  1. well hugh care to share with us? Where did u get ur manual? Ben what are you doing on thursday? I'm keen to clean both those valves on thursday... Anyone done them? How hard is it?

  3. as much as it hurts to do it, attack it with the angle grinder then tidy with a file if your not the best with a angle grinder.
  4. I checked and gapped my plugs two weeks ago and their fine. The 02 sensor has no more than 30,000 on it so that should be fine HOWEVER after doing my dump pipe install i let the plugs dangle for a bit and they did get a bit melted Think it would still be working fine but would be good to check.... Any one here in SA with consult want to stick their hand up to give me a hand? COUGHbenCOUGH Sounds like I best try cleaning the AAC valve and the Cold air regulator and see how I go from their? might be a job for thursday.

  6. yeah I also for some reason it could be a fuel pump related issue..... do most of u get away with just cleaning the acc valve without buying a new gasket?

  8. ok sick I've had this weird issue with my stag for a while now.... When its been sitting over night and its a cold morning or its been sitting all day at work and come out after and its a cold day some times when I start it it runs rough and idles low were talking 250 to 500 rpm, it then dies. If I re start it it then idles at normal cold start 1100 and everythings fine.... If while its idling rough and before I dies I give it a small rev to bring it up past 1500 rpm then let of the throttle it then goes into cold start and doesn't die and runs fine..... Anyone got any ideas? Apart from this it runs sweet no missing or anything... Should I try cleaning the aac valve?

  12. thats interesting... Mine never r & r as hard if any when i upped my bost.... And it was a stocker when i got it.....? Would supprise me if the ecu has been hacked to remove the r & r. Im now running a SITC and SAFCII anyway Just trying to sort out why his is r & r ing more... Might throw the timing light on his car and check the base timing for shits....

  14. any difference in the management of the engine? Do the series 2.1/3 R & R when boost is upped to 12psi with no piggyback and stock ecu? so s1 and s2 only diff is afm?
  15. As thread title suggests im wondering on the different engines in the s1 stags.... Mines a a '97 RS4 V (well call this car A) A mates (stagharts) has a '98 RS4V Dayz (car B) Both are series ones. Im aware that his is a later model than mine and would have been produced just before the s2's were starting to get pumped out... Now today after doing some work on his car I've noticed a few things, His CAS is different to mine and he has a nipple on his plenum that I dont have. Is their such thing as a Series 1 RB25DET and a Series 2 RB25DET? If so what are the differences? When i upped the boost on mine to 12psi with no computer or piggbacks it didnt rich and retard or miss at all. However stagharts car doesnt want to get much over 10psi and feels to be missing or R & Ring at full throttle and full boost. His coils are in OK condition with some evidence of them leaking spark. Will try my splitfires in their soon to see if it removes the jolting/miss feeling on WOT.   21. Theirs a Navara- very popular dash globe (can get them from repco) that is around the same size that you buy and pull apart for the globe and wire it into the stock holder. Its easy as literally like a one minute job. Informed chefstagea of this the other day and he did his 260 on the weekend Im unsure of the part number but I think if we are lucky he will still have the receipt. The globe is same sort of size as stock and base of it is white.

  25. haha as soon as I was nudged I generally slammed on the left pedal ... apparently they were the brakes...? didnt seem to work after lap 30 ish but yeah caught most of the Nudgers out Hanging out for Paintballing... Cant wait to mark some of you up Ive got a good 800 rounds of GAP in the closet still too USED to go in the SA 3 man tournaments, infact chefstag also filled in for one of them with us. Can i recommend the fields up at Kypo forest on the way to victor ect....
