yeah uped and downed the idle did nothing could it be the gearbox cos it only when its in gear and changes are pretty heavy

reset the ecu did nothing also noticed that the car is kind of struggling under low revs before boost comes on it seems like im towing a boat i dunno buying a new engine soon to rebuild cheers

yeah bubba it probably was the water pump i read bout the cp pistions are 200 extra and the cometic gasket is 25 extra anyone heard of or used the dupro gasket kit cheers

sweet so im gonna cut costs in the pars department by sourcing the parts myself i havent had many recommedations on who to use in the build so does anyone have any definate objections to using any particular workshops cheers

anyone recommend gearbox shops to build a auto box to handle 350rwkw

yeah gonna have a ring around im thinking the racespec kit arp main and head studs water pump oil pump crank and main bearings bout 3.5k plus labour oh and gaskets

definatly gonna shop around heaps the racespec ones seem okay i read somewhere that the n1 oil pump is dodgey on street driven cars something bout it cant pump enough oil at low rpm or something not sure how true it is how long would a rebuild take at a shop taking into consideration other jobs and all that cheers

i am very much leaning towards a 25/30 ill get it done at a shop any recommendations a workshop i found has a kit for a 25 $5120 for parts plus labour which that said 1500-1800 depending on the condition of the head sound ok??? was thinking of manual convertion or shift kit and oil cooler and some strengthening havent really researched gearboxs in depth yet

skyryan ATWELL represent i went to primary school with your bro yeah i dont think it will be long till it blows its surging at idle but only in drive and neutral(its auto) no idea what it is i have reset the ecu to no effect runs perfectly above idle on and off boost so with the oversized pistons should i wait to get the rebuild kit after the motor has been machined so i can see what sizes i need or would most machining places bore the block out to a requested size even if its not needed? cheers

i was thinking of buying a motor and build it up this might be a stupid question but what the diff between a short and long motor??? and when it comes to pistons what do 20 thou and 40 thou mean?? cheers
