I'd nearly sell my mother for that car..lol cheers darren
-
I nearly bought Dekas , but I'm scared to use them, lot more complaints with idle quality with them, and its for a family car cheers darren
-
yep that what i am after in 3/4 length , but tuffcarparts i tried to get them of only had 2 atm in 700or 750cc(what ever they are), think they had a lot in 550cc though, to small for me cheers darren

I have a funny feeling its more a case of all the compressor/turbine combinations around that size are restricted by fuel octane at that power level. He always get to 320-330rwkw, just the curves look different. Boost vs timing vs fuel octane, or i could be talking out my arse... Stao should be able to answer that, Trent definitly could, i have asked before! maybe it is a restriction?, maybe its a good idea soon to buy a decent manifold, one you know makes power(not a ebay pos), something like a ETM or 6BOOST and see what effect that has on power, and maybe you can work backwards?.. Thats why i am interested what the kando's does on pump 98 , but trent power figures for them on 98 for a T67 was in that 330rwkw ballpark aswell, sorta makes the octane thing seem like it has merit to me. the most i have seen(with my own eyes, never really looked up on net) on 98 octane with IW and standard manifold was 340ish rwkw with a 3540 i think jammed in a OP6 on 24-25psi, and it had poncams aswell, don't know what a.82 would be worth at that level, but thats pushing it on 98..lol Interesting stuff all the less, fail or succeed, Stao's thread always makes for a interesting read, never know what he will come up with next! cheers darren

Artz If its a Neo injectors you need , does normal Rb25 injectors aswell , PJ of here hi-flows them for $350 ish, choice of 550cc or 700cc, just make sure the standard pintle caps aren't broken!, or you can't do it, or get EV14's. cheers darren

Do you actually sleep at night Stao, or do you have ideas for turbos floating threw you head all night keeping you up??..lol cheers darren
-
Little bit smaller i think he told me in p.m's cheers darren
-
certainly not, used in many 900- 1000hp Rb30's
-
like 7 blade T04S-60-1 comp wheels? ..lol, Stao had them working alright on Rb25's , cracked 300 + easy on 98 octane...... cheers darren
-
maybe you can..grab a 14mm spacer and find out..lol, it might go close, a 3540 wil fit with one cheers darren

yeh its works , depending on engines and if its doesn't surge like a mofo. Sometimes all it adds is lag, and it might just out power the smaller comp wheel right up the top of the power curve, whereas 90 percent of the curve is stronger with smaller comp wheel. That $200 hi-flow used to need a $800 boost controller to stop it breaking in half..lol it was quick, but never stable!.And the surge..oh the surge, it surged under 4000-4500rpm like crazy... I know because i took Boostd in his first ever turbo car and got him hooked in 1998..lol, I have to spoken to Stao a little bit to , he's tried it the other way aswell, when he has been forced to use tighter turbine housing. all interesting, but generally needs to be tested engine depend, the 3540/66 had been tested a fair bit, 6 boost was saying it doesn't make much more power on 4 litre ford motors as they run out of exhaust flow, As a guide on a decent breathing single cam Rb30, you would have to run over 30psi, to have a hope of beating the 3540 comp wheel(vs 66 conversion) curve anywhere. cheers darren

Looks awesome, what brand of rim are they? what size tyre and did you need coiovers to fit them at rear?, all he rims i have been looking at are 17,18 x9 +28 cheers darren
-
Everything they have is to small for a rotor, unless you buy something and then get a exhaust housing from somewhere else to suit a rotary requirements, eg a T3 1.06 housing for a 3582, or a 1.15 splitpulse housing for anything T04 based. The 3540/66 might be alright with splitpulse 1.00, but really its a lot of turbo, better of going a little smaller and bigger A/R on the exhaust. Probally want a 60 ish mm compressor and P trim rear on a 1.15 To4 splitpulse , but ausrotary probally your best bet for info. think a 3582 on a 1.06 T3 will do that with best response from my very hazy memory cheers darren

G3 similiar in what way to kando 35r to4r? cheers darren

Yeh unfortunately without any real testing back to back its just a guessing game........ cheers darren

woon was the king for a long time, for street type manual cars but he got beaten a long time go, SW is the manual king, auto wise theres faster.. cheers darren
-
what the deal with Rb30 bottom ends in stageas, does the standard intake hit the bonnet, or you need a Greddy or Freddy? cheers darren
-
Oh yeh forget to add a few weeks ago, Willal racing used to, and still does on there street gtr i think, run twin TD06 25G's on the os giken 3 litre motors, think they made'upwards of 650rwkw, the car went 8's at 160ish mph in the end, i remember the street car made 470rwkw on 20psi on bp ultimate 98 back in the day and ran high 9's at 144mph in street trim, i think its on E85 now with a lot more power street car

3540/66's have been built by everyone since the dawn of time, fastest vl has run 9.2 at 147mph in a full weight calais on 38psi with one , mid's 9's is typical Would be awesome for a cheap 3.0+ turbo, or 2 on a 5.0-6.0 V8.... They take a fair edge of spool with that big comp wheel aswell, its a fair bit of a mismatch. Be interesting to see how the twin entry housing went with a 6 boost cheers darren
-
turbos banned, that fan car was banned aswell, how radical was that! cheers darren

contact details for who?, my mate?, he works out of his garage at home afterhours, during the day he works for the biggest machine shop in adelaide so does all machine work there, and then brings it home for assembly, I can give you his details via p.m, but remembering its afterhours it takes a while and he usually has a big waiting list. Very good priced though as no overheads. Having said that, engine builders in a workshop usually take forever aswell..lol cheers darren
-
The hypergears look like they use the old school housing aswell, but its machined down till it opens up and the 6 bolt flange is welded on, could try that on a Kando if your ultra keen cheers darren
-
that was with a lot of problems though from memory ....not really sorted out, has been a while as i remember it was the only 98 octane tuneup, unless STATUS would be kind enough to post all the 98 octane dyno sheets he had one day, that would make the thread interesting cheers darren
-
pretty much..unless you drove them...no point comparing what one person says something feels like lol, it all relative, you go from 200-300 it feels fast, to someone with 400 it feels slow, and so on and so on...but you knew that..do you realise the difference E85 makes to area under the curve power wise, versus 98 octane?, not just peak? and your comparing... lol, not long ago we needed C16 or Q16 (roo)to get those results... Quit while you behind cheers darren
