  1. Ok so I'm looking for a new front bar for front of my SKY80. Needs to be semi drivable height (Current BN kit is way too low) and still suit BN sideskirts. Pic of car below. Suggestions? Please include a pic if you can. Tending to think nothing will really suit it, just from scanning pics but open to suggestions. If I can't find something suitable, will just rip it all off and go for a different look. Probs GTR bar... obviously though, totally not compatible with current sideskirts. Keep "Fail offset" comments to yourself. Heard it all before. Thanks!
  2. Exactly! Thanks for clarifying. Car runs perfectly as it is and still goes freaking hard for the boost level, just telling you what I'd planned to do with it!
  3. For sale is my 180sx. Haven't had this car for that long and I really do love it but trying to get out of the modifying scene. Looking for something comfortable with some kick, usual story, so interested particularly in swaps for family friendly imports - Stageas/Legnums/Aristos etc. Might look at swaps for 4 door 32/33/34s (possible cash adjustment), throw me what ya got! Pics don't do the 32 front end justice, it really does look awesome in the flesh. Professionally done conversion by Doyles in Adelaide utilising metal guards. Very rare conversion and gets a huge amount of looks. Specs as follows... Engine: SR20DET redtop Exhaust: APEXI 3" turbo back Suspension: Pedders Sport shocks front, damper adjustable rears. Sitting much lower at a perfect height now. Will get some new pics to show this on request. Wheels: 17" cheap meshies with less than 3,000km old Maxxis MAZ1 tires all round. Bought brand new when I got the car. Modifications: HKS EVCII, Greddy turbo timer, Hybrid FMIC, T28bb braided lines, B&N pod filter, ARC radiator overflow bottle, extreme heavy duty clutch, bosch 040 fuel pump Stereo Audio / Visual: Pioneer head unit, 6" fronts and 6x9" rears. Genuine momo wheel, metrika air/fuel ratio and boost gauges, full genuine BN kit, 32 front end conversion with metal guards Power: Dyno'ed at 188rwkw at Turbo Tune on 13psi before I had it. Think that might be a little happy but it's definitely a quick little car. Also worth mentioning that the front end conversion is now completely engineered and has been through regency as it is. Recently replaced turbo-mani gasket with genuine Nissan part. 145,000kms Really only needs spacers/fatter rims, bigger injectors and a remap and you would have a really awesome, complete car. In pics its riding high on stock suspension, now dumped down nice and low. Tires sitting about 2cm above the guards. PM for more information or offers. Would be looking for $11k. Would come with a bunch of spare parts. Stock BOV, new engine mounts, stock T25, side mount intercooler. Cheers guys. 4. Bump. No-one want to offload a 32gtr grille? Pleeeease.
  5. Looking for an R32 GTR grille in any color. Let me know if you have something for sale. Preferably in Adelaide.
  6. Looking for a 32GTR grill and bonnet! Give me a shout if you have something for sale.
  7. It's definitely a sky80 guys! Here's some piccies, just shitty in driveway pics atm. Don't really do it justice. 32 front on a 180 really looks the business in the flesh. Metal guards too, not fibreglass. Here she is... note - bonnet isn't sitting flush due to spacers from last owner and yes, currently on defect.
  8. Sorry to bump the thread but I thought I'd conclude the story... Ended up buying an sr 180. Definitely loving it! Much quicker, 6k spare after the sale of the Supra and it even has an r32 front end, so its a win win! Cheers for the advice throughout guys, especially the dude who suggested a 180.
  9. There are differences. And yes, it's a dick around (to the order of 7k if a workshop does it all). Dunno why you think Supra cuts (At least A80s) are all over the place? Not to mention, for a 6spd TT cut your looking at some SERIOUS buckage. Anyway, it's all moot as the Supra sold today. Will be in the market for a 32/sil/180 very soon! Woot.
  10. My apologies, I've been busy as anything and haven't had a chance to check back in here and read all the posts until now. The idea of a engine drop / bolting a turbo on isn't one that's foreign to me but the more you look into it, the less sense it makes. It's a minimum $6k+ exercise and your still left with the crappier SZ suspension, brakes and gearbox. It'd make much more sense to sell the n/a and buy a TT, then go from there. As I've said though, I can't afford to do that at the moment. I've appreciated the input surrounding the 32s, and I've decided I don't think that's the car for me. My plan at the moment is to buy something sensible(ish) and just save for a TT in a years time. No use compromising, as people have said.
  11. Been perusing this forum reading up on Stageas as a potential next car and as such I was sitting at the lights just now thinking "You don't see many on the roads." when an black Autech Stagea pulled up at the lights opposite! Beast of a car. Gold rims and plates that seemed to elude to the fact it was an RB26. Was on Daws road turning right onto South Road, if it was anyone who's on here!
  12. Haha. Yeah, perhaps. I dunno though, there's something not so glamorous about Supra ownership though. The idea of a bit of a drift pig appeals after having to be so meticulous with paintwork and constantly worrying about where you park the car. Think I'd just like to try something different. After all, I do highly regard all the 90's Jap coupes. A BPU TT Supra really is completely out of the price range though, at least the rest of my uni years anyway, so I think its a prime oppurtunity to try something else. Guess there's nothing for it but to go check out a few 32s and take it from there. Don't you worry, I've been scrolling youtube perfusely.
  13. Some more great advice. And yes, I'm only talking theoretical 0-100times and estimated lap times here. Don't get me wrong, I still really respect a well kept 33, especially GTRs. I just would rather avoid owning one. No arguments that the Supras looks are love or hate, either. I think I may have put my point across about a TT being the dream car a little strongly. I would love one, but not necessarily above a really well kept 32 putting out a butt load of power. I've done the Supra thing, I'm ready to move on I think. It wouldn't be a matter of compromise. I just see a 32 (or 180, s13) as being something of a more sensible option for me. Thanks for the input so far, very thought provoking!
  14. Would be keen to come have a look if my bloody car would sell. Looks the goods mate. If I manage to sell my car soon I'll be in touch.
