When it comes to showing them the problem I've noticed is that when I've got a passenger the frequency of its occurence is much reduced. Tom, I'd be interested. Is it only for a factory ECU, or would it work with a PowerFC also? I've got an old laptop I'd like to use for this sort of data aquisition - quite important on track days I feel.

Are these the arms you refer to? My GTR has these Tein arms on the front suspension with rose joints on the front end. I've noticed loud "knocking" noises coming from the front of my car (which recently had all Bilsteins rebuilt), and can't work out the source. It's very annoying and to be frank, a little embarrassing, especially when taking a chick out. I've taken the car back to Quadrant twice, and will be taking back again as I'm still not happy, and Nissan don't know where the sound is originating from either. I've attached 3 pics.

My 70L tank gets me on average a little over 500km. I usually use BP Ultimate, but failing that I'll only use Synergy8000; I'm not touching that OptiMax crap. I'm only running a little over 210kW though. Amaru: if your mates and your car are pinging then I suggest you get a good tune... I don't need to worry about it and I've driven in 30+C conditions.

So it's basically burning oil? Is the coolant level in your radiator getting lower or staying the same? Have you drained the oil and had a look at its colour?

Is that $3000 total, or $3000 in turbos only?

Out of interest, when you are running the diagnostic, is the car moving or stationary? If it's stationary there's your answer.

Okay, I've had this problem since I took delivery of my car 12 months ago; I have what can only be described as passive rear steering. When I'm part way through a corner, or when I hit certain bumps in the orad, the car has a tendecy to do some funny sh1t. In the cornering department, the car straightens up for a second, then tucks back into the cornering line again - something that's particularly scary on the racetrack! On straights the car tends to "wobble" as if the rears decide to turn of their own accord with no steering input. Originally my car was fitted with a Nardi steering wheel (with HICAS Boss) and Bilstein suspension lowered onto the bump-stops. Now I've put an original wheel back on (not quite lined up which has had the effect of now lighting up the HICAS light some 10km after my journey's started), and raised the car 20mm and gained sufficient suspension travel. My HICAS diagnostic codes when I had the aftermarket wheel on were: no fault from 1. RH solenoid output 2. LH solenoid output 3. Fail-safe valve output 4. Power steering solenoid output but faults from: 5. Vehicle speed signal 6. Steering angle signal 7. Steering angle neutral signal 8. Clutch signal 9. Neutral signal Of further note is that the car has definitely had the speed cut removed, and has some sort of ATTESSA override switch, which with the press of a button I can put the car in RWD (for burnouts I guess). Any ideas what I should do? I've got my car booked with Nissan next week, but if I can fix myself I'de prefer it Cheers, Nick
