  1. Hey Just wondering at what kind of power level do rb20det injectors max out. Also what is a cheap upgrade alternative to new sard ones or something.
  2. haha 5 degrees is a little too hardcore lol. Im not saying i want less camber.. im just asking.. whats the best balance?? u think as much castor as i can have and then as much camber??
  3. exactly why i got it. I got all the stickers and O ring and C clip but i did not get a flange or adjustment screw on back ... thats why im worried.. the screw
  4. depends how you drive on the street will depend on tyre wear. I cant comment only havnig installe for 200km so far. But my brother s14a has 2.5 derees neg camber, drives like a nut and his outside is wearing.. indicating the need of more camber till it wears even
  5. yeah the new ones dont, hence why i purchased the old style. I dont have the adjustnment on the back and starting to wonder if genuine. Also the pic on ebay has HKS SQV writtin on the side.. does yours?? Cause mine only has hks on top
  6. not the point, the front still isnt sticky enough for my liking. Just for info... this is a r32 gtst four door rb20det Running Toyo Proxie4s with cusco castor rods and whiteline camber adjustment bush kit
  7. coilovers can only adjust camber on macpherson style struts. Skylines however do not have this style. Only silvias and the likes do. You will need camber arms. I just purchased camber kit and got half a degree more camber than stock.. not a great deal. Next time ill go for full adjustablke justjap arms. they go to 4 degrees
  8. do u know where? ^^ http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...N:IT&ih=003 thats the link.. if it works
  9. Hey, I just bought a HKS SSQV BOV off ebay from CJ Motors. It got here and everything looks genuine but there is no adjustnbment screw on the back like most of them have... fake or not?? Its series 1
  10. Hey, I just put in new castor rods (cusco) and front whiteline camber bushes. Befor i got alignment i had 1.6 degrees negative camber and 6.1 degress castor. After i have 2.2 degrees negative camber and 5.9 degrees castor. Not happy so they are doing it again for me this friday. Question is.. castor effects camber right... Now whiteline site sais try castor befor camber... Now if negative camber reduces understeer and increasing castor makes more positive camber... how is more castor going to help... I take it castor makes wheel base further apart so therefore better turn in.. but whats a good median... I dont care about tyre wear.. They said arm dont have enough adjustment for more than 6 degress castor without stuffing camber.. also i have adjustable rear control arms and noone will adjust my track so it is back to standard... is there a thread or easy way to adjust with a tap measure or something? I live in mackay... 1000km north brisbane
  11. my brother has an older model one and he swears its leaking.. said it drops boost badly between gears and sounds slightly different to when he got it... meh... might just get a new one. Any recommendations on cheap places to buy. Ebay has them for roughyl $300 delivred from america... they also have the $40 "genuine" ones... but whos to say the $300 one is a fake too. Not keen on ebay
  12. as alot of people will tell u its wank factor. Personally i like some bovs... i hate the ones that go PPSSHHHHHH but i like whistles. Will it help your performance? It may or may not keep boost levels up during gear changes, alot of people debate so i dont know the real answer. Yes you could do it yourself. alot of HOW TO's on the net and its a very simple task
  13. take it to nissan. thay should have one of those error reading things they hook up and it reads your errors
  14. Hey, Im buying a Plazmaman Plenum and cooler piping kit so will have to get rid of standard bov. Was thinking HKS SSQV cause they dont go SSSHHHHHHH. Dont go and tell me i dont need a bov and im a make out cause i want to replace my standard one. Now just a question. Someone i know sais their HKS SSQV BOV is leaking so they are getting rid of it... but reading this makes me wonder... can they leak, this makes me think not... Is that correct? Is the person hearing things... cheers
  15. I personally like the idea. And just for a stir... Blow-Off Valves eliminate compressor surge when changing gears. Excessive back pressure is created when the throttle is closed during gear changes or deceleration, causing turbo cavitation. This is detrimental to the life of the turbocharger. Fitting a BOV will substantially improve this problem. Installing a BOV will also significantly reduce turbo spool-up time. A substantial improvement in response from the turbo between gearshifts and a quicker boost delivery will result in an increase in torque at lower RPM. ?? comment anyone?
  16. just wondering when group buy 19 things will be delivrered?? what day should i expect them thanks
  17. Hey, Well i really wanna hurry and get my front mount on so i need to buy a rb20det forward facing plenum. I Dnnt mind if its a chinese copy but where can i buy them... dont wanna spend $1000 unless comes witha throttle body
  18. they let more gasses flow out of the exhuast in turn making more power proberly not noticabull if you changed it though. just jap sell x force 3 inch stainless high flows for 160 deliverd
  19. also... s13s came withboth single and lsd. I think only turbo models maybe even only sr20 turbo came with them though
  20. yes r32 diffs have a ;arger sump cover... more oil... less heat. It is a straight bolt on with the s13 diff. also the centre will fit intoan s13 diff. Just shim it or get a refurbished one and put it in. will spin 2 all the time.
  21. yeah mate, Topped her right up. thanks.. ill check the belt
  22. Hey, I just installed a hicas lockbar on my r32 gts-t. I removed all the lines and the solenoid even up front... i then plumbed up the whole, kept the cooler and all in place. When on full lock it makes a really loud squeel noise.. i know there is a leak from power steering but i cant pinpoint where. I Need to clean engine and leave it to see. But im guessing its the rack.. would this loud squeel be a blown seal or something?? It only happens when i hold the steering wheel extra to the extreme left or right.
  23. Hey all... I just put a set of 18" rims on my r32... not sure on width cause the sticker has worn off. The brand is ANZ and they are +45 offset. The rears have 235/40/18 nankangs and fronts have 215/35/18 toyo proxies... needed smaller profile at front due to that huge arse arm going vertical rubbed with old tyres... now i have taken 40mm off front profile and made a 10mm clearance.. The rear rims are setup with 0.55 degrees negative camber... they are perfectly flush with gaurds. Lucky gaurds are rolled or they would scrub really bad... still do a tad infront of garud where the rolling stopped. Problem is fronts have around 1.5 degrees negative camber... will be more when i decide what to do with front suspension but atm fronts stock. There is around 40mm between the gaurd and tyre in front and i wanted to bring it out a bit. Anyone recommend some brands of wheel spacers.. I dont want cheap ebay ones cause they will probably break on me.... now i know these are illegal but i want them and im gonna do it properly with decent branded ones.. i will also replace my standard studs before i put these on to make sure they arent stressed already. Now would it be safe to use a 30mm spacer? Will it kill my handling?? What brand would you recommend
