Read the PDS, legally it has to set out what happens when you have a claim and their procedure for choosing repairers. It will also set out a dispute procedure if you're not happy with the course of action they're taking. Wouldn't recommend trying to chase the uninsured guy yourself - if he can't afford insurance, you have SFA chance of getting him to pay for your repairs.

4 doors all the way, no difference in performance and from memory only about 20-30kg difference in weight. All the advantage of the extra convenience and IMHO they look far better too! Know where there's a mint one going if you're interested...... ↓ ↓ ↓

Go for it.. but make it tasteful and get it fitted and painted well. Remember it will be near impossible to get it painted exactly the same as your (probably 10 year old) paint. Look closely at that red one on the first page for what I mean. You'll get used to driving with it, and having just spent near $1k on it, you wont forget! Attraction from hoons, police - you're already in a Skyline, so wont make much difference. Will all depend on how and where you choose to drive!
