done this few times on FTO's, supra, R33 etc, easy as jelly: 1) take clips off -if they dont come off put in oven with clips on 2) leave in oven for few mins 3) take out, (take clips off if haven't already) 4) check glue is hot/melting 5) try split apart (screwdriver or the like) if it doesnt, put back in for few mins more and repeat til u get apart. closing back up: use same glue just heat it up so glue is sticky again, squeeze together, make sure its sealed all over, put clips on finished. tip: play it safe rather than leave in oven for too long keep taking them out and checking on them if reflective paint fades/cracks spray on chrome is your friend.

my opinion, far too much of a head fu# buying from eastern states. sure u might save urself 2-3k originally then u can throw on the costs of getting it here, registering (may take more than once), new emission test which can (as ppl say) cost round $2000, all the phone calls, guy might strip parts before transport, u've never driven the car, might be a dud etc etc, just not worth it. then again, up to you.
