  1. 2 years and a half years with RACQ Breakdown 3 years as and auto electrician 15 years self taught playing/modding with mine and others cars. Currently a computer tech.
  2. Have a Look at the following links proves what I'm saying is pritty much spot on http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/O2_sensor.html http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/techadvice.html http://www.autospeed.com.au/cms/article.ht...gestions&A=1513 http://www.teamfc3s.org/info/articles/fcd/diy_fcd.htm some of these sites may not have info on the current topic but they should give a better understanding of certian efi functions Enjoy
  3. Nothing wrong with my car electrics. I'm not saying that a car fitted with an Atmo venting BOV won’t pass emissions testing, I’m saying that it causes off throttle richness however most turbo cars without tuning to suit fitted with an Atmo venting BOV won’t pass emission testing if tested properly. No only during cruise BTW it’s called closed loop. It’s used for fuel economy mainly and to help the cat converter to work hence emissions are corrected.
  4. thats right they only read between 12 - 14 or so, and only once the motor is hot enough, A wide band O2 sensor is around the $500 mark Hey Theres another reason why the ecu cant use the O2 sensor as described by gerygirl1976 the signal would be out of range the factory ecu only uses its signal during cruse mode not throttle on or throttle off.
  5. Mate I run A Link Lambda on my car and before my new ecu it stayed rich for more than 2 sec on back off (blow Off Venting to atmo) on the dyno it run so rich it was off the scale 10:1 and richer. By what you are saying the ecu ignores the afm for 1/8 of a second well it takes longer than that for a bov to dump to atmo therfore the mixtures could go rich. it takes 1/8 of a sec for the pressure to build high enough for the bov to open. most ecu's only sample every 1/8 sec or 125ms You are not correct with what you are saying Sorry...
  6. gerygirl1976 Yeah, Where is the AFM in your exellent but incorrect (when applied to skylines anyway) explanation? You may need to go back to tafe and recover the module on efi and fuel mixtures. ok time to talk technical Are you sure what you said isn't applied to a map type efi only? because what you said dose sound correct for map sensor efi. To take the point one further, I have perviously fixed the stalling due to overrich with an atmo bov problem by adjusting the air bypass valve at the back of the inlet.
  7. DREMEN Do yo get a boost reading on your boost gauge? Check that the top half of your inlet is bolted down properly I had a boost leak from there once. also with the broken exhaust stud I also have one broken but not leaking (broken before I got the car) and I've been running 14 psi for about 2 years now. Regards Damqik
  8. greygirl1973 maybe I can explain why raist60 is right, With a atmo ventventing BOV the Afm has accounted for the fuel going into the motor, but not for it getting dumped to atmo thats why a atmo venting BOV will richen up the mixtures on a throttle release, this is however not harmful for the engine as it only happens for a moment it has been known to cause minor flooding of the engine causeing it to stall.
  9. The Screen is NOT cracked just burised from trying to get it going again its covered no probs.
  10. Actually I found out just the other day that if I send the phone to nokia that they will fix the phone for free. And this is all alot of these so called phone repair shops do with the 8210.
  11. Thats why it has a custom HD clutch.

  13. I also have a used nokia 8210 Complete in box This phone comes with a a few covers and a belt clip back aswell as the standard (flat) back it also has the mains charger This phone has a small bruise on the screen allthogh all digits can still be read. I have had quotes for a new screen ($100) So $50 as is or $150 with a new screen (Iwould require payment before putting in for repair)(they require the phone for a day.
  14. I should have pictures of the rust and the car posted by Saturday
  15. BTW The car is is not under finance and is unemcumbered.
  16. The Chasis has rust in it. Its not serious but its enough to have the car knocked back on a roadworthy. $12000 the price is what he said he needed to get out of hock and as such his asking price for the car.
  17. Location: Sunshine coast Used Nokia 6210 in origanal box! Car kit to suit, mutes stereo with calls ect has Mic and speaker (requires antanna usually about $10) has nokia data lead to sinc with outlook and Data suite program. has manual and mains charger also. All For $250 Email or Pm Me.
  18. 93 R33 GTST $12000 ONO SOLD! This is a private sale on the Sunshine Coast I'm posting for a friend. The car is Stock except for a cat back zorst and custom HD clutch which is 9 month old, the car is complete & running. (Currently registered & complied). He is Selling Unregistered. And in AS IS condition. Silver two tone in colour. Engine and drive chain is in very good condition as are all panels and interior & trim. (The car drives very nicely I have driven it quite a few times) the owner has been changing oil and filter every 5000k without fail there is about 80thou on the clock. The owner just needs to get rid of it and can't afford to fix the chassis rust in it for a roadworthy. The car was purchased about 10 months ago for $21000 from a Brisbane dealer. email me or pm and I will pass on the owners phone number.
  19. I have a R33 and it and all others that I have seen have two FPR's one on the inlet of the fuel rail and one on the outlet-return to tank, I belive they do this to stop fuel presure hammering the lines and injector rail. So maybe its factory or fitted to prevent this problem. Regards Damqik
  20. I have a standard boost solenoid off an R33 (Painted Red) I'm on the Sunshine Coast Qld. How much are you wanting to pay?
  21. It sounds more like your temp sender is not earthed properly Did you use thred tape when fitting the sender that can cause problems. Also test the sender with heat and an ohm meter. the resistance changes with temp change. Are you sure that you the shell (metle case) of the sender is getting good earth? use a bit of wire to the battery neg terminal and with the car hot touch it to the side of the sensor (ing needs to be on.). Hope that makes sence. Regards Damqik
  22. 2rismo well put! Forced induction is percisely what nos is! I know guys that use it flowing (slowly) into fueltanks to weld on them! it removes the oxygen and pervents the tank from exploding. Damqik
  23. No this is not correct! NOS is a inert gas (its non flammable) it works by chilling the air which compresses it allowing more air into your motor it has the same affect as rasing your boost. Damqik
  24. Food for thought! this would also require a re tune but here it go's placing somthing (Small) in the path of the hot wire airflow path would slow the cooling affect of the hot wire therefore would change the band of resloution (would require more air passing it to cool to get to its 5volts max) is this not why a stock car runs slightly richer when the mesh screen are removed from the AFM. Damqik
