  1. Has the money arrived in the account now?
  2. I'm going to be really harsh here. Why didn't you check the specifications before you bought the car? Your car is too highly powered for P's. The Law is the Law, and Police issue guidebooks are the Law that's enforced. Selling the car might be a bit over the top, perhaps garage it until you're off your P's? Either that, or risk your licence by driving around without P's up. That's my opinion. You can't claim ignorance of the Law - it's no excuse.
  3. I know from personal experience that if the account number and name don't match, the money is returned to the original account. It's 100% clear he's walked off with your money.

    Help~~~~!!!

Probably half an hour; it not a huge distance. Grab yourself a Melway and you'll be able to see how far the journey is
  5. That's exactly what I was getting at

    Help~~~~!!!

You might want to check out the replies in this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=43852 Notice a recurring theme?
  7. What's on at Somerton today? What time?
  8. Photos would be good. I love these educational threads with pictures illustrating things... much like Troy's crashed car thread.
  9. Do you mean in non-GTRs Roy? I'm trying to decipher your question
  10. Yeah, I thought there was a little bit of security when dealing with Paypal/Escrow. Hope you get your cash back Ferni. Reading through the NS.co.nz site is quite horrific - I remember when the Ray Mullany deal was going on, and I thought it all passed... I hope that snowboard I bought on eBay is going to come my way!

    Help~~~~!!!

Have you decided on a workshop yet?
  12. I reckon you should've put some "special yoghurt" in his smoothie :zap:
  13. I spent a day in a Rotax125 and I was very impressed. Electric start, auto clutch, watercooled, nice and quick too. Best kart I've ever been in, and probably the kart I'd buy. I'll eventually get around to buying one and (socially) racing it.
  14. Anyone else? Sydneykid?
  15. RacePace. Ben's a guru.

    Help~~~~!!!

I work in Oakleigh, so you might see me around that area, yes
  17. That makes sense - I thought you were shooting 35mm on multiple exposures. When one does that, the boarder would look ghost-like as he's underexposed compared to the background. I might have to try and perfomr the same deal with my digicam; I'd never even thought about photoshopping them together!

    Titanium Engines

Wouldn't you need a flux capacitor with a titanium engine?
  19. Nice shots Ferni.. how did you get the multiple exposure log shot to come out so nice?
  20. 2003 Salomon Synapse Mens Snowboard Boots US9.0 EUR42 2/3 UK9.5 CM27.0 RRP ~AUD$500 Bought new in Japan Jan 2003, tag seen in photo Only used for approximately 1 week on the slopes, these boots even smell new. There's minor damage to the right boot foam from lift queues (see photo), but any used boot has wear marks. It doesn't detract from the functionality, nor compromise stability. Synapse is Salomon's second-best snowboard boot, only one below the flagship Malamute model. The versatile Salomon Synapse snowboard boot is suitable for all-mountain riding at all levels and is designed to provide a combination of comfort and support. Ready for any mountain aspect, the Synapse is Salomon's most versatile and adaptable boot. A Customfit 3D liner and naturally flexing digital sole conform to any type of shredding. Strong envelopment and extra forward and lateral support create a bastion of self-assurance. The Synapse will keep you comfortable day in day out. Stiff uppers for powerful toe slides and a flexible soul for the trek back to the chalet. Salomon's auto-fit foam dials the fit, Quicklace liners keep down your heel and dual diameter laces save your hands. Don't spend the day tying laces ever again. The one-pull Quicklace system keeps the inner boot securely fastened and a high-abrasion rubber sole offers grip in all kinds of terrain and temperatures. Aluminium foil lined, heat is retained within the boot and sub-zero temperatures kept out. Central Tongue Bio-Cage CustomFit 3D Liner Quicklace Advanced Lacing System Versatile Flex Sensitive Digital with PHL Sole Bottom Line: With a moderate flex, the Synapse is a bit less aggressive than the Malamute, and represents a great choice for low intermediate to low advanced riders. In the few times I've used these boots, I never experienced cold feet, even in -10C temperatures. And although sized too large for my feet (thanks Mr Japanese salesman!) they're supremely comfortable. The tiny amount of movement I get tends to cause a small blister after a solid day on the slopes, so for me it's time to get some correctly sized boots. I'll be replacing with a smaller sized Synapse without a doubt. You owe it to yourself, buy these boots and have the most comfortable ride you've had on a snowboard. I'm looking for $220 ONO You can get an owner review here: http://www.outdoorreview.com/pscSnowboard,...rx.aspx#reviews
  21. Merli, I wouldn't use digital media - I'd be taking the photos on 35mm and having them processed immdiately with a "summary" print showing all shots on the roll. This will have a date stamped on it, and you'll have an hard copy receipt too. Then it's difficult for them to say the scratches were made "in the last month". If you're really concerned, you can take digital shots, print several pictures onto a page, fold up the page and seal with scotch tape, and mail it to yourself. That way there's a franking stamp that's dated by Australia Post.
  22. How much is an acceptable amount SK? I just want to try and maintain a healthy car
  23. Seeing as your question is answered, and my question directly relates to this, I thought I'd ask a very similar question My catchcan (for want of a better word!) is a simple plastic bottle that the breather hose runs into, it has no filter on it, no steelwool packing and is open through a few vent holes I drilled into it. The breather hose comes off the drivers side breather, with the factory hose running between the drivers and passengers breathers still in situ. The PCV valve (on drivers side) has been plugged and the opening in the intake pipe has also been stoppered. Basically it's a vent-to-atmosphere breather. It tends to fill with a strong smelling amberish fluid, which I think may be water. When the car is cold, there's a small amount steam that comes out of the pipe when idling. I recently fitted some 2530s, and before fitting we did a leakdown test on all cylinders to check the engine health - all were "normal". The catchcan was filling with this 'water' before the turbo upgrade. I don't have any oil in my coolant, and no coolant in my oil, so I don't think there's a headgasket problem. I'm just concerned as to why there's a fair amount of liquid forming in my catchcan... I know there's people out there who have the can draining directly into the sump, but I wouldn't dream of doing it as that means I'd be contaminating my sump. Any information on my situation would be great.
  24. So you're telling me that the holes in the back of the steering wheel are incorrect? A very annoying predicament if that's the case, as I can't seem to align the holes to be in the 12 and 6 positions! (See picture 6)
  25. there isn't a boss as far as I know... isn't the boss built into the steering wheel itself as illustrated in the pics? What you see in the pics is what I've got. Picture 1: horn button pulled out Picture 2: wheel taken off Picture 3: Indicator stalk cover removed Picture 4: HICAS ring removed Picture 5: Hicas ring attached by wiring loom, hanging down Picture 6: Back of stock steering wheel Picture 7: Back of steering wheel with rear coverplate removed, exposing what appears to be 2 magnets Picture 8: Angled shot of magnets
