Thanks guys. RedLineGTR - It's got the xenon lights - very nice, so clear! From the east - Mitcham. Timmy G - Love the car. Comfortable and formidable all in one. Gotta love having the power on tap along with all four on the ground to lay it down with. Rained a bit when I got back to vic, surprise surprise, didn't matter tho!! Will post some pics soon. Sorento sounds good! Can get a bit cramped down there on nice days tho. Could have a pit stop at Arthur's seat? Plenty of room to park. I left Brisbane at about 10:30 - 11:00 I was just near the Pacific Hwy so headed off. Wasn't sure how to get to the newel (spell?). Drove through to Yass (about level with Canberra) but no place open for me to have a break but found a spot at South Gundagi a little furhter down. 1:30am. up at 7:00 (couldn't wait to get back in the car ) and left there at 8:00 after a re-fuel and walked in the door at Mitcham at 1:30 Saturday Arvo. Just in time for the bounce! All up I had about 2hrs worth of breaks, refuel etc plus the sleep over in Sth Gundagi so it took about 20hrs. Would have been a little quicker but I didn't find out until half way into to Vic that the speedo is out by 10km/h at 110km/h

Well, I finally got my first Skyline. What a car! No all I need is for someone to organise a cruse!!! Picked it up from brisbane on Friday morning, drove straight through to Gundagai, then back to Melbourne Saturday morning. Very happy with it. Now to update my profile with the car I now drive When's the next cruz?!?!?!

Thanks guys!!

Yes it is, but by the sounds of it I may be better to buy else where...
-
Hmm - What's got me interested in the car is that it is a 97 V-Spec, I assume at least a series II if not III, I doubt the IV or even that there is one. I have not seen another 97 V-Spec on the market... Also it's black, I like black, and don't want a white one. It's got leather, albeit a not so good choice of colours and some minor mods that I'd want done anyway. I've seen some good buys here and I'm still keeping an eye out but it seems that most are fairly heavily modified or raced. I'd definately get it checked, I've got a thread in the QLD forum asking for a reference for someone.... I'd be interested in anyone's experience with these guys, they have been ok so far, but I am a little sus on the car particularly advertising it as a Series IV, but it is only advertising... what counts is how good the car is, or isn't. Does anyone know who to back track the car with Chassis and engine number. They seemed a little reluctant to give me the previous owners details too. I'm still waiting on them and to my knowledge they have to supply it.
-
Yes I was wondering about the series IV thing, I didn't know that there was one, and series III was late 97?? Only thing I thought is that it may be a 98 model manufactured in late 97 as can often happen with other manufacturers...
-
Just wondering if anyone knows of or about this car.... 97 GTR Any info would be much appreciated as I'm looking at purchasing it.
-
Can anyone refer me to a mechaninc who would be willing to check out a 97/98 GTR in Buranda for me. Car can be sent to them this Saturday, hopefully, or checked at the dealer, they have a hoist. Thanks in advance!!

Novated Lease Company for imports??
iNCOGNiTO replied to iNCOGNiTO's topic in General Automotive Discussion
ok cool. I've sent them some info. I'm looking at a 97 GTR so that should be good for two years then. Thanks for the replies! -
Any one know of a Novation lease company that will do imports? ie R33 GTR??? Need one urgently
-
that's actually a breach of contract and legally they have to honor it. they have verbaly given you approval without mentioning that condition and certanly if you have signed it then they have no choice but to honour it. I'd go to a manager or supervisor, the mistake was there's = there's problem. Hint at legal action as you have already covered certain expenses etc, think you'll find that they may come around. either way, you now have nothig to loose. Go Insurance Companies YAY!

'95 V-Spec v's '96 V-Spec Series II
iNCOGNiTO replied to iNCOGNiTO's topic in General Automotive Discussion
lol Thanks for your help Xboy, don't worry too much, I'm pretty keen on your GTR :uh-huh: So is there anything apart from the cosmetics, I guess you could update from Series I to series II or III if there isn't anything more dramaitic. -
Can some one explain the differences between these two models or refer site that does. Particularly the Series 1 to Series 2 As far as I know the main differnce with the V-Spec options is the AWD power control/disribution?? Thanks

Would like info & pics for the R33 thanks! [email protected]

Dumb Ass Question - Tripple Turbo GTR Possible?
iNCOGNiTO replied to iNCOGNiTO's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yes it is a bit of a dreamer idea. but thought I'd check it out. Looks like the concept is fine, and a suprecharger would be the way to go, if it would fit Don't mind having the power up in the higher rev range, but would like a bit more down low for just "normal" driving. Would be ideal as you could then have nice progressive power with the option to give it boot when you want to really bring it on -
After driving Xboy's GTR, the turbines kick in at around 3500rpm, and boy do they kick in however until you get there it's a little dead. So would it be possible to put a third small turbo or even supercharger to cover say 1500-3000rpm or so? I've driven the Liberty B4 and the power comes on rather early <2000rpm with the first turbine, then the second at around 4000rpm. My extreamly limited knowledge of car mechanics would say why not put a third smaller turbo on the GTR, I've heard of supercharged twin turbos on small cc engines, why not on a larger engine or even a tripple turbo? I am assuming that this concept is either ridiculas for some reason otherwise somone else would have done it?

Cheers! Will give them a call Found in another thread that Nissan in Blackburn are into the imorts etc so they may be a go too.

Anyone know where a good mechanic (suitable to be working on moded imported vehicles etc.) would be that accepts Fleet Card in Melbourne?

R34 GT or R33 GTR V-Spec ??
iNCOGNiTO replied to iNCOGNiTO's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Well I took xboy's GTR for a dive on Saturday. I was surprised how easy it was to drive "normaly", then put your foot down and hang on A little different to my MR2 But I'm definately leaning towards the GTR. You get a lot of car for your money I think. Just dunno about a moded one or standard. I think if I get a standard, I'll just want to mod it anyway.... :burnout: -

Not sure which way to go. I'm interested in both of these R34GT + Late model car etc (rare version available) R34GT - non I can think or am aware of. R33GTR V-Spec + well it's a GTR & V-Spec! already modified R33GTR V-Spec - modified, possible issues later on & insurance. Older car Both similar price, both similar K's Without being to specific or negative in respect to relevant members, I would appreciate any sugestions or opinions. Thanks

R34 GTR VSpec, looking to buy.
iNCOGNiTO replied to Kris's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Thought you may be interested in this. I was considering it, but have decieded to go the cheaper R33. It's in melbourne, they offered me $92k on the road within 30 minutes of me being there. Aparently it was some sort of demo car in Japan, thus the low k's. R34 GTR - Gran Tourismo Autos LMCT 9291 Ph 03 9329 3335 Ask for Bill. 3 Year wrranty, road side assist, warranty sounded good up too. Haven't seen another in that colur either. Only downer is that it's a 1999 model. So may well be worth a quick visit south for you. Link didn't work - Carsales, Skylines, Melbourne Vic. 3rd down the list advertised for $105k... you'll se it -

Cool, I'm hopefully checking out xboy's R33 GTR this weekend. How close to $41k is your freind willing to negotiate to? Feel free to email me. I was going to wait until the end of July before buying, but don't want to miss a good deal. Thanks -

VERY VERY interested. How many k's has it done? I had adjusted my budget to $36k, but that is flexible. Has your friend advertised anywhere else?
