And THEY ARE 4 STUD!!!
-
Would that cause the front diff to pack it in or was that just a matter of time?
-
The car is at a workshop, they reckon they checked all fluid levels. Me thinks thats crap! I will go there and check myself

Update. Broke front diff on the dyno We have a problem with power being delivered to the front 50:50 and cant change it no matter what we do, ie disconnect pump etc Feels as though it is mechanically locked in 4wd, at rest when the car is on stands you can roll the rear wheels and the fronts turn is this normal?

New engine is in and getting dynoed atm. Going to sydney dragway for a couple of runs on Saturday at the Mighty Car Mods meet
-
Looks good from this angle
-
Thats a 1:08.00 according to the Qstars!! Its good for a 1:06 on new semis and with a properly working rear diff. Not bad for an unopened engine..

Seriously get a haltech, had a vipec plug in in my gtr had problems with it and there was no one around to help! ie tech support.

Took all the pipes off on the turbo side to find oil in them, Question: does this oil mean should be looking at the turbo seals? evidence of inline restrictor?, is it too much oil to be blow-by? The car was blowing smoke off throttle, we turned the boost down to 9psi and this reduced the smoke but if we revved to 7200 it would happen again off throttle. any thoughts?

Standard
-
When we fix the diffs and the blow by issues we should shave another 2 -3 seconds off the best time, we had to run low boost (12psi) after the first session.

Why not aim for 447.6kw ?? -
+1. Haltech platinum pro, threw vipec in the bin massive issues and no tech support
-
Just a quick update, the car has been at the tuners where the final mechanical touches have been done, including tomei cam gears, power steering cooler, id2000 injector plus fuel rail install, hooked up fuel surge tank plus twin 044s, installed haltech duel wideband. All was looking good and we looked set to go testing this Sunday at Wakefield until the vipec decided to pack it in It was doing all sorts of weird codes and asking to set parameters for things that don't exist on the car ie, set parameters for electronic throttle ??? You have no option but to set something, so after trying for two days to get thru to the vipec dealers ( they did not respond once) we decided to ditch the vipec and purchased a haltech platinum pro, they seem to have a good network of technical guys who will actually help you not ignore you. Car is back on the dyno on Monday, we will post results

does anyone have results for this setup with -7`s, before and after?
-
Seriously considering this as an option, we were looking at an e85 conversion but it was going into the $1000s by the time you uprate injectors, pumps, flex tune etc.. Is there a tuner in sydney with experience in this?

im thinking that if you cooked it then the head will be a little out of shape. a surface grind may fix it though the casting may have lost its integrity.

Need Help For Track Day!
DMAN#20 replied to Zaver's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
the best thing would be to get four 2nd hand semi slicks or high performance road tyres of the same wear, this will give you a balanced car. -

DMAN#20 replied to joeyjoejoejuniorshabadoo's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
just bought a 1.5 nismo centre, not sure if i should put it in the front diff and up grade the rear with the nismo clutchs (its a 32 gtr) or put the 1.5 way in the rear, and leave the front? -
