Got a do-luck boot cover thing for my 33 from DMD. Didn't fit the way I planned so it had to be modified and ended up costing a fair bit. Might be worth talking to Fibrevision to see what they can do price-wise because if you end up having to modify things it may be cheaper to just get them to make it the right way from scratch.

just for reference for the HKS actuator (not sure if this is accurate, do you trust the internet?) Length is measured from the hat to the end of the rod I think Length Boost Pressure 128mm .5 bar 7.25psi 123mm .8 bar 11.6psi 121mm 1.0 bar 14.5psi 119mm 1.2 bar 17.4psi

Greddy E-manage Ultimate Universal Harness
bryno replied to bryno's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
still sitting here, make an offer lots of pretty coloured wires, your girlfriend will love it -
these are the only kind of games I buy.. had prostreet for about 3 days and felt like burning it. There isn't much left in this NFS franchise but it better be a hell of a lot better than the last one to get my money
-
I had the same problem, loose connector to the indicator and moisture didn't help.. reseated it and it now works fine.
-
Thanks Andy. Yeah after reading the massive EMU thread about settings and stuff it looks like you just need to enter in some basic info and then the car will run fine (hopefully).. I thought there wasn't much point in running a bigger AFM with the EMU though because it translated it back to standard AFM readings or something so you lost any extra resolution anyway..?

Greddy E-manage Ultimate Universal Harness
bryno replied to bryno's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Still got this.. Cheaper than nengun and faster postage! -
yeah yeah.. was looking at the new ViPEC the other day.. I'm still tempted to try the EMU just to see how it goes because I didn't want anything that fancy but I guess if it fails that'll be the alternative.
-
heavy duty HKS actuator maybe?
-
Got the quota for this GB? If not count me in too please.. 33 gtst series 2 without powdercoat
-
damnit.. maybe I'm just being ignorant and should sell it... I dreamed of a day when I had all this shit in my car without problems.. with the e-manage
-
thanks for the replies. yeah I was going to try to install the injectors myself because there's a DIY thread on here, but nothing for fitting turbos and I'd hate to destroy a brand new expensive turbo I really don't understand why some people are so against the EMU. Fair enough if there have been some bad results with it, but surely there are tuners out there who see the potential in it like I do!? Brand new hardware using newer technology, with software thats easy to use yet detailed according to some people on here that tune them. Michael, are you able to tell me what problems Allstar had?
-
mm yeah was considering putting the call out, who likes getting drunk for free? haha can the car be driven without being tuned though after that kind of stuff is put in?

Have tried to look around on the forums and the net for a rough figure as to how long and/or how much this kind of thing would cost but haven't really found anything.. Got a HKS GT-RS (full kit), emanage ultimate with plug in loom and some nismo injectors in a fuel rail that I'm looking at getting fitted. I'm limited to the number of workshops that can do this because of the EMU and hardly any one tuning it. I've so far been given a rough quote of $1500 which didn't include the injectors being installed, basically just fitting the turbo and getting a tune. I thought that seemed like a fair bit seeing as the GT-RS is a bolt on turbo... Apparently I'd need new gaskets and other parts that aren't included in the kit up to about $200, then cleaning (or machining.. cant remember) the exhaust manifold for a couple more hundred dollars.. Fine with 3 hours on a dyno for tuning @ around $500. I don't know how long it'd take to fit the turbo but a grand still seems pretty damn steep... I was considering fitting all this stuff myself to try and save some money, but I'd probably do it wrong and I wouldn't mind paying some one to do it.. But I've got no idea what kind of price I should be paying and I'm easily convinced I need unnecessary things.. so I didn't want to get completely shafted! Can any one shed some light on what they think I should be roughly paying to get a GTRS, injectors and an EMU installed and tuned? muchly appreciated...

I love it how some of the p-platers who are complaining so much about losing their fulli sik turbo under the proposed laws are on their 3rd provisional license already..
-
yeah even shows drivetrain loss.. no idea how it figures out that kind of stuff. would be cool for before and after mod comparisons. now if only i could afford an iphone..

Why Is Nengun So Cheap?
bryno replied to R33-RB26DETT's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
ive ordered from nengun twice.. first one was delivered on time, second one (turbo) was delivered ahead of the ETA by about a week.. so I can't complain at all with their service. Definitely worth looking at buying overseas if you've got the patience.. -
^^ that isn't a metal cat xforce cat.. xforce also have metallic substrate cats.. not ADR approved though my guess after looking at metal cats for a while and still undecided.. xforce metal cat < magnaflow metal cat < catco/Metalcat < sard/apexi cats (ridiculously expensive)

mmm those sa70's are so nice.. definitely next on the list

*answered my own question..

magnaflow metal cats are pretty good apparently.. at $229 theyre a hell of a lot cheaper than the MetalCat brand and catco metal cats.. ceramic cats for high flow turbo systems are rubbish..

give his mobile a call, its in his sig on his posts on the forum (his profile..). sent him a pm a little while ago and he said he'd still be doing work from his home I think.. hah too slowww

Slightly off topic.. was looking through that titan motorsport website and saw this for sale... expensive skyline Proves that with greater coverage comes reduced prices.. Don't think I'd get US$26k if I sold my gtst.. GTR released on a scale this big can only be a good thing
