Who Has Jjr Direct Ignition Coilpacks?
Proximity Motorsport replied to dori34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
mate of mine has some in his r32 with a hks 3037 on it. standard coils were breaking down so upgraded to JJR, and they work perfect. I have a set in my rb25, yet to be tested though. -
Hey, I have a RB25 in r32. The car came with a Top feed BMI Fuel rail and GTR Injectors. I got some rb25 Nismo injectors off a mate and they are side feed RB25 ones. I have tried to search but to no luck, just wondering if there is any side feed aftermarket rails out there? thanks

Hey, I found that my rear knock sensor in my RB25 is snapped. I sourced one off a mate and its off a rb25 too. But the numbers arent the same. Original Sensor - Jecs Japan A53 - 000 013 3920 New sensor - (wierd jap symbol) Japan A53 - 000 013 6116 Just wondering if they are both the same, or if the new one wont be compatible.. thanks

Hey, I have a R32gtst with an rb25det in it. Just put on a new greddy plenum and it doesnt clear the larger r32 master cylinder for clutch, so i replaced it with a rb25 one, as they are about 40mm shorter. Now it fits, and i couldnt get the master to bleed properly.. figured out that the problem was.. the slave cylinder push rod was too short. So i cut down a screw driver and ground it to the right shape and replaced it with a longer rod. Now im getting pedal feel. Now the question is... Do the rb25 slave cylinders require less fluid to push the rod out, or do they have longer rods?? Im not sure if the gearbox has a rb25 or rb20 slave on it.. but apparently its a rb25 dog box. Tell you truth i wouldnt know as ive never drivin the car since owning it. Any tips would be great. Im thinking of buying a rb25 slave from nismo? Im assuming the master being smaller, it must need less fluid for a 25 slave to be operated, and the small 25 master isnt creating enough pressure to operate the large 20 slave. hope the makes sence. thanks

Pulled Off Rocker Covers
Proximity Motorsport replied to Proximity Motorsport's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
no im not a idiot. I used a damp cloth and it stuck to that. You can critisise me all you like but you obviously werent here to see how i did it, and you did not see how the rust came off. There is definately no foreign bits in the motor -
Stock Airbox + Stock Intake Pipe
Proximity Motorsport replied to 08r3308's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
what car and motor are you talking about here? as for the intake pipe, as you mentioned, just cut it and clamp some bits of stainless 3" inside it. And the airbox.. maybe keep the top there, but cut a hole in the side and bottom and try stick a pod inside it and have a pipe from underneath feeding cold air straight in??? -
Pulled Off Rocker Covers
Proximity Motorsport replied to Proximity Motorsport's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
for those of you who were interested to see how i went... i used a scourer, one of those green plastic wool pads for scrubbing dishes in the kitchen, and some penetrene and within 10 minutes had them clean. Then i poured some engine oil over the tops of them. -
Pulled Off Rocker Covers

Okay just spoke to a reputable shop down south in brisbane and they have told me the same thing as my tuner and this young man have. Gotta try clean them, and if its got any pitting at all, throw away, as the case hardening will be affected. cheers -
another dodgy idea... measure the hole size in the manifold and get a metric tap and tap it out to suit a bigger stud, and just cut the new stud in half and screw it into the manifold and attatch a nut so it looks as if its there... if they ask just say it f**ked the head so u drilled it out larger and put a bigger size thread into it. But i highly recommend spending 100-200 dollars and get someone to do it for u. Surely you know someones mates mate who will do it for a carton or something? Do it once, do it properly

Pulled Off Rocker Covers
Proximity Motorsport replied to Proximity Motorsport's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
just rang my local tuner and he said to pull them out, and give them a hit on wire wheel buff or with some 800 grit wet n dry. Anyone have any objections to this? -
Pulled Off Rocker Covers

can i get a confirmation on that by some more people?? Is that because the rough surface will cause premature wear on the valves and possibly cams?
