  1. Yeah, its the baby of the family!
  2. To me, the Nitto products tick all the boxes, hence why we support the brand:- Good value for money and realistically priced Full billet, full counter weight crank for best rpm capability and harmonics Quality forged piston with low silicon content to handle hp I-Beam rods with quality bolts Can handle plenty of boost, rpm and power
  3. CSR or Sucrogen as it is now called is definitely 108 octane.
  4. Agree with this, it is frustrating having to wait 5 minutes.
  5. We definitely don't want to be the most powerful gtr, we just wanted to build a car to showcase our skills as a tuning workshop. It is a testament to everyone involved. I basically thrashed the car all weekend and the last thing on sunday put it on the dyno just to see how it would go.
  6. We have tuned the car to 20psi in the mid range, with boost tapering to 15psi in the last 1000rpm or so. Peak power is ~550hp but the mid range with the Willall turbos is where it is going to be a monster.
  7. We would definitely crew for you Mark if you want to go!!
  8. Here is what is involved to do the job. Labour to remove turbo side Labour to remove inlet side Labour to remove head Machine head surface Check shim clearance, adjust if req'd Replacement head gasket (we would use Nitto head gasket) Replacement head bolt (we would use ARP2000 stud kit) Replacement inlet gaskets (we would use Nitto metal gasket kit) Replacement exhaust manifold gaskets (we would use Nitto metal gasket kit) Labour to re-install the head Labour to re-install turbo side Labour to re-install inlet manifold Replacement coolant Replacement oil Replacement oil filter Replacement spark plugs Replacement rocker cover gaskets (if req'd) That is all I can think of. Unfortunately, not a cheap exercise, but a great opportunity to upgrade to metal head gasket, head studs, Nitto in/ex gaskets etc.
  9. You need Tomei cam gears with Tomei cams. The pin is a different diameter to standard, so you either need to drill out the hole in the HKS gear, or purchase the matching tomei gears.
  10. How about a 1000+hp yellow R34 GTR?
  11. We have modified a few of them now (including Handbrake's which is covered in this section, 637hp@wheels), so if you have any questions, just shoot me a PM.
  12. Don't forget the custom tune at Mercury Motorsport!!
  13. We are happy with no cats at the moment as the car is being currently used for track duties and to/from track only (it spends most of its time here at the workshop). If and when it returns to street duties we will put a cat in it. As we custom made the exhaust we can design a combination of mufflers and cats to each individual, so if someone wanted a street car exhaust we would definitely include a cat.
  14. The best thing to note is that with our exhaust (3.5" dumps into a 4" centre pipe with 2x 4" rear pipes) and the willall turbo upgrade, we achieved a BETTER THAN STANDARD boost curve! There has been approx 100rpm gain in boost response which, combined with the extra airflow of the larger turbos, provides heaps more torque in the midrange.
  15. I don't think it is a national secret or anything, so I think it is ok to say that Handbrake is a Doctor.
  16. Manwhore! hahaha
  17. That's one of the pics from our MASSIVE dyno day yesterday! Not sure if I can get my hands on the hi-res as I am pretty sure that shot will be used as the main pic for the subsequent article in High Performance Imports.
  18. Latest power graph
  19. Congratulations to Mark (handbrake) who improved his time at Qld Raceway by over 2 seconds yesterday!! For those who are familiar with QR, Mark ran a 55.5 on the sprint track. You can check out www.timeattack.com.au to see how that compares to other's best times, but it is definitely at the pointy end of the field now!
  20. We just started the car!! OMG the exhaust sounds simply awesome!! Blocking off the non-muffler side makes a big difference, and with it all open, it sounds throaty but raw. We are extremely happy with the result!
  21. Tomorrow is another massive day, we will be fitting the MCA coilovers, suspension setup, Dyno tuning and prepping for track day!
  22. Wow, what a massive day!! Lots of time spent tidying up all of the finishing touches and fitting all the parts that we had purchased for the car. Here are some of what we got done. Heat wrapped the dump pipes - i think it was a shame to cover them, they looked hot!! work experience kid unwrapping the whiteline swaybars and link kits Whiteline goodness! Whiteline Rear swaybar link fitted Whiteline Link and bar fitted (set on soft for now) Filling up the Willall trans pan with new fluid Harmon motive intakes and Willall cooler sitting up front Willall larger engine sump New Endless ME20 pads were fitted up front (running MX72 on rear) Fitted the APP braided brake line kits (front and rear)
  23. I am sure it will sound very throaty!
