  1. oooooooo thats kinda special and very authentic lookin I want one and thats what factory manual dashes look like well mine was 100% fac man and thats what it was like I think thats generally what nissan did with all there dashes still the strip but nothing in it YAY
  2. Yeah its the converted ones that do it i had one factory manual and it never flexed at all hmmmm i guess now the mission is to find one of these braces and get the firewall welded just to be safe thanks guys

Hey guys dunno if its just the ceffys ive had or me but the firewall seems to be weaker where the clutch master bolts upto when ya do a five speed conversion from the auto this time around im running a OS twin plate and the firewall flexes like an inch, inch and a half i'm thinkin that if left itd probably crack and make me cry plus it feels like the clutch isnt engaging all the way sssoooooo I was just wondering if there was such a thing as a brace for the clutch master to stop flex or anyones ideas on how to resolve this problem cheers for any help Benno

Hello peoples Happy new year to yall!! well I have just been offered a turbs five speed gts4 for like a dirt cheap price but i'm not to keen on the whole four wheel drive aspect I would like to convert it to rwd only is it as easy as just putting a gtst box as that would be my preffered method, or taking the fuse and shafts out as a temp fix any help muchly appreciated cheers in advance Benno

Hello Again yeah you wont have much leaniency I live 80 summin k's away so they make me visit murram bridgee or they come to Victor, Strath or Goolwa so yer its only if you like way outback that you get the cop shop thing i think even whyalla and port pirie and the like get visits from the inspectors so youll be stuck with a good ol regency inspector from what ive heard the dudes at actual regency are actual doofuses to deal with the fellas ive had out here have been nice and let me off with lil things so i suppose it all depends

Hey Mate Good to hear ya got a cef they are possibly the best like even better than well you know :lol: , The S.A fellas are pretty strict on the whole compliance thing i'm sure youd know how they are if youve had any dealings with TSA mob of idiots. Things that need to be done: Adelaide Compliance Centre 83690776 he tends to answer his mobile more though 0427717686 he will supply Intrusion Bars, Child Restraints x3, and Fuel Filler neck last time I paid $280. If your a good welder you can weld these in yourself and have them engineered when done Doug Potts will engineer it for $150 I think it changes with where you live its cheaper just to go to his office in wayville he came to victor harbor for me at that price 82723156. Cefiro seatbelts pass standard anyways being that they are elrvw as long as there in good nick no tears,frays etc. I think most nissans pass this except silvia rears etc but besides that. Child restraints are pretty easy lined up with the centre of each seat mounted on flat surface but not to close to the speakers Two pop rivets in each has passed me everytime. Fuel filler most exhaust shops will do this just pull out the neck and take it to them with the restrictor they flare it out bang it in and walla restricted cost me $5 at my local place last time. Ceffys height must be 360mm F and 375 R coilovers are legal as long as there set at that height with the dual nut system so they can not be easily adjusted as with single nut coilovers they need a weld in the thread etc this has to be spot on my mate failed cause he had 357 in the fronts there so mean sometimes. Everything else is pretty much the same as a defect inpsection, Yellow lights not allowed to work, power steering reack boots not spilt, all bushes in good cond, no leaks, good tyres, rails straight no major dints thats a pretty major one. As for the standard gear I also have all that but am about to use it I got defected to low to loud :lol: but youre welcome to it when i finish whih should hopefully be within two weeks Good Luck Buddy Benno

Hello Peoples well i have been putting an r32 rb20det in my ceffy and ive come to the wiring part and have come a little unstuck Ive wired it up to the point where the engine starts when i spray start ya bastard down the throttle body but am unsure which wires in the cefiro loom connect to the r32 loom to power the injectors the fuel pump etc anyone please help anything would be cool cheers Ben

  17. Hey mate, good luck in finding one i did a auto to manny conversion on a cef a while back and couldnt find one anywhere so i just thought i'd let ya know that the r32 gtst coupe cable fits perfect if you have it lengthened by an inch well hope ya work something out Ben
  18. Hey peoples im converting my mates 32 4 door from auto to manual and have heard a viscous rumour that the coupe 5sp crossmember doesnt bolt up to the foor doors mounts is this so???? does anyone know what can be used in place of this ie s13 or will i have to get a custom jobby cheers Ben
  19. woah twelve hundy in my opinion thats a way expensive compliance for a 15 yo car if ya a bit handy wit some shiz ya can do it all yaself in less time child restraints $30 fit em yaself intrusion bars i had made cost to previous made ones specs me $100 mig weld em in yaself (p.s i can do them at this price again to nissan seatbelts normally meet RTA req elrvw's high mount rear tail light $8.95 Engineers report for intrusion bars $160 fuel filler neck was $18 but i found this pretty hard and annoying to do myself $40 fitted at best enterprises then just all the basic stuff make sure ya rails and bushes, boots are sweet and its not to loud no blow offs not to low which mine was with standard struts only by five mil so he let me go with it tyres are good and just all the standard rta stuff inspection in S.A is $70 with cop shop inspection at $13 then just rego and stamp duty and ya done easy done and its good to learn it yaself cause then ya can make some cash off the side off mates who want to buy an import good luck with it mate hope it all works out for ya p.s if need be i have all the standard shiz ya can borrow if your in sa with a deposit

Sweet as its pretty interesting to learn this stuff that they put such variations between the a31 an r32 engines one of my mates was saying that the a31 rb20det is down tuned by 20 or so kw and 40nm of torque over the 32 one of course his figures are probably out anyone heard anything along these lines????
  22. hey peoples i was just wondering if there was any difference in the way an r32 rb20det is wired up compared to an A31 as a mate an i have gone halves in a r32 front cut because he needs the 5sp conv and i want to change my non turbs into turbs. ssooooo will it all just plug up and go or will i have to modify any help would be cool cheers
