  1. thanks lad i think its the H3C.... I searched but couldnt find out.. somewhere ive seen a how to convert to H4 so you have brighter foglights... might have to do that cause i dont know if can get H3C HIDs... Cheers mate... goes to show how helpful autobahn are.
  2. Hey, Just wondering what kind of bulb is in a r32 gtst headlight for the foggies. I took a blown bulb to autobahn and they did not know what could replace it, saying they never seen the bulb. They rang Phillips and they didnt know and none of their books had it. Was thinking of getting HIDs for the foggies... can anyone tell me what bulb style it is (eg. H1, H3)
  3. jus spoke to mechanic today nd he said to check if injectors r running. I dnt really know what im looking for but i geuss ill put a pices of steel rod against injector and use it as a stethascope (sp) and listen for a little tick. If number 2 had a dull sound it obviously isnt wrking correctly. But he said it still might tick but fuel just might not be getting through. Ill check this sometime tomoro or sunday and post up. cheers
  4. ok... so still having troubles really in need of help. Sum it up... cylindr 2 is not firing still. I know this cause when i unplug cyl 2 coilpack look it stays same (running bad) then any others makes it worse. Remedies i have tried to fix it but to no avail.. Brand new Colder NGK Spark Plugs Brand new SplitFire coilpacks Igniter off a working skyling Coilpack loom Compression tested to 150psi STILL NO GOOD!!!! What else can it be!! Im in dieing need. Please help
  5. i just purchased myself a set of SplitFires at $480 from sliding performance for my rb20det... and i also bought some for my brothers s14a sr20det. Id rather pay the extra $80 to have the thought in the back of my head that they are proven parts. However a mate just put in JJR coils in his r32 and he said they are awesome. Tried to make me buy some but I like to stick to what i know..
  6. seems this thread has gone to the shit. I dont know too much on fuel systems but dude if i was you i would look around on carsales and stuff and find other high hp cars and see what they are using. Or even better ring up a few companys that sell fuel pump etc..
  7. i changed the plugs thinking they may be at fault. The coilpack is sparking but some one PM me and said its easier for coilpack to spark to atmosphere than it is when its inside engine.. As for the loom.... i have llooked but not many wires are uncovered... i will try a mates loom and see how it goes.. also a question... i had the coilpack plugged into loom but not on sparkplug... turned the car on and sparks were coming from underneath where i expected at bottom of stem... but also at the top... is this not right?? Or is it meant to spark there too. Im guessing its not. Ive been told to put silicone on my coilpacks to increase their performance but never understood what they meant... im thinking maybe put silicome at the top to stop loose sparks?? thanks
  8. i just went out and check my doors (32 4 door) There is a little plug underneath the handle that you clip out and there is a screw behind that, then there is 3 along the very bottom of the door... and i can't remember but i think if u pop out the power window switch there is a screw in there too, then pop out the surround around the handle to open the door on inside .. it just pulls out... then pull on the trim from bottom first.. it will come out and u will sorta have to lift it off cause it clips over the door at the top. Both my front windows rattle but only at certain heights... If you figure it out. Let me know what the rattle is.. it drivers me crazy
  9. Hey all, I got a r32 gtst-t RB20DET and a few weeksago it was running on 5 cylinders. I unplugged coilpacks one by one and found cylinder 2 was no go. I pulled out the sparkplug and coilpack and cleaned them, put them back in and it was good. Its just happened again. Yesterday i change oil filter and oil. Then regapped plugs from 1mm to 0.8mm (with feeler gauges) Then started car and it was running on 5 cylinders. Checked them and it was cylinder 2 again. So i bought new plugs and put them in and still same thing. Then i pulled the coilpack off sparkplug and left it connected, started the car and it was definately working as electricity was coming out. Still no good.... so i compression tested motor and it has 150psi across all cylinders. What could be happening?? Im thinking maybe the igniter?? I bought splitfire coilpacks.. on their way.. but im geussing they dont have a new igniter. Are there any cheap aftermarket igniters? Are r33 and r32 igniters the same? Or is it definately not the igniter///? cheers
  10. Hey, Just wondering if there is any gauge pillar holders to hold 2 or 3 gauges on top of the dash on the left side. Ive seen universal ones but i want a good fitting one. Also is 4 door r32 a pillar different to 2 door? Im guessing yess cause all a pilar pods ive seen say 2 door only. I Just wanted a single gauge one.. is there any of them that fit really well. Last thing i want to buy is something cheap that won;t fit. thanks
