Rb25 + Gt3076R & Mods, Made Low Power On Dyno Tune Why?
jet_r31 replied to DriftSquad's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
been waiting for that^^ cheers darren -
yeh i have no idea mate, im no expert, but have done a far few setups now, its definitly worth a shot id like to know aswell as everything ive used so far hasn;t been turbo limited(but will be in the future) i think if you've already got the octane (eg c16, e85 etc)then a very small amount is the go, enough to give more comp flow without killing the power,. the Rb25 3076 setup should show something.... hopefully cheers darren
-
The thing is, is apparently you pick up 5 ish percent more comp flow pre-turbo Now the thing i see holding that back, is generally most peoples turbo setups are turbine/exhaust housing restricted so more comp flow i would guess might not do much if the bottleneck is at the other end.. But atm, we have setup a 50cc (and have a 100cc spare aswell)pre-turbo jet on a E85 fuelled 3076 .63 setup Rb25 neo that will be run flat out and is already leant on hard, so we will see soon if it makes much difference. All my setups have been compressor limited, and even my new Gt45 setup on my 31 is comp limited. If you look at v8 turbo drag racing,or turbo restricted, pre comp is pretty popular, AIS systems are very popular cheers darren

In that particular case, which scenario do you think would have higher cylinder pressure? cheers darren
-
correct, but it comes down to many factors, how much power your making, how much volume of fluid you used , and the variance of standard style ignition systems on each vehicle to start with cheers darren

cool, thanks guys! just have to get mr kando to send right ex housing then..lol cheers darren

Can someone tell me, is the trust t517Z comp wheel and the TD05 16G6 comp wheel the same wheel? cheers darren

I made 370- 470rwkw for 2.5yrs with the cast precision(cars auto aswell )..i then had a original alternator fail and cut the pumps under full boost broke 1 piston other 5 where fine. Ive also used them in a 5k toyota motor, made 156rkw on 24-25psi,on 98 octane had them in for 7-8ish yrs before i sold motor. Some people have no luck with them though. Standard pistons are super strong though if you find a set not to worn! cheers darren

Nice work, i was wondering if you where going to build something like that, as i thought that was the original ss4 brief, nice work once again . where does the vnt actuator go?, as in does it go where you usually fit your internal wastegate actuator?(looks like it) i can't remember if i have even seen a photo of it out of a engine bay cheers darren

Pre turbo WMI injection , pneumatic system, been on a yr with no trouble think it did 10.55@130 ish on weekend, 60ft better on this pass and missed 2nd, would have been into the low 10.4's wish he' d bang a T3 Precision 6466 .82 or Fp turbo on it cheers darren

I have a flow gauge on my pump system, i check it same as i check a boost gauge under initial throttle. In 12,000km, havnt had a blocked nozzle with a 40 micron filter. you can hook a flow gauge up to most ECU's and have it switch to the knock map if it doesn't sense flow With a pneumatic system, i never check anything,(except for hose clamps) f**kall can fail really, a solenoid to switch it on or a hobbs pressure switch, is all that can fail, no motors and no 250psi pressure like a pump system, just whatever your boost is One day im going to put my airflow meter in cooler pipe and convert the daily stagea to pneumatic, and then just keep the pump system for my race/street car to use a 120cc jet pre-turbo ontop of the E85, just for lower AIT's up top of track cheers darren -

Stao..how about you make one with a Gt37 style turbine. like i said in my messages a while back ...the rb30 boys would be able to use that aswell...Ill even test it on a mid 10 sec car..lol cheers darren

My mates, mate(lol, i know), bought one of these new hi-flows of stao a few weeks ago for his manual rs4's stagea apparently he rates it highly already with just a decent nistune base map in it on low boost so far, think they are doing ponnies in it next and then getting tune sorted My mate drove it and raved about its response , Bang for buck it sounds like a real winner... cheers darren
