  4. cheers for the info i'll take it into consideration for future but atm not keen to spend anymore as i've already spent alot more than i planned to and its not even on the road yet its funny you mention cams as before my old motor let go i sold off some brand new poncams for about $550! but they are barely bigger than stock anyway. it now has 1000cc injectors with a billet fuel rail, and turbosmart 800 fpr im keen to see what power/torque figures are like in its current state, how it will handle/drive before i consider changing things, if i decide on a different turbo it will be getting TO4Z -and also surge tank + another 044. i rang ovaboost yesterday and they said it wont be back to me until early 2011 compression test turned up 160 on all 6
  5. s13's are a dime a dozen these days, only bout 3yrs ago a crap sr20det manual was about 12k, these days can get for 5-7k . while i was sourcing a bonnet for a mate, a wreckers (not jap parts) told me that japan uses r32 parts ie: gtst bonnets as cover sheets for packing other bonnets (GTR etc) then he told me he wanted $350 for an r32 gtst bonnet, scratched with a big dent in it. inflation much?! im suprised that place is still in business.. tho they do mostly crappy old corolla, magna jap car parts etc

  7. go panel beaters get qoute for how much to fix it, go back and tell them you want them to pay for it or you'll be filling out a complaint form with consumper protection

  9. after getting ripped off by hitech cylinder heads and them not doing the work they were meant to do what with: buying wrong timing belt, not putting clutch on, or timing belt, tensioners, cams gears, they drilled a hole in the cylinder head (instead of the internal feed like they were meant to) they also didnt tap the hole, they didnt supply any hoses for the extenal feed or connectors, didnt relocate the tensioner above the water pump etc etc + kept increasing their price and abused me other day when i told them i want them to pay for some of the work that ovaboost have had to do that i already paid him for! -Mick at ovaboost told me that last week Tony from hitech called him to ask how to do an rb25/30 because he has someone else's engine sitting in his shop right now. i really hope its no one from here. in some good news! got a call form ovaboost today saying it has excellent compression on all cylinders and after all the work they have had to do to the engine and few issues with exhaust manifolds and some custom fab work, its nearly ready to start! will post a dyno result soon
  10. thanks for the info! we used an R33 GTST clutch master and it fitted perfect! its half the size of an rb20det one -tho they did have to fiddle a bit to get it in i believe an engine crane was used to lift the engine out of the way first

  23. my car is at the workshop and the rb25/20 clutch master cylinder that i have in my car is way to long. its an R32 with a Greddy plenum. ive rang about 4 places today and they couldnt give me any answers.. one bloke told me to look into a datsun 1600 clutch master cylinder but he's never tried it. the shop measured a 180sx clutch master cylinder n that MIGHT be short enough but the only one i could source was from autoone and it was 9.5cm -too long. nissan couldnt give me lengths just part numbers. anyone know what i can use? need help asap cheers!
