I checked the site after I posted - looks like a portable sandblaster with some sort of template/stencil. Simple, but effective. Just to clarify, is this deal on this weekend, or some other weekend?

It would be an acid etch. Windows would most likely be hydrofluoric acid, dunno about metal components though.

I filled up today - total of 481km since the meet in Chaddy. 62.32L went in for an average of 12.96L/100km. Not bad for a car running the power it is, eh? :looney:

My factory front speakers are knackered, and whilst I put together the cash for a good system, I'd like to simply replace them with another pair. Anyone have some lying around they don't want anymore? Cheers, Nick

It wasn't an unmarked car as far as I could tell; my concern was that he was an off-duty member. He was guilty of speeding to the point of licence loss himself though.

Fins on the diff don't make it a VSpec. VSpecs came with R33 Brembo brakes and BBS 17" wheels.

When you ran the diagnostic, did it show -27 or 27? There's very little information in the service manual. It's page HA 14, but I can't work out exactly where that sensor is in the pic.

No you weren't the only one mate... on the long straight stretches I too was doing the limit. I wasn't pushing really hard through the twisties as I had a line of black R33GTSt (with GTR badge), white R32 GTSt, black R32 GTSt, green Minitruck and a red Z in front of me and I wasn't going to attempt to overtake that lineup! I was sitting behind a maroon VL and Lee in the R33GTSt earlier, but they pulled over and I went through. Thanks guys. Oh, and there was a nice flame flash out of that 33 just before you decided to pull over. Wish I'd had a video camera on board! The main reason I stuck to the speed limit on the straights was a purple BA XR6T (JAI-010)that pulled over, let us through, then stuck on my ass like glue. I had my suspicions he was an off-duty copper the way he accelerated to catch us up. I don't think he was, but I didn't want to take any chances. I didn't get to know a lot of you guys, but I did chat to a few without getting names/nicks. Like I said in the other thread, I've been a member of quite a few "online" car clubs, and the type of people I met yesterday are much more mature and responsible than most I've met in other online clubs. It was a well organised run, but not enough people had UHFs. The funniest sight for me was the dude on the motorbike. Pic is attached. [edit] I forgot to add the numberplate topping it off. Sorry to the dudes in the black R33 GTSt that I overtook just before we entered Apollo Bay - I imagine it was incredibly loud as I screamed past. I apologised then and I'm apologising again now. I'm keen to head out on another one. Oh and Brandon, 430km and still have over 1/4 tank

It looks like a a scared passenger was sitting there once and the driver forgot to mention that nappies were mandatory in such a fast car..

How many of you will have UHFs? I'm packing mine, but last cruise I went to there were only 3 of us with them so it was a little pointless! I'm looking forward to going in convoy with you guys... I'm an SAU virgin. I've done WRX cruises in the Rex, mixed cruises in the GTR and Mini, but never a Skyline variant.

Please don't misinterpret my posts. I was witness to absolute recklessness, and don't want to find myself in that situation again. I'm looking forward to having a great day with good blokes in good cars; nothing more, nothing less. Brandon, I've e-mailed Timbo, let's hope he wants to join us.

I believe we will... I'm looking forward to it. I just don't want a repeat head-on that occurred right behind me. I also have some bad memories of the GOR when I had my brand new (6 week old) MY00 WRX crashed into by a bloke on the wrong side of the road. This was 2 years ago. He caused $10k damage to my car. I haven't driven the road since then, only been passenger.

When I make reference to clowns, I'm not talking about our crew, I'm talking about the fact that this cruise has been posted openly on NissanSilvia. It states that they're all welcome. It's also listed in the Unofficial section of MCCR. It's this "unknown element" I'm concerned with.

I lost my GTR badge too. My car's been badged twice, and at $145 for an original GTR badge, I decided to go badgeless. I recently added an "R" decal though.

I just hope that the guys from Nissansilvia behave themselves. I went as a passenger on their last GOR cruise and was absolutely horrified. I hope there's no clowns like that there on the weekend. I'll be "cruising", so I'll hang down the back I'd say. Here's a link to the NS cruise stuff. Click

After I put Platinum plugs in, I was warned against using boosters. Apparently it's the platinums that are sensitive; regular copper plugs are fine.

I don't have a stock one, but I've got an RSR exhaust that basically sounds stock. If you want to try it out and get a test, let me know.
