ps.... About renting a car.. do you need a international lisence?? I have found GTR35 for rental for $350AUD a day.. probably add insurance on top... but i hear that they wont rent a car like that to a overseas tourist...? EDIT>>>> ANY idea if i get caught in japan unlisenced.. what would the consequence be??

Hey, yes i know that there is another thread currently running for japan. But im just wondering if anyone knows of any car events in november between 3rd-13th. I have searched and found that we are missing D1 by about 2 weeks Also is the HKS factory like a shop, can ya walk around and see things be made? thanks

after having a look around i see greenline.jp have the baffles etc.. quite expensive for what they are but i guess they are good insurance. I will probably go for the tomei one cause its the cheapest there coming in at $200. There is alot of choice, but they go up to $600!!!

ok nice, so do u just put a piece of angle line in there?? what size do you usually use and thickness?? eg 25x25x3mm?? Also how do u weld the sump, with a tig??

also will the sump clear the standard sway bars? How thick are yours that you run?? Is it not possible to fit any larger than standard sway bars with rb26 sump??

oh thanks heeps, where abouts are the oil return holes?? Are you talking about the holes in the baffle in that pic... or are they not pictured?? Also what size do you drill them out too... and as for the alloy bits you weld in... is it just the 3 holes i can see on the side? That shouldnt be a problem as ima fitter and turner, i have access to all that stuff. Have you got any pics of modded baffles you use?? thanks heeps

Hey, Some mates and I are going to be carrying out a engine conversion on a s13 silvia very soon... putting a rb26 into it. And just wondering what to do about the front sump. I was going to fab a plate to cover up the transfer case on gearbox. I havent had a look under the GTR yet to see what the front sump is like but from what i gather we will need to remove the diff etc... or want to anyways to save weight... so there will be a hole in the sump?? How do people get around this... does a rb25 sump fit it? or just weld the hole shut cheers

the controllers can be had for as little as $250!!!! Very good investment for any gtr owner.

genuine or copy?? I assume your talking about fiberglass copys. Pretty much worth as good as they are. There is cheap ones going for $250 a pair, and good ones going for $600 a pair. Note, im not talking about "gtr" gaurds, but just generally wide body rear gaurds

for those of you who are saying should the fuel filter be changed at the 100k service.... well i hope you change it atleast every 20k. some other things to consider... you've tried the pads... but what about the rotors?? Just take it to a brake service center. They will probably do a free inspection for you

a mate got one for his car from viva garage and its fitment was shocking. had up to 30mm gap in areas, the skirts where too long too

car now has 90,000km on it. Just serviced, has 4 brand new 235/40/18 Nankang tyres all round. they have done 600km

^^^ oh shit yeah for the 10,000km gtr. Would love to see it... or own it.. I bet the veyron is just there to make them look like oh yeah righto they can realy get anything... not doubting them that they couldnt get it, but i dont think they would actually expect to sell it
