  1. errr hope not, you would spend half your life, cleaning out a catch can, or redrilling your 500th restrictor as the other 499 didn't stop the oil pooling up in the head.. you wife will love the smell of burning oil in her nice family car..lol stock pump ftw, my mate doesn't use collars, he welds the crank and machines it down to fit tight over the pump gears..way better fit, way better quality after seeing how some of the big dollar collars are attached, but unless your limiter bashing you probally don't need even a collar. If it was me, i would rebuild it as a stocker(no forgies),but paying attention to clearances and machining/oiling systems it would be better than a stanadrd motor(if you get the right person) cheers darren
  2. you definitly want a builder with RB expertise..especailly seeing as how much problem you have had already. My mate builds and machinings all his motors(hes a machinist by trade), and has built lots of tuf Rb's....theres a few tricks machining the oil galleries and bottom end clearance wise to make them live. I have seen that many monkeys f**k them up its not funny..lol, especailly blocks bored with a torque plate and ended up with oval bores, used to happen alot 10+yrs ago when v8 machinists started building jap stuff, alloy blocks are worse, but seen big dollar Rb30's f**ked the same way cheers darren
  3. f**k knows how your comparing them, you must have some skills, theres not even a decent 98 octane dyno sheet in this thread, its all E85 results.... cheers darren
  4. Those weights are for NA versions, you forget the turbo gear.. its actually between 1294 (SL)and 1383kg(calais), then on top of that you add a intercooler and piping as they never even had that standard. cheers darren
  5. Try live axle vs IRS, and vl's weigh a lot more than 1100kg..lol, try nearly 1300kg for a basic sl, and the calais are heavier, R31's are a bit heavier again, but made better. fastest full street trim vl is around 9.7 at 142mph atm(e85), with stock suspension to i think, knowing what turbos on it, if it had the same turbo as it had on it before, when it ran 9.9 on 98 0ctane it will go much faster no doubt cheers darren
  6. Fit a standard Rb25 oil pump, f**k the N1's, unless you feel like overcomplicating it, or cause more trouble for yourself... cheers darren
  7. Its the IRS that the problem fo the RWD skylines(actually i think its more the the gearing most of the time , i think once Rb25's start making more than 300ish rwkw, they the gearing is to short with the low diff ratio, which multiplys the torque, and is not the best for drag radials a they struggle with regaining traction once spinning compared to a rag tyre, which absorbs more energy , reckon it would be better with something in the mid 3's ratio wise)) buy a vl turbo or a R31 and they will easily 60ft on the street constistently as well as a GTR/WRX etc on drag radials. cheers darren
  8. I thought new rules come in this year, you don't need a cage unless you run under 10.50 now, cheers darren
  9. maybe it didn't make 1000hp haha cheers darren
  10. Yeh but if it was manual it would make at least another 35-40rwkw, but dyno figures don't mean shit, they are all over the place at the best of times. cheers darren
  11. you don't need any of that stuff.., unless you want to run 8's haha cheers darren
  12. The only dyno i care about is black and 400m long ..it never lies! cheers darren
  13. my mates ls1 ute has a tune/exhaust/spring/ otr/ cam in the upper 230's at .50, it makes 270rwkw through a auto. other mate has a vx with a l98 conversion, with same stuff but a 237/242 cam it makes 330rwkw on a mainline with a manual. for the dollar spent compared to the old stuff they are great! cheers darren
  14. For that price the Jaycar coaxials will be the best!, and the cheapest...only $30-40 cheers darren
  15. Sounds like a pretty normal level of power for a walbro at 13.5 Volts to run out of flow to me cheers darren
  16. My definition of choke is when a turbine/exhaust housing is to small for a larger capacity motor and will make power drop of up top, SS2 would be to small, even 3076's are..anothe half a litre will drop the flow rate of the turbo aswell.. so the turbo will not make as much peak power either on a bigger motor cheers darren
  17. If i had no one to ask, i would guess the camtech 423A would be pretty good with your setup, wonder what STATUS uses? cheers darren
  18. I'd use a G4 on a Rb25/30, ss2 would still choke..lol
  19. T28 pattern HKS 2530, comes with hks 15psi actuator, done around 50km since it got the cartridge checked, cleaned, rebalanced and blades dressed by ATS. Been sitting in a box for 4 yrs, not needed anymore, might aswell sell it, made 230rwkw on 17-18 psi on stock SR20. $700 Apexi el boost gauge( the original style), not needed $100 And as a EOI i have a hypergear big prototype hiflow i might sell, comes with braided line, 14m spacer, Gt3540 .70 comp cover, .63 rear, internal gate, 20 psi actuator can, made 320rwkw on 23psi on pump 98 when stao tested it, will made 350ish on e85. I have never used it, it only got dynoed by hypergear to test it out. Complete bolt on except for making new intake pipe $1000 cheers darren
  20. Boost??, i know i did my head in last night and went through the whole thread, think one post you quoted 345rwkw on 21psi on 98 and 329 on 19psi edit page 39 Would it be to asking to much to post up some of those big power 98 (standard cam) graphs, to see the power under the curve? cheers darren
  21. from what i have been told, dumb assembly problems and sometimes the clearances are a bit ho hum , the actual parts used to make them are very good so your basically taking your chances whether you get a monday or a friday turbo, unless you spend up to $200 ish getting them all mickey mouse. apperently S@J who do subaru work here in adelaide have bought hundreds of them, so i was told. cheers darren
  22. How many 98 octane tunes with the T67 25G are in this thread..i can't remember is it just the 1 x r33 with converter, what pages are the dyno sheets on if theres others? cheers darren
  23. WTB: 3 inch decat pipe.... i don't want your dodgy smashed out cat, i want a 3 inch pipe with 2 , 3 inch flanges and thats it P.M me if you've got one to sell cheers darren
  24. Just fitted my head unit today, after reading it twice, getting a headache , i went and go the Aeropro loom Part Number APP0120 from supercheap, it was $15 ish $$. Made it easy, had it hooked up within 15min and aerial works fine on FM and AM. Don't need to read through the thread at all if you get one...lol. standard speakers are ok actually(my car came with no stereo), but i have some maximo 6 splits and alpine 2 ways for back doors coming next week cheers darren
  25. Your sure?, the 6765 is the same size as a T04Z, 67 front , p trim size turbonetics F1 rear wheel unless your talking about power/response wise
