  1. Oh my god... this game is absolute pwnage. I haven't played a game this good in ages. So much fun. I don't pay for many games, but this one I will!
  2. Your local auto shop?
  3. Or you could invest that $20k into long term savings or purchase some property etc. Then sell in 6 years time and buy the new GTR with your profits. Lol.
  4. Wrong sections I think lol.
  5. Never played any of the COD's.. Had a quick go of the COD4 demo on a mates Xbox though, seemed decent. Might have to pick this one up as I've just got a new PC.
  6. Ahh ok, my bad - misinterpreted what you were trying to get at. At least it's on the boards now though for everyone to see, as a lot of people seem to think they can use that excuse.
  7. I've got this exact same problem. Sometimes I get a loud whistling type sound in the higher RPMs. I've only got some basic bolt on mods, FMIC, split front/dump pipe, high flow cat, manual b/c at 10psi. Mine drops off to next to no boost past 5000rpm. My friends Dad had a look at it tonight, he's a nissan mechanic. We weren't able to solve the problem unfortunately. Got us pretty stumped.
  8. Site was playing up - triple posted.. lol.
  9. Site was playing up - double posted.
  10. Unfortunately what you're saying makes no sense, what if an undercover cop goes up to someone and says, "please sell me some drugs?".. then you sell them to him, you're not going to be let off the hook because the cop encouraged you to sell him some drugs. Even if a cop eggs you on to race, you chose your own consequences by doing it. The only laws we have are "agent provocateur", which is when you force someone to do something they wouldn't normally do. A cop never holds a gun up to your face and says race me or I'll shoot you. Don't expect to get very far trying to hide behind the excuse "the cop incited me to race".
  11. Just for a reference. When warm my R33 (manual) idles at around 700rpm I think. When cold its about 1100-1200rpm.
  12. When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? Has the O2 sensor been replaced since you've owned the car? Might be worth looking into.
  13. I thought the same thing. Consider it sold if it works for a S2 R33 GTST. I can pick up next Wednesday (pay day).
  14. Famous last words... that's all I have to say haha.
  15. If the tune is alright it could be your fuel pump. I think pinging's caused by your car running too lean.. backfiring is usually too rich. Although I know nothing about the quality of the manual SAFC's, I wouldn't imagine they'd be able to do too good of a job. EDIT - what sort of fuel you running? 98 ron? BP ultimate etc? If running dodgy fuel your car will ping like crazy.
  16. Lol, he didn't explain himself too well.. think he means leave the car turned off and run pressure with an aircompressor into the intake with a pedal on accelerator pedal (to open the intake). He doesn't mean up the boost. Manual Skylines also idle higher when cold, not just autos. Mine idles at about 1,500rpm then drops down to 700rpms, which is factory spec I believe.
  17. I thought normal idle was 700rpm for a Skyline anyway.. Maybe your car was broke before and now you've fixed it? Hehe. My car sometimes used to almost die after first starting the car, this was fixed after I replaced the o2 sensor and the fuel filter though (replaced at same time, so not sure which one actually fixed it - most likely fuel filter I'd say).
  18. I'd stay away from an NA import for a daily driver.. even if they are decent on fuel, insurance and parts required are usually more expensive than Australian vehicles. $15k is a pretty high budget for a daily driver.. If I were you I'd be looking at spending $2-3k on a car and putting the rest towards a house or something. Daily driver's are usually just that, a car to get you from A to B so you can save the Skyline for the weekends etc.
  19. Start advertising at like $17,000... be prepared to be knocked down to as low as $14,500.
  20. 118 was probably for one. That's what I got quoted from a few places when I was phoning around for one.. didn't end up buying one needless to say.
  21. Best bet would be to get a sensor light and have it hooked up to some bright ass bulbs. That's usually enough of a deterrent.. could always get it wired up to an alarm/buzzer. Parking one side of your vehicle close to the house is a great idea.
  22. I'm looking at going to Thailand early next year with a couple of mates, should be good!!
  23. Mine does it too.. so do many other R33's. Some people have had success with putting grease up inside where the slave cylinder line goes into, into the rubber housing.. (Ironically enough a person with the username "Mad082" posted a DUI for this lol). I tried this but it still squeeks. It's usually the throw out bearing apparently. I'll be replacing my clutch with an exedy HD in about a month or so, will just get it sorted then.
  24. This can also mean that they've raised the boost past standard levels. eg "I've boosted my car to 10 psi".
  25. Just picked it up... Security recall from Subaru. I used to own an 03 WRX up until a few months ago. "Engine Hesitation and/or Shut Down caused by Vehicle Security System - Model Years 2002 to 2005 Impreza WRX and WRX STI". What a relief... Now to book into the doctors to get some medication for my paranoia lol.
