Dropped of one of my racing hearts this morning for a lip machining. Went to the place on the sea side of south road... Got a quote of $330. they said they would need to weld in the rash then machine it all back... thought farkk this is ALOT more than i was expecting so i went across the road for a quote and got $165!!
Quote was done a lot quicker and before my eyes ( other joint took wheel out back and guy came back in 5 or so mins)
Nige,
Your probably going to want a copy of FAST for this. Im more than happy to meed up somewhere and bring it on a laptop if you bring 2gb of portable storage (usb, ipod ect) ill be more than happy to give it to you.
No joke it blows.
Ive done the majority of bolt ons (coil packs, plugs, FMIC, 3" turbo back, EBC, SAFCII, SITC, Coil overs, camber arms, toe arms ect ect...) and its just starting to pull pretty well just if it had a real gear box :'(
since when is Ben Benny on these forums?! If it wasnt for your Stagea in the Film Perspective 2 I wouldnt have know what they were or got one myself. RESPECT.
can vouch for this stag. Drive past it when its often out the back of the uni's. Nice car mate. Maybe bring it on the sa stag cruise to get some more attention to it
i will back up jav he has two stags.. one wrecking cos of some idiot commo driver
ps jarrad check ur pms i sent u one last week no reply where is the love?
All right.... Past two days my mum has borrowed the stag for carting some stuff to and from houses (shes an interior decerator or whatever).... Ive always been hesitant about lending it to her after I got new wheels.... anyway today phone rings about an hour after she took if from home and she doesnt usually call me during the day, expecting turbo timer questions ect she says Im very sorry but ive damaged the car. So shes rashed the f**k out of the front left wheel doing a U turn. Shes all good and going to help pay for it but man its a real PITA!!!
At least this wheel wasnt one of the mint un rashed ones ..
Dont worry about the 4wd dyno side of things.
99% of people just rip the front shaft anyway for a tune/power run. Also makes you feel better about the power your making as its going to be a slightly higher figure than awd
The way to tell is running the Vin code in FAST. If its an Autech version it will come up saying this is an autech vehicle and the engine listed will be a RB26DETT not a 25 likes yours says. And it will say the model... Yours once being a RS4V (standard RS Four Auto). Some one has gone to alot of f**king around to make your car. I feel sorry for you.
My thoughts:
Its '96 model thats had a 26 conversion. Front end has been swapped (its not that hard alexcim has done it) to make it look like a '99 as well as tail lights then the autech bits have been added.
hunt him down IMO
Feeling pretty sorry for this dude... Autechs have never come out with sunroofs as well btw, as theirs is extra rear end strengthening in the rear end. Doesnt surprise me that it has a diff bar and intercooler too..
What are you going to do mate?
I remember when it was spotted on that truck to was back a bit now.
Welcome to the SA stafg crew mate!
Im withe cheff, more of a DIY'er myself. Then when it comes to tuning piggybacks go to boostworx, willal, grahem west ect ect..
As for parts Id shop alot on here, ebay and just jap. Oh and become friendly with your local repco manager for some pricing hookups
No whats the point going back to 2.5" you clown!
Just cut the old muffler off that you dont like the look of a weld up something more your style. then get the dump and front pipe piece down the track and youll have a 3inch system from your mate back!
dono on the others but Transfer case i used Castrol Transmax Z... This shits aint cheap but its good. buy a big bottle and use it for your attessa pump, power steering and transfer case
Well i took the wheel and caliper off thismorning.
Looked at the grease and shit mess it had made and thought ehhhh this has to be fixed today. Started getting over it quickly and called CV driveshafts and steerting here in south aus at lonsdale. Put it back together and drove their. I arrived had it on hoist in minutes and after a quick look said it should be pretty easy. 2 hours later and $176 and both the front outer boots were done as once it was on the hoist we could see the left side had started to weap aswell.
And confirming they were the same as N15 pulsar boots
Yeah im bidding on the n15 boot being the same...
think the joint should be ok its only recently shagged out and a mates boots have been rooted for months and his isnt making noise yet..
