Aac Valve Is Missing From My Car
Proximity Motorsport replied to Proximity Motorsport's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
thanks alot for the help guys, that sorts me out, My car never had one when i got it so i wont bother trying to hook one up, when i get it running i just hope she runs alrite, thats alot... if i have trouble with the A/C or the P/S stalling me ill just bump the revs on idle to 1000rpm or something. Thanks alot for the help, Happy new years ps...just for the record my old r32 had map sensors power fc djetro and it needed the aac valve, but when it was fully open was still not getting enough air so i left it on, but i also opened the throttle a little. cheers -
Aac Valve Is Missing From My Car
Proximity Motorsport replied to Proximity Motorsport's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
you mean so the throttle only closes 98% or something.... i heard this can be bad when you back off, the revs dont drop quick enough?? true or false anyone? -
Hey, I just purchased a R32 with RB25 in it. It has a Microtech ecu. Now the standard plenum was removed from car when i bought it, and a greddy copy was dummy fitted. After inspection, the standard plenum has a plate over where the AAC valve went, and its been sealed, and the new plenum, which owner said was purchased second hand, has had the hole welded up, and im confused as i dont know how the car will idle? I dont know a single thing about microtechs..but to me i would think you will need air somehow to make it idle.. Any Ideas? Anyone know of removing aac valve how to keep car running??? Problem is i havent started car yet cause its all in bits, and ive never heard it running

Hey, I have a RB25DET in my R32 GTS-T and its got a greddy copy plenum on it and it wont clear the clutch master, so i have put an r33 one in. Its brand new from nissan. I have bolted it to firewall and its connected the fork to the clutch pedal. I have filled it up with fluid and cracked the bleeder down the bottom and nothing came out, so i tried to take the bleeder right out and no good. So i cracked top bleeder and nothing... so i took the hydraulic hard hose off and still nothing, i looked inside it and nothing blocking it!!! So i put some vacuume line in and cracked top bleeder, and air is going from bottom through to bleeder... now im completely stumped as to why no fluid will go through the bottom hyd lines!! any help is greatly appreciated! thanks

Battery
Proximity Motorsport replied to Proximity Motorsport's topic in General Automotive Discussion
just went to battery pro and got the odyssey one. He tested it and its rated at 265cca but it cranks at 450cca. thanks anyways -
hey, Im after a new battery and it cant be much bigger then the odyssey PC625 which measures L170xW99xH175 This battery is making 265CCA and the shops in town are telling me its a motorbike battery and wont run a car. My brother has an odyssey in his car and its slightly smaller than the one im lookin at. His car s14a does have slight cranking issues, just cranks a few times befor she starts, but it has never let him down. Just wondering how many CCA a car battery should have. I dont have subs or anything. Just a r32 rb25 and small speakers

wow... i say that strut brace did its job to an extent, i bet it held it together a little bit. I purchased a r33 s2 with catback and power fc with stereo dvd and wheels... paid $4k and sold it all for 10k in parts and kept the wheels and stereo for my car XD (it wasnt my car, nor did i crash it, i baught it off insurance though)

Hey, I just purchased an r32 with an rb25 and greddy copy plenum is on it. Just wondering where i can get a custom throttle cable made. I have looked all over net and only find pre made ones. I heard through work mates a place in Melbourne makes them. I cant find them. Any pics on how you got by with a standard one, or where to get a custom one would be great thanks

Hey, Just wondering what size external gate I will need. I currently have a RB20DET. I am buying a 6boost high mount external gate manifold, and am going to run a 3076 with 0.82 rear housing. The rb20det is just a motor for now, i am going to start to build a rb30det. but in the mean time i want some more power on the 20 and since all these mods are transferable ill do them to the 20 just for shits and giggles. I will probably run 16-18psi on the rb20, and around 18-22psi on the rb30. I just wanna know what size wastegate i will need. I have been told anywhere from 38mm-50mm. Also what is the adjustment range, like if i have a 18psi spring can i run anywhere from 16 to 22? I dont get how they work and i have googled and cant find any info
