  1. GCG have the gaskets... call them..not cheap though.. i think around the $50 mark for a dump gasket... you can use ur old one with some glue... or ifyour flanges are real smoothe and rust free just use exhuast seals and no gasket...
  2. its not your syncros in gearbox is it?? try push in your clutch when rolling and see what happens...
  3. ^^ yeah but if the helicoil is installed correctly with the super tight heat resist loctite etc.. it will make it stroger than the original thread, however if not done properly helicoils can lead to a great big f**kup
  4. wrx hoon is on the money, use a file and file it flat... but befor i tried that i would use a pipe wrench (stillsons)... just a small pair like a 8" pair will set you back around $20 MAX and they are handy as for stripped nuts, basically the harder you pull the more the teeth bite the nut
  5. your not thinking what im thinking your thinking are you!! If your talking about slapping a cannon onto the stock system, stop and slap yourself in the face. Catback exhuasts are only around $300 from various places on the net, get a 3" catback and pay an exhuast shop $40 to fit it if you cant do it yourself. Will notice power gains and better note and look better.
  6. i dont understand... why dont u cut the plug off the old loom and solder to the new loom... Simple as that... as for which is neutral or reverse... throw a multi meter into the plug and check car in neutral and reverese and it should tell u which is which.
  7. yeah my worksshop charges around $400 to do clutch... Timing belt is pretty timely to do like others have said... might even consider new water pump at the same time cause i think its all gotta come off
  8. traders on the forums offer KAAZ 1.5way and 2way lsds for around $1050 delivered... maybe cheaper. And basically get a new housing from a wrecker, or if you know people in the industry ask someone to weld the hole shut... not like there is much pressure inside there.
  9. is it auto or manual... As far as I am aware GTS4 run the same manual gearbox as a GTR. I would assume your talking about auto box though??
  10. Hey, im running a PFC computer and putting in a 040 fuel pump this wkend and doing the relay trick so that the pump runs off 13.8volts and making the pump ground on chassis... does this meen that the fuelpump resistor is no longer needed?? can i remove it from the enine bay and just leave the wires ther and tape them out of the road?? cheers
  11. try your standard coilpacks. My brother bought some splitfire coils for his s14a and they f**ked up in 2000km
  12. Some pics up, sorry will try and get pics of the kit off the car but havent had time to go around to other house to get pics. Price drop to $480
  13. thats a darn expensive set of rims!!!
  14. bump bump. Offers guys negotiable on some items
  15. I dont know about your alarm, maybe it has backup power and when you reset ecu it will not erase power. To reset the ECU on r32 you disconnct battery, pump brake pedal a few times and then hold the brake on... then a few more pumps, then reconnect your battery. Check the forums though, there will be a how to thread. For the spark plugs dont buy irridium ones. If you goto autobahn and tell them you have a non turbo rb25det and you want normal $2 plugs (NGK) you will get them, but if you tell them its a turbo they will sell you the $25 plugs which arent any better, they just last longer, but truth be said the cheap ones do a better job. Make sure you buy them already gapped to 0.8mm or get some feeler gauges and carefully gap them yourself. Coilpack can be had for $485 brand new for 6 splitfire ones, they are a very well known brand. Or you could go with justjaps new range of JJR coils for $400... but persoanlly i just bought new coilpacks and went splitfires.. pay the $85 and get a product you know is tested and proven (no offence to JJR but its a new product, id rather let others test first) For the parkers, check that they are actually there for a start too. And did the car come with a road worthy from the dealer... if it did then go back to them and tell them to fix the damm problem cause thats a dodgy roadworthy. cheers mate, welcome to SAU
  16. mate has IOUFN on his monaro.... I owe you f*kin nothing have seen 2 people on boost?? maybe and theres were hsvsuk and wrxsuk...........think they are both mates haha
  17. no they are not pov spec silvia seats they are early series r32 seats. I have seen several 32s with these seats. Nice car mate
  18. well other than helicoils if you dont want to rip it off and you start to be loosing compression through the thread, try out some thread sealants. Loctite make a liquid thread tape.... not sure what temps it can handle but i used it in my plenum etc.. I think its in the 500 series of loctites, might be worth checking out. Personally though id go get advice from a mech
  19. f**k yeah thats awesome. Should try out a cheap ebay manifold once you think its at the limits and then see what increases you can make, if any. Pick up manifold for $200 these days
  20. the answer is B. If you have a spare it must be road worthy but if you dnt, you dont need one. Cause if u dont have a spare well bad luck u sit there but you wont be putting an unroadworthy spare and driving on a unroadyworthy tyre therefor a defective vehicle.
  21. Hey, sorry to be a pain in the ass but... ^^
