used a t28 before and a hks 2530. But yeh a standard style T28 modified to fit a .48 housing would be around the mark in my eyes cheers darren
-
hyperactive boost controller with Co2 setup ..lol cheers darren
-
haha..my bad, thats a huge bitch. And i wasn't thinking. I meant to say a Ca18 T25 housing, the .48 ones Something that would fit in that housing, but give greater flow than standard turbo and good response still for a 1.5L non crossflow motor on 20-25psi..talking 150-170rwkw. i guess. Be good if it could still bolt in a .64 housing later for testing purposes Something that would make 210rwkw ish on a sr20 on 98 with best response may be in the ballpark ish even a standard Sr20 T28 would be decent, just wondered if you had something better.. cheers darren
-
out of interest stao, is there anything you can build into a T25G exhaust housing? cheers darren
-
no doubt..lol..anyway gears won't clunk..lol cheers darren

its not a bad result, before we used wmi, it made 258rwkw, and at that time they said they have done 5 3076 56T .82 setups on stageas and that the good ones got into the 250's on same boost and all 5 where out of puff the same, even the ones they owned personally... i woudn't run that timing though, id pull 2 degrees out if it was a 98 tune, and it was on the knife edge In all truth, the wmi let me run 12 degrees more timing when you take that into account...lol ..theres a few thing i can check, and a few things that happened that i'll keep to myself and see if the theorys workout,I'll revisit the dyno in a month or so one night. Im happy with the turbo and everything, just want to make sure its all working as well as it can cheers darren

yeh you have me going, ive been trying to talk people into buying 3794's and the 4294's for 2 weeks..lol Both would be so good for both applications..Id love my old setup but with a FP version of the 4294..would be EPIC! cheers darren

converter locked, not letting cool down really, 2 massive transcoolers, one has a thermo, total overkill..lol yeh its fast,it would be deceptively quick but even my mates vl that runs 10.3@133 doesn't feel quick to me either, thats linear to in its delivery my mates brother has a car that we use for a guidepost..R34 270rwkw on 17-18psi, 12.00@117mph. ill see how it goes against that, my mates 338rwkw stagea flogs it cheers darren

Never ever looked at cams, its all stock with the cambelt done in japan not long ago. im suprised it took no more boost, but theres a few things i can look at I'm not stressed about that, it was the power going or weirdo that had me stumped..weird. the worst part is it is a family car i can't really play with it will nilly, or take the driveshaft out every week to dyno it, thats the pain in the ass,,lol cheers darren

just dynoed my car on 98 and then on water/meth injection 600cc CM7 coolingmist jet, added 10 degrees of timing across whole map, same as E85, it would have took more, but that was enough for me 20 degrees on 17psi to 30degrees cheers darren

Dynoed my car tonight..it made 258rwkw on 17psi with 20 degrees of timing, thats all it would take without pinging, on a mainline dyno, The tuner told me the dyno reads 20rwkw lower than most DD at that level., thats on 98 octane. car won't make any power after 19psi dropping to 17psi..tried 21psi to 19psi and it nosed over and made less.. next pull made 220, then 190.... I am not sure whats going on, but the guys said every stagea they every had does it, as the auto gets hotter, let it cool and it goes back up. said only auto stageas do it..f**k knows i have never seen this before... Anyway hooked up water meth and straight away and over next 5 runs added 10 degrees of timing over whole map(17psi..30 degrees up top)....stopped there as i felt that was enough, ended up with a E85 timing map.. 268rwkw on 17psi.. 600cc of water/meth at 50/50 weight, car has 1.1 plug gap(7's) and 18V volt spark amplier(like hks twin power), no misses at all On the road, it spools quick, definitly no lag builds boost by 2500rpm, and pulls and pulls and pulls all the way to 7000rpm..but its very linear, gets stronger as you rev it, like a plane going down a runway..more like a large capacity motor.its deceptively fast, but not what im used to, im used to .a more brutal delivery i guess have to get wife to take me for a spin ill put up the timing maps in the next few days cheers darren

yep..thats right..i had same box in my r31 and yeh it shifted hard all the time..series 2 ftw..lol cheers darren
-
On a pissy 2 litre youd be right , on a Rb30 , the 3794 should walk away easy on less than 30psi i would have thought I'd love to try a FP4294 or 3794 on a sohc, just the normal garret 4294 was a very good thing with a auto and small 8.5 inch torque converter cheers darren
-
nope..smooth as in D , pull it across to manual shifting mode and it thumps hard then... cheers darren
-
if someone checks s.2 fitment that would be great.. cheers darren
-
wonder what the super 3794 thing is like/can be ordered with the standard 3540 style comp covers(obviously it fits...) that comp cover is a huge 4202 thing. wonder if it would choke it down much(i don't think it would) cheers darren

After having the car at a workshop for 8 business days and not tuned, and it getting put of , i went and drove it home on the nistune basemap. Cars now booked in next thursday arvo to get tuned by Matt from nistune on a mainline dyno(apparently the dyno of truth so the young kiddies tell me..lol) Going to tune it on 98 and wmi disconnected first and get the best out of it , then connect it up and go from there.. cheers darren

^^lol, i wondered what the 60ft was..plenty of meat left there with a converter... nice sleeper man..i tip my hat to you. I didn't look, does your car have sunroofs or leather/heated seats(was just wondering how much it weighed) was good to meet you cheers darren
