massive compressor wheel to turbine flow mismatch youll get massive lag from the turbine trying to drive that big comp wheel..then when it comes on, up top you will get power capped by massive turbine backpressure from to small a turbine wheel Area under the curve is the go, not a pretty number up top in the last 500rpm of powerband Its just robbing peter to pay paul and will never work, especially on a larger capacity motor.. the t04z wheel doesnt work with the 3540 turbine, although lots of people have done it...its shitsville city.. cheers darren

yeh try awd motorsports or something cheers darren

they make the l19 and ca625 in a 12mm rb26 size, so you just tap it out cheers darren

it wont work cheers darren

so you going to try fit a 79mm ish inducer and 80mm turbine into the t3 1.06 housing and .70 t04s comp cover(or factory .60?) i really have no idea, but i would have thought the money /market share would be in GTX3582 to 64-67mm inducer to4z sized bolt on stuff? Thats high 9 sec stuff already in a big falcon if you did that, you would also cater to the Rb30 sohc and 3.0l skyline crowd with just a exhaust housing change and kill 2birds with one stone cheers darren

whats your brief with the xr6 turbos Stao? response monsters or are you going to make some mid frame t3 flanged 67 ish mm inducer t04z sized turbos aswell? cheers darren
-
copper head gasket then? Awesome project cheers darren

The xr6 turbo venture will be interesting, where are you going to post results to that? will suit performance rb30 stuff better than some stuff you sell atm which is rb25 based and chokes on rb30s cheers darren

6mm will do sweet f**kall... cheers darren -
not real smart, the camshafts should always be chosen when the turbos chosen, unless your conservative, which you havnt been.. the motor is way over cammed for anything smaller than a gt45 with a big hotside, your just costing yourself response for no reason at all.. cheers darren

theres a few around, one kit in qld(ONO 747 vl runs one)pics on this forum somewhere, one in vic(sticks sell them) and one in s.a just finished, (pro gtr motorsport) plus ross, theres probally , no doubt theres others i don't know about cheers darren

t04z-shit ebay coolers-fine for most applications, just get a 100mm one at least cheers darren -
If it was me id do 260 type b poncams/ neo head/Precision 6466 T4 /e85, comp in the low 9's the only trans that won't explode would be a glide or a Th400. thats a combo id sell to a customer wanting the best of both worlds Id prefer a neo head over a 26 head as it would come up quicker on a torque converter due to inlet manifold design and i bet it would make more power under the curve making it a better street proposition its a better street deal all round Need to run into the 8s to even start to justify a 26 head cheers darren

well they won't..because its a radial....only bias plys/slicks save driveshafts, radials are for auto cars.. cheers darren

if you looking at the 7175, id be relooking at the 6870 for sure.. cheers darren
-
interesting that it did the same as the o.g 6766 tests..the .81 outperformed the .96 again cheers darren

^^ I read on there facebook page that it made the same power on same boost as a t67 high mount ex gate setup on e85 they did not long ago cheers darren

lot of duration for just a 3540 cheers darren

maybe look at the drag turbo v8 guys in the states aswell big cams having big overlap..i thought the way to stop this was to increase the lobe separation angle of the camshaft as you run more duration, you widen the separation to combat this, also makes it idle smoother and increases the midrange. eg 240 [email protected] 114 lsa 250 duration @.50 115 lsa 260 [email protected] 116 lsa or similiar probally doesn't kill top end like you think it would either as most cars are turbine/housing limited anyway once on kill interesting subject, i know enough to get me in trouble from just playing around with stuff, but nothing in the whole realm of it at least australian suppliers have picked up there game in the last 15yrs, with regards to a "turbo' cam most older people will remember when using a stock cam was the go and there was a myth not to use a bigger cam in a turbo motor. Now looking back you can see how the myth started, cars would have been out of turbo flow and hotside limited so a bigger cam woudn't help, and most turbo cams had bad lsa's.. having said that, its easy to overcam most turbo motors, my most fun to drive setups have always had small camshafts to fatten midrange and bring it on boost quick, but lots of turbine flow so you can run heaps of boost and it still makes shitloads of grunt with not a lot of backpressure, they live longer to as they don;t rev as hard. cheers darren
