hey just wondering if anyone knows what these are... They are in my 1989 R32 GTS-T four door. It did have an air purifier on the rear parcel shelf but i have removed it cause it was broken/couldnt figure it out. And im not sure if they are to do with that.. i doubt it though. They have ALOT of wires going into it... I want to fit a sub box standing up and it just doesnt clear these 2 boxes... any idea what they are for...

HSD Type R........$1450 new and they are the uprated ones over the Type S for i think $1200. Maybe get them cheaper else where. Ive had super streets on my car befor (both S13 silvias.) and i was not too happy with them, they did not go low at all and were kinda soft. My brother bought new ones and had the revalved and Fulcrum made custom springs so it could go lower, has plenty of travel and can sit the car on the floor if want to. I currently have Tein HA's in my r32 and i am not happy with them either, they dont go lower enough, i am still above legal hieght and they are as low as they will go. I know HSDs go alot lower, and personally i belive they would be stronger than teins as they have a larger diameter rod too. Also instead of just spring seat adjustment they have shock hieght adjustment

Hey, Just wondering if anyone has ever had a custom made fuel tank to replace the standard one in an r32 skyline. Id rather not replace with standard due to costs of freight etc to central qld.. So any drawings made up or any recommended places up north...

Hey, Has anyone ever had troubles with their fuel hose swelling up and braking apart.. I talked to my mech and he reckons he only ever uses factory fuel hose cause all aftermarket stuff swells up within hours... and he is right, i tried some fuel hose from a hydraulics shop that said it can be submerged in fuel no problems.. and it swelled up and broke apart within 2 hours... I am wondering about the blue speedflow hose... might be some better quality, but none of that cheap black stuff works either.. its only made to hold fuel on the inside... What can i do?? ( this is in relation to inside the tank ) cheers

Proximity Motorsport replied to paulr33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
hey mate, Just wondering with rb20det running a rb26 computer, have you ever had troubles with the knock sensor?? I have rang nissan and a rb20 and rb26 knock sensor are differnt, but they cant tell me whether they are phsyically different or diferent insides? My car is knocking real bad, but its real random, does it sometimes but not others.. i can hold it on limiter and knock to 20, then other times i will rev to 5k and it will knock 70?? any ideas. -
hey, Was thinking about cutting off cannon and putting on twin 2.5" pipes out back of r32. (this is not for road use) Atm car has no mufflers apart from a cannon, and its just 3" turboback. Has anyone ever heard a rb20 with no mufflers. I know if you just unbolt cannon sounds like a sack of shit.. will it sound any better with the extra lengh in pipe?? Has anyone got a clip? I searched youtube but no luck cheers

Proximity Motorsport replied to Marko R1's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i have one of those greddy ones, autobahn sold it for $90 to me. A mate got one from autobahn down south and he paid $50 on sale!!!! go hit them up for their BEST PRICE if you want a greddy one... problem is no baffles inside and cant open it, i am yet to install mine, gotta take it to work and drill a hole and weld a plug at bottom to put some baffles in. -
hahah wtf standard ecu... Maybe try reset it. Turn car off, disconnect battery, pump brake pedal 5 times, then hold it for 5 seocnds, then pump a few times, reconnect battery and take it for a drive

Snapped Axle, Busted Fuel Tank
Proximity Motorsport replied to Proximity Motorsport's topic in General Automotive Discussion
yeah thats what im worried about. I have read on it befor there is ways around it... maybe will tank with water while welding... but u would have to make sure u cant get ur welds wet etc.. i dont know. there has to be a way. I am a fitter and turner but i have never had experience in welding tanks. Might need alot of ventilation too!! -
Well tonight i was driving home and it was 1am and i was going around a roundabout, and i might just add my r32 gtst has a mini spool, and there was noone around so i dropped second and it went BANG, and nothing... so i drove about 20m and realised car is pullin to one side. So i pulled over and as i came to a stop i saw a sheared bolt with a nut on the end roll past me... And i looked behind me and i had already lost alot of fuel, so i shut off the car instantly! Then look under car and found my rear right axle loose, i dont know if its snapped at this stage as it was dark, but i hoping its just the bolts. But anyhow the axle cut through my fuel tank.. Has anyone ever welded there fuel tank befor? Is it necassary to pressure test etc.. What kind of process did u go through. Any input welcome, apart from the your an idiot deserve it. Car has been running minispool for well over 4 years that i know of.. and this is first problem cheers

Fuel Pump Resistor Pack
Proximity Motorsport replied to Proximity Motorsport's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
ahh i dont have a pic, but it looks just like the GTR injector resistor pack and it sits next to the power steering resivour. I know non turbo r32 rb20de does not have them...
