  1. Car is out at the track for more testing today. The focus being suspension and aero testing.
  2. Best time recorded today on the semi's was a 55.2 on the clubman circuit. This would typically put us into the 52 second bracket on the sprint track. .
  3. Yes car ran well into the 55's on RE55 semi's. Aero has made a massive difference to the car's handling, and not all good, so there will be plenty of changes that need to be made before WTAC.
  4. yeah it is only the fact that we have old carbon parts from overseas and standard parts that we are going to be able to test the car before superlap.
  5. The hassle with the availability of the carbon parts is beyond a joke and we are far from impressed. Not only has it delayed test days in the past but also means that people involved now will have to work ALL weekend to even get the car to the track for monday testing. Not to mention the additional cost in freight/overtime etc. Not happy Jan!
  6. The R35 has been painted and is being prepped for testing on Monday and Tuesday out at QR.
  7. +30mm per side. We dont want to go too wide without doing the same to the rear and as we are leaving the std rear qtrs we dont want to unbalance the car.
  8. The Mercury Motorsport/Q-Scan R35 GTR will be attending this event for its initial shakedown before WTAC. See you all out there!!
  9. Too easy mate. Its been our honour being involved in the project. *HUG*
  10. What a great result, we just finished run-in tune, final result was 500.2kw at wheels on 21psi. Now it is back on the hoist finishing installation of the carbon dash, mounting the rear diffuser and getting ready for the track shakedown. I did get video of the dyno, so I am sure Mark will post up the video shortly. The entire team at Mercury Motorsport are extremely happy and although exhausted from all the OT, this has spurred us on to continue with our efforts in getting ready for the WTAC.
  11. MAKE THAT 448kw on 18psi!!!!!!!
  12. Just cracked 500hp on dyno... this thing is going to be mammoth
  13. CAR STARTED TODAY!!! Sounds MINT! Looks like we will be spending some time on the dyno tomorrow.
  14. getting so close to firing up this car!! We are getting excited.
  15. The glare will be insignificant. Due to the speeds at which this car will be travelling, light will actually be bending around the car, therefore eliminating any threat of glare off the carbon dash.
  16. I have a T04Z on my R34 and it makes 387kw on 98 octane and 460kw on Sucrogen E85 (30psi). Then only mods we have done to the engine are a set of cams, nitto head gasket and ARP head studs. If your goal is 350kw, I would recommend the GT35R. You will have about 400rpm more response than the T04z and it will be the same response at the GT-SS yet make WAY more power.
  17. So tight in fact you need to change some of the bolts on the chassis rail to button heads for some clearance!
  18. Tight fit with the AMS alpha 10 kit Engine back in Gearbox and rear end dummy fitted so we can fabricate the custom fuel tank Rear of car looks very mean!! AP J hook rotors front and rear AMS heat sheilds look right at home ATI damper will help us nudge up the rev limit safely. Very tight clearances for intercooler piping. We actually had to modify the alpha 10 turbo kit to accomodate the RHD car.
  19. dont get me wrong, it is (or is going to be) an amazing car, but I definitely wouldnt want to be dead if I smashed it. Well, only if I was driving and it was Mark's car.
  20. And its ugly furniture too!
  21. Yes better rods, and better heads.
  22. Yes, Sucrogen E85 8200rpm 33psi
  23. R34 GTR Autronic SM4 Injectors T04z turbo kit Exhaust Fuel pumps Nitto head gasket Drop in cams STANDARD BOTTOM END 450kw @ all four wheels.
  24. The turbos have billet front wheels, looks like the Garrett GTX versions, but that is all we know at this stage. With 40 odd cars here at the workshop for upgrades and tuning, plus trying to get Mark's R35 built/finished, we haven't had a chance to pull apart the AMS turbos and measure them up. On initial inspection though, the kit looks fantastic and I would have no trouble recommending it to any R35 GTR owner. Quality is exceptional.
  25. The driver is from "out of town"
