This is the reason I take the train to work now. If I'm going to have money stolen from me, I'm at least going to have it done while having fun, not while paying some dumbass toll while sitting in some queue for 30mins avg speed of 10k then get busted for doing 62 in 60 zone.

Well some thoughts from a newbie, what is actually the aim of a "club meet" I take it it's establish some form of a Vic club? If so, who's going to run it etc, someone will need to take the lead etc etc. Anyone done anything similar? is there someone from the site or tune shop or something etc etc? Think it would be worth sorting a few things out before everyone just rocks up. That aside a cruz to emrald sounds good to me, nice drive. could meet at sky high then to emrald. If the track day at the Island is on Saturday, how about sunday. Also, how many are actually going to the isl? I thought it was a HSV day or something anyway...?

I'd be in a Dyno - is it worth running a pole and seeing how many people would rock up??

Well, haven't meet any of you guys, that I'm aware of. Wouldn't mind the drive to Heatcote to meet up so count me in! May have room for others if they need as well.

Yeah, I have tinted windows and it's a motorised face so you can't even see it. I'm surprised someone went for it as they wouldn't have known what type or anything about hte head unit. Unless someone's tipped them off as I never take the face off. Not so worried about the head unit, it would only be worth $300 maybe, but the damage sucks.

Well, just as I was getting ready to put the little MR2 on the market some F*#K nuckle decided he wanted my stereo and sun glasses and would detroy the centre console and pasanger door lock just for good measure. Anyone know where I could get either a) a custom built centre console, nothing major, just a basic setup or B) a replacement? '92 MR2 GTS Also, I assume that a panel beater could arrange to fix the damage to the door , door handle and lock? Sugestions appreciated! Glad it wasn't the new GTR!

Signs denying liability are almost useless. They're there to scare you away. For instance, you can say "enter at your own risk at the entrance to your porperty" but if someone trips over something on their way to your front door, you are still liable, end of story. Mechanics generaly have insurace for theft while property is in their car or on their premises. He's probably going to pay out of his pocket rather than pay an excess or higher fees. The mechanic has atleast proceded to do the right thing, even if it does sound dodgy.

When did they change the tread pattern on the Azenis? Mine have two deep groves down the middle... Is this a different model of Azenis?

Yeah, factory leather. They look better than in the pics, I wasn't sure about the colour at first but they're a few shades darker than what they appear so looks good. Still got the plates, and after talking to the vic roads nazis, man victorian RTA sucks, can't have numbers before letters, have to de-register, re register and GTR 97 is taken, so I'm going to "live" in Queensland and get a QLD license to keep them!! Rego is $200 cheaper then too! As far as I can tell anyway...

Well I've two others 1) '81 280zx, Black with silver bonnet, 5 spd manual & targa roof. 2.5" from the manifold back sounds cool for an old girl Hmm, good for a cruise with the roof open and a 2:24 around Philip Island, that was fun! Kept in fornt of the V8 Hillmen and almost kept up with the SII RX7 understeers like a bastard tho. Haven't driven for a while and is for sale! Offers?? $$$$ 2) '92 MR2 GT-S Red Quick, nimble and its an MR! handles like a go-kart and yes that's a good thing! Great ****pit for excellent sound with the stereo! Will be going on the market once I replace the boot lining. Made a pasta bake in the boot after a trip back from Apollo Bay along the great ocean road. If only the pasta had of cooked as well I would have had diner ready to serv Don't smell too good now. Will miss it when it goes tho... Just need a need a silver BMW M5 parked along side the R33 now...

Yeah, not a big fan of the blade type either but that's actually a real good look you've got there. Any plans to drop it an inch or so? I certainly recomend getting the windows tinted, it'll make the wheels stand out even more against the black. Nice front air dam too!

Yep that's it... Was the only 97 and certainly the only SIII I could find. Also wanted one without a lot of mechanical mods. It has 3" from the turbo's back, EBC, ETC and that's about it which was exactly what I wanted. So saw this and thought that's the one for me. Didn't want a white one, would've settled for silver and I don't know if purple is my colour Going to put a PowerFC in it in the next week or two then see how I go from there. Mick - I use to live in Mooroolbark, I know Croydon. Should meet up nearby for the next cruise when it happens. Or anytime really. I Actually saw another black GTR, not sure what year, R33 tho, just near Chadstone coming off the S.E. onto Warrigul road. Should have seen both of us rubber necking checking the other's cars out!!

Well, not exactly sure. I was concentrating on other things, but around 400km a tank sounds about right. maybe a little more as I didn't empty the tank every time (usualy around 1/8th left) and I made 5 stops for fuel, I think. It's black, needs a little attention to fix a few scrathes and chips. Will be atteneded to soon with a good buff/polish.