  11. dont use a bigger throttle body on a forced induction car. Only thing you will get with a bigger throttle is the sensation of more power. Your standard rb20 throttle body is good enough to flow huge amounts of cfm on a turbo car. Your not sucking.. your focing so bigger wont do much at all. Id stick to standard cause of reliabilty EDIT: I was speaking to plazmaman and they said they have seen drag cars with 1000kw+ with standard throttle bodys... the bloke talked to me out of buying one
  12. see thats what im trying to figure out thinking maybe fuel pump is f**ked.. i wanna have evrything in befor i fork out for a tune.. maybe even coilpacks have shit themselfes.... i was just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them.. cause kinda seems like something is loose as in around corners its not very happy. As i said i have a d-jetro fc on its way its just there is an 8week wait from japan and nengun just sent an email saying there has been an extra unexpected delay
  13. Hey, I have a R32 GTS-T RB20DET and the mods its always had is... High Flow GCG Turbo running 10psi Custom Made 3" SS Mandrel Turboback Exhuast Walbro 500hp pump (installed 2005..... time to retire?) Fuel Pressure Regulator I had it dyno'd and it made 150rwkw and was told its lean in high revs. Recently i installed Plazmaman Forward Facing Plenum Plazmaman 2.5" Piping Kit 600x300x75mm Hybrid Intercooler Custom Made Solid G/box mount Cusco Oil Catch Can with appropiate Oil breathers Still Running 10psi After i did this work i reset the ECU while car was warm and then started it up and revved it right out in each gear straight away (told to do so) Now when i put my foot down in first gear it sounds like limiter at any revs over 4000rpm and just doesnt pull hard. Then all other gears are fine to flog right out to limiter... unless i am going around a corner, mainly left turns. If going around a left hand corner in second and touch accelerator slightly harder than normal at only around 2500rpm it stutters and doesn't go anywere. This was with a full tank of fuel too Im just wondering what this could be... Boost doesnt start till 3000rpm and its on full at around 4500rpm. Engine has 150,150,150,145,145,140psi compression, brand new NGK normal spark plugs, serviced with new oil and oil filter and fuel filter 4000km ago. I'm thinking maybe fuel pump is getting its age on?? How long would it usually last? I have a APEXI Power FC D-Jetro for an rb26dett on its way and i got a field one touch connecter that a mate is modifying so that this ecu suits my car. I also have gtr injectors and am going to get rid of the fuel pressure regulator. Also have custom made 3"-4" ss intake made to delete airflow sensor If you have any ideas please let me know, at first i thought maybe fuel cut in first gear but now recently its doing it at low revs around corners. thanks in advance
  14. yeah just call an engineering place. Any nut and bolt fasteners should have them if they are reliable. Dont need a hks one. A circlip is a circlip
  15. Hey, I got some spare rocker covers off a mate so i can polish them and fit speedflow fittings and ive got them half way polished. just need a final going over. Just wondering what way to go about putting on speedflow fittings... Do i completly cut off the old hose connection flush with the cover and tig weld on a speedflow piece?? please let me know thanks
  16. pull off cooler piping. If there is oil in there...heavy oil, chances are you have blown turbo..
  17. www.nengun.com I got my apexi one off nengun. They are quite good. Factor in a few hundred install. Had to remove my whole exhuast (one piece dump to cannon), cut in half, take a 150mm piece out. Weld on flanges to the exhuast and then flanges to the evc and then bolt back in. I was hoping quiter on idle but make no difference. But if u tap accelerator with it shut it sounds like a camry. I have straight through 3" with just a cannon, and it gets very quiet when closed (rb20det with highflow)

  20. Hey, I am in the process of purchasing a gtr power fc d-jetro for my r32 gts-t rb20det. I have already ordered the conversion parts... now just wondering. For the map sensor(s) the gtr fc has 2. Do i just use one?? Also where does the sensor go. Everywhere i search it sais throttle body 3 and 4. Please do not tell me its the runners 3 and 4 cause i just had plenum off!!! Also do i need any nipples or anything welded onto my intake pipe (being fabricated as we speek from 2"-4" stainless. Or any nipples on my cold side cooler pipe right befor throttle body. Any information or pics would be great. Not much on google cheers
  21. my rb20det had gcg highflow turbo, 3" turbo back, HKS Mushroom pod, and no induction noise. I just put on Front mount, hks ssqv and a plazmaman forward facing plenum, and now even on idle u can hear the bastard sucking air in from outside car with bonnet shut. ATM getting a 4" intake pipe from stainless... should sound sick mate.
