get a wider collar fitted to spread the load. Remember a pump failure will cost you the engine, a collar is not expensive to buy and get fitted.
  9. N1 skirts genuine are worth 700ish here...
  10. Just because something is sold on ebay does not mean its cheap crap. Extreme is a good brand, made in South Australia i think from memory, ive spoken to them before as i was going to carry their line of clutches, they are good, they stand behind them, they are cheap because they are looking to break into a market dominated by exedy, from memory i think some of the components to make them come from exedy, just like NPC and Jim Berrys clutches.
  11. I just tape over the deck, then grind away. Either way is fine though, id rather the grinding done to the block so any manifold changes dont require the new manifold to be worked on again.
  12. Pull the plug, use a bore scope and have a look around inside. IF you used the correct length plugs there is no way the piston would close the plug gap, the sides of the piston would hit the head first and you would hear that from a mile away. Im wondering if you dropped a valve guide in there.....bore scope will soon find out.... Something hit your plug to close it and i highly doubt it was a piston. There is always a possibility that the last person to fit the plug dropped it off the socket as they were fitting the plug down the hole and it closed the gap considerably, these things can happen when people are careless, ive seen this in the past on a number of engines where they didnt have the rubber sleeve to hold the plug into the socket in good condition and the plug just slides off and drops down into the head closing the gap. Anyone who has this happen should get the plug out and recheck the gap before putting it back in.
  13. I notice the shaft has rust on it. Im assuming you cleaned the rest off on the part that went in. If you didnt it will tear the seal on the gearbox. If you want to know who far in it should go, take it out and check the witness mark on it where it rubbed on the oil seal before, should be making contact at the same point or close to it.

  15. You will need to take off the head to get the pistons out to resize the rods for the new rod bolts.
  16. Your obvioulsy a big (edit) who brings shame to the Skyline name and reputation, go buy a Lancer and put a Evo body kit on it so we dont need to associate with you, then go mix with your own kind of jerk, you can all go and ski each other (visual joke) over your fully sic hectic cars. Your Skyline would have a shit reputation if it wasnt for the R32 GTR, im guerssing you own a R34 GTT because you couldnt afford the R34 GTR, ill bet you have a GTR badge on because of this and are cut because people are mocking you.
  17. It is stupid, especially when you own a GTR and see a GTST or GTT with one. Its like the owner has a massive L tattooed to his forehead. They are tryhards, they should stick to the shopping list down the side of the doors on their stocky setup. Edit, Im sure Holden V8 owners think the same when they see a V6 Commonwhore with Chev badges. Usually those drivers include a seat reclined all the way back, the boot rattling from the subs, and the cap turned backwards and to one side for extra down force when the cabin vents are open......
  18. No, i sell them on ebay, diffrent seal sizes between front and rear.
  19. Throw me offers guys.
  20. Edge motorworks, 83619523, ask for Barry (owner) 3/17 Carrington Drive Albion, Melbourne https://www.facebook.com/pages/EDGE-Motorworks/205856306122576
  21. Should just come off, its probably silicon holding it on, yes 10 screws after counting them on my diff.. Watch the breather tube on top too. You just pry the shaft out using a big screw driver from inside the diff, the clip just hops over the cut in the shaft.
  22. I have some coil overs. They are stiff but great. No body roll around corners at all. They were blue (cusco?) but painted them black just incase I got pulled over and they checked. $800ono
