With manual gearboxes.... Power under the curve drastically changes mph,not just the peak , with autos because the converter setup properly is spinning the motor in its sweet spot constantly its easier to use mph vs power. Its still a good marker regardless...many problems have been found at a dragstrip vs a dyno due to mph being off. Boostleaks are a big one. A car will run hard to 1/2 track and drop mph big time in the back half. cheers darren

Hows the R34 development hack going Stao?, You havn't dynoed a SS based version of the ATR 45 SAT on a rb25 for that yet have you, only the normal ATR45 SAT version? cheers darren

Yeh was fast for the day! I saw it make 240-250rwkw on many dynoes tilbrooks always read the highest back then.. That turbo woudnt flow anywhere near 300rwkw Was a dirty old t04e on it From memory it made maybe low 500s something on allens engine dyno cheers darren

Help-do Ethanol Content Sensors Read Methanol?
jet_r31 replied to sky30's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeh, steve had that, then we did wmi, and ended up with 2 degrees more timing on wmi, but same power as his ignition system was a joke and flatlined up top both setups did 30 psi and took 20-22 degrees of timing on 98 wmi and 98 +10 percent meth Ive used e85 and wi together aswell Im building another car atm. Will be wmi..but if can't get to 35psi ish on just pump 98..ill be doing the same as your planning...f**k e85..i want to drive it everywhere..not to one random servo 40 minutes away.. plenty of other people have played with it in more quantity when e85 coudnt be bought for a while ...I think 60 percent meth/40 percent 98 is close to e85. But you probally dont need that much octane.. how much wmi your spraying atm? what fuel to wmi percentage? cheers darren -

what are you planning?, water/meth inj and the 10 percent meth in the fuel allans trick on top of that ? cheers darren -
Then you only really need a cheapish h beam .. See the difference in price between what you need.... and what your asking in the thread title is about $900- 1000 just for the rods... cheers darren
-
Pretty much.. I assume that you want way over 1000hp at the crank....to even ask the question..so my assumption is that you don't need them if you have to ask... Ill put it to you that unless you done over 1000hp at the crank ..before ...that you will run into the same sort of probs that workshops that have done this have encountered..and that you stockpile blocks and practice nuking cheaper parts first because the rods and pistons , even cheap chinese shit wont be your problem... if your a chequebook racer, well just go sign the cheques, if you need to double check said workshops info , you need to find another workshop sorry if i offend you cheers darren
-
The real answer is..if you have to ask on a forum, you probally don;t need them...maybe a bit harsh..but true cheers darren
-
Carillos and manley turbo tuff are probally the strongest rod Pistons i have no idea.. Cheers Darren

Are they both results from s.a stao? Top one is definitly is and the bottom one looks like a graham west tune cheers Darren

So thread bump for the GTW's Does any one know if the bigger 900-950hp gtws actually have a stinky arse 1970s P trim rear, or is a new design? -
Kenne belle pump voltage boosters are popular in the u.s with the supra crowd Usually running weldon 2345a 's and massive singles on e85 Could switch them on or off via boost switch aswell Cheers Darren

Sweet..put 35psi in it now ..lol.. f**k of the plumb back crap...otherwise it will just cause you to wonder where your powers going at a later date when you turn it up.. Cheers Darren -
Via a output to switch it on only after revs are at say 4000rpm (or high enough not to bend a rod..)and Tps is at 100 percent Then switch it of at say 8psi and let physics do the rest I had a dyno of my mates rb30 with a 3540/t04z 1.06 with a 75 dry shot.. power up top was decent . Midrange was absolutely incredible Cheers Darren
