Hey, I have an r32 gts-t, and I have recently pulled the motor out to spray the engine bay and whole car. At the moment the car has a original gtr full front end, and the rear is standard, just slightly rolled. I'm trying to decide which way to go for wide rear. If anyone has ever cut slits in their gaurds and rolled them more, or fitted aftermarket panels themselves and have pics to go with, or any tips please post them up. Also if I was to fiberglass to the car, should I grind the paint back to bare metal or just glass onto the paint. I'm not too sure about if it will rust. Cheers

Thanks for the replys.. Yeah I'm just wondering... It's not a daily car and I was wondering if one lot of methanol / water will last say 3 months in the tank. I might do some experiments and post results about the rubber

Hey, I made a stainless steel water meth tank, and there is a lid that will be bolted down, and won't be undone exept for cleaning. Just wondering if anyone knows if insertion rubber will corrode with methanol.. I have also heard that once methanol is mixed with water it's shelf life dramatically reduces... How long can I leave it mixed together befor it goes stale. Cheers

I would flare the shit out of the stock gaurds, then fit it. Cause if you go cutting the rear 1/4 panel there isnt much going back. If you do, try make it neat, and keep the metal you cut out, so if ever need be can weld it back in

Hey, Just spoke to the guys at competition coatings, and they were telling me they silver coating isnt good enough for the rear housing, and they need to use the black coating, which is more expensive, and not as appealing to the eye. He said he has done a few in silver, but mainly for show cars, and if they get too hot they go grey, he said it doesnt look too bad. Just wondering if anyone has done silver, or got any pics of a silver one, thats gone grey. cheers

you cut up your car befor the gearbox lol, your mad. Im hoping the crossmember will fit because its from a r32. I will post progress pics when i recieve the gearbox, just after the damn freight company stops stuffing around the little fella!!

Hey, Just wondering if anyone has ever tried to put an rb26 gearbox into an r32 with an rb25. Reason for wanting to do so is, i have a stock rb20det gearbox in there atm and its not going to hold up the power its making. RB26 gearboxes are heeps cheaper than rb25 and I can modify it myself to RWD, i have done one before for a silvia conversion. Just wondering if anyone knows where or not the gtr32 cross member will bolt straight up, and whether or not anyone knows for sure if rb26 gearboxes are stronger than rb25 ones? Also would a RB25 Nismo slave fit onto a RB26 box? Im assuming that all RB gearboxes have the same 2 bolt pattern thanks for any help

Hey, Recently I have been doing alot of electrical work to my r32 and have been finding it very difficult to get a hold of wiring diagrams. I found one from a local guy, told you exactly what colour wires from KA24 loom to hookup to rb25 loom for engine conversion. Obviously its american but it was a good help. Just thinking there is alot of people out there who do conversions at home and must have a nice stash of wiring diagrams. I'd like to see a sticky in the tech area, strictly no chat, where people can upload links, or maybe upload to sau database somehow so links never get broken, to all the different diagrams. In my search for r32 gtst diagrams i came across two useful free diagram websites. Maybe a mod could keep editing first post and just have a list of diagrams specific to different models of cars. Sites such as www.allcarmanuals.com and www.importworkshop.com have alot of diagrams, but im sure alot of people out there have more that could be alot of use to everyone. ideas?
