  1. I knew what he meant. I made the comment re the paint because I think it is one reason he should change to the white car. Less chance of it needing a respray anytime in next few years.
  2. It's the throwout bearing if it makes the noise while the clutch is not depressed (whilst the pedal is not pushed down), as there is no pressure on it. Something like that.
  3. I really liked a lot of the 360 features, Xbox Live was great too. Xbox arcade's good fun. Never played a PS3, so I won't vote..
  4. Depends on how much money it sets you back. Also, you've probably got to the stage where you've fixed all the little problems with your car. When you get a new car there's usually a few things you have to sort out, make sure you take this into consideration. I'm not a fan of red cars, the paint oxidises (i think that's the terminology) and you end up having to get a respray usually a lot sooner than most other coloured cars.
  5. Spoke with Jim Berry today. He's making me up a clutch, it's a level below the "mini-monty". It's got the "full monty" pressure plate with an organic face or something. It was all a bit double dutch to me but I'm sure I'll be satisfied with choosing Jim Berry over Exedy. Just need to book it in to get fitted somewhere now.
  6. The attached document with the steering settings is gobligook to me. I know I'm probably wrong, but have you checked your tyres ? I only say this because a friend had both tyres on one side of his car let down, and then he couldn't figure out why his car was pulling to one side, silly bastard. The person also keyed a swastika on his roof. So yeah... check your car for umm.. swastikas and flat tyres. Lol.
  7. I wouldn't touch that car with a 20 foot pole.
  8. Yeah it could be running rich. You could also try resetting the ECU, see if that changes anything (disconnect battery, press brake to drain remaining electricity in system, reconnect battery). It's nothing too serious if it's only the occasional pop. When you start getting major hesitation and backfiring around the 4000-5000rpm mark you need to start replacing stuff, usually the fault comes down to spark plugs need replacing or re-gapping, coil packs, o2 sensor, fuel filter, fuel pump.. the list goes on - common problem with lots of common causes. Your occasional pop could be early warning signs of the above. Only time will tell.

Bump. Had a couple of offers, but looking for a lil higher.
  10. My friend used to have this problem occasionally in his 180sx (SR20). Sounds like a synchro problem.
  11. I'm only aiming for around 220kw. Should I get the Jim Berry "mini-monty" or will the Exedy HD Organic clutch be sufficient? If I get a clutch from Jim will I have to purchase throw out bearing etc separately? How about this as an alternative? Exedy "Sports Single" Sports Organic - NSK-7056SO (RB25DET): $573.65

    Sold.
  13. Yes there is. And even more do not.
  14. It's strange how people only ever seem to post questions in there little sections. Like this for example has absolutely nothing to do with Stage A's.. yet it's in the Stage A section.
  15. Located in your dump pipe that runs down to your exhaust/cat.
  16. Yeah, you're throw out bearing is stuffed. That's probably the noise you get between 2k and 2.5k rpm. I was getting it the other night when driving, not doing it anymore though.. always makes noise while idling in neutral. I also have the my clutch violently grip (only once). I'm going to replace my clutch in the next week or so. Not sure about the vibrations, that could be a poor wheel alignment, tyres or something else.
  17. My car came with a turbo timer. Majority of the time I switch the car off and disable to the turbo timer. The only time I'd use it is if I've been hitting boost regularly and hard for an extended period of time immediately before reaching my destination, which is barely ever. If you haven't bought a turbo timer, I wouldn't bother with one. When you weigh up the cost compared to the actual amount of times in a year you use it and it actually does something (by doing something, I mean saving you 40 seconds of sitting in your car idling) you end up paying like $100 to save yourself 10 mins a year.
  18. Im going to be getting an emanage ultimate in the next month or so as well - also interested to know of people's experiences with local tuners.
  19. How easy are the brake lines to install yourself? Any pictures of them post-install? Do they add much "bling" to the engine bay?
  20. How much for postage to Bris? Lol jk.
  21. PM sent. Can pick up next Wednesday. Cheers.
  22. Someone post something up after playing it. I wanna know if it's any good. I saw a bit of preview video a couple of weeks ago that left me with the impression they'd put too much effort into the disposable limbs, rather than game play and enemy AI. Happy to be proved wrong.
  23. Umm... the full release is out at the moment on my sites. Lol. Would hardly call that "barely begun development". EDIT - Damn, your post came through just before mine.. now I look like the idiot lol.
