lol at this thread. can your car even hit redline? (i doubt very much a VX can) most skylines have a rev limiter. In saying that, mine revs right out, though thats with a little help from a good tune and a microtech ecu.

Thats great info guys, I appreciate it. I have no AFM (Microtech ecu). The guy pulled out his booklet and claimed Z442 filters are for 1998+ Rb25dets.. so the last of the R33's then R34s. I'm hoping (as Duncan suggests) that its just the wrong filter currently on as the last filter change was done by a workshop. I'll do an oil filter change this week, see how it goes with the Z442, might clear some things up

I've done some searching on this site and google etc, Im still stressing because i believed my engine to be a series 1 RB25det (as it has the ignitor ontop of cam cover) BUT today i bought an oil filter from a workshop, he gave me the wrong filter & upon returning i asked for the same filter currently on my car (Z442) the guy said they are for 1998+ RB25DET's only.. I've already bought cams for a series 1 RB25 yet to be fitted. can anyone confirm this?

yeah, unfortunatly that does happen. young girl with nice car and p plates will have police watching you AND also probably have random ppl try annoy/irritate you. not alot you can do this time because you broke the speed limit..

already explained VY SS sedan, he flicks it out turning left, then swings out again straight into one of those huge light posts. whole thing rocked thought it was gonna fall at first. front of the car was M.I.A. the bloke seemed alright he was walkin around, airbag didnt go off, tow truck was there in under 2mins. was good cruise for the parts i was there.

^^ FAIL. motorvation > autosalon. in my opinion autosalon is extremely over rated and over priced.

dont go cams, your talkin about getting lifters, valve springs, porbably do timing belt while your there etc so u must be talkin cams with some decent lift = $$ for the amount of $ u spent buying all the gear for cams and cam gear etc you still have to install, then tune. u could have turbocharged your n/a

so are the copies red + blue with Tomei logo, or completley different? do you have pics of actual gears?

this happened to me before. the woman says "i just haven't changed the sign yet" me "so what, its false advertising i want to speak to some big cheeses" end result, got fuel at price advertised. i've also filled up before gone in to pay and someone else accidently paid for my fuel! haha i paid for their fuel cost me $20 instead of $35--wish i had filled it right up.

where to go for tuning i think depends on ECU.. different workshops are known to specialise/favour differnt ones. power fc, mictorech, haltech, motech, teck deck etc.

weird, i've heard of a skyvia not R32-80. so its 180 with R32 front, will u be runnin an SR or RB?

so ur gonna bulk buy them yourself, then ship them to everyone at the same time? im still aquiring a few other things (timing belt etc) to put in with my cams so not in a hurry at the moment, but yeah even if you could pm a rough date that would be appreciated. cheers mate.
