ok im running an rb26 with an rb20 trans my stock rb26 flywheel has sufrace cracks all over it and a shit load of heat spots onit! are there any other options i can go with besides getting a flywheel for an rb26? does any of these work?: rb25det rb20det z32 vg30de z32 vg30dett im going to use the z32 vg30de na clutch for my motor but what flywheel will work for this setup? thanks

ok well here are the questions: 1. the rb26dett powersteering pump is for a hicas model, my car is not hicas, can i use this pump and just pluck the lines going to the rear rack and pinion or do i need a diffrent pump? if so what pump do i need? 2.im using an rb20 transmission with my rb26dett what clutch and flywheel do i need to use? i hers i can use the rb26 flywheel and a na z32 300zx clutch kit, is that true? if not what do i need to use to make it work? if there is any more knowelege u would like to share with me on this swap please inform me! thanks p.s. sorry i posted in the wrong section!

yes!! u have to pull the motor out and disassemble it to get the crank out! and while your the put a new pump on for gos sake!

well like u know im doing a rebuild of a r32 rb26dett and well now i need to remove the freeze plugs(welsh plugs) but where can i get new ones from? i live in the usa so are there anything equal that will match up to the rb's here in america? if not where online can i order a set from? thanks all!!

i just took my bottomend apart on my rb26dett and i need new rod bearings, so I see some numbers and letters on the orignial bearings, is that what i need to know to get the same ones? let me put it easier-----how do i tell what bearings came of my rods to replace them with new ones? i know i can take measurements but im not changing anything all is with in spec so where does it tell me what bearings came off the motor to replace? on the bearings that came off the motor it was stamped-- NISSAN F-780 STD 12111 05U00 is that the bearing code or what?? thanks ALL

well im doing a nice simple build of my rb26dett, its pretty much fresh rebuild of an r32 motor, everything is stock but im running a t3 60-1 single turbo upgraded walbro fuel pump, adj. fpr 24x12x3 front mount intercooler and 3 inch exhaust. im gonna use an safc to due a slight tune. boost in the range of 15psi. im looking for 350hp-400hp will that get me there? if not where would i be around with this setup? thanks!

well im running an r32 rb26dett with an rb20det trans. my situation is what flywheel and cluch setup to use? i heard i can use a 300zx NA clutch and pressure plate setup with the rb26dett flywheel but the flywheel my motor came with has some extreme heat spots and cracks!! its beyond resurfacing!!! Im located in the usa so skyline parts are hard to come by, so can i use a 300zx na flywheel too or is it skyline only? thanks p.s. sorry i posted in the wrong section!!!!!!!!!!!

is a upgrade headgasket needed or will an oem nissan one do just fine? im looking for 350hp-400hp just single turbo conversion and a light tune. maybe the hp wont be there but what about boost? whats safe on a stock headgasket? anyone?

well im getting a complete rebuild kit for my rb26 and i was wondering how much boost can a oem nissan headgasket hold? if it cant take much i was going to get a metal one(cometic) so how much can it take SAFE!!!!!!!!????????

i followed the fsm!!! i loosened in ordered and little by little!!! im just gonna sand down the bolts, or get replacement ones! they are the same as the american ka24de motor cam cap bolts and washers so that will just have todo!!

ok well im taking my bottem end apart tommorow and well do i need the crank collar fixed or not? yes i own a r32 motor and the snout is short!! but what if i dont fix it? i know what happens if it does fail but, i going to be using the motor for drifting so is this need 100% or not! i know better safe then sorry but some people tell me you dont have to get it fixed! can i still rev high with out it? and to what rpm?

all the bolts are the same its the caps that are the problem!! if i take a bolt at fit in smoothly and with ease in one cap and then put it in one of the caps i had to force the bolt out of the new bolt wont fit! what if to fix the problem i was to sand the bolt down smoother or drill out the cap bolt holes a little bigger would that hurt at all?

ok well im in the process of tearing down my rb26 when i ran into this intresting problem. when removing the cam caps to free the camshaft from the head some (like 3 per exhaust/intake) are getting stuck!!! they are really, really hard to remove. they should unbolt with some easy and pretty much free float in the cap, but for some reason a couple are like stuck, i mean my electric impact gun(removes lugnuts with ease) is having trouble freeing them!! the only way i got them out was to push up on the bolt head as i used the impact gun!! it was redicules!!! the threads inside the head are fine! i took one of the good free floating cam bolts and tried to stick it in the cam cap that had a froozen bolt in it and the good bolt wouldn't fit through!! why would this be?? has this hapened to anyone eles???

on the balance tube you sed the fitting on the front goes to the fpr, now where does the one on the back of the balance tube go? and my question on the vacuum block is: u said that the 3 three lines are vacuum/boost lines correct? if so that means i can use them to run anything vacuum right? im not using the stock turbos so i am ellimating those hoses runinng to the stock wastegates. so where should i get a good boost source from? but to answer my main question is the whole intake on the rb26 a vacuum source? or just after the throttle bodies/and/balance tube. if u could please tell me places to hook up the vacuum lines to run for my wastegate(single turbo conversion), boost guage, bov. and brake booster. u can use my old pics as a refrence

so what you are telling me is that i can use any of those 3 ports of the vacuum block to feed my wastegate/bov/fpr? on the other side of it where the hard metal lines come out are for what? and what about the two fittings one on either side of the balance tube go to where? if u need pics i will post them

well i started to do engine teardown today and im completly lost on the vacuum tube and i guess the vacuum block under the manifold, where do the hoes go? on the vacuum tube there is a nipple on eith side of it, where do they run to? and is the vacuum block under the manifold my vacuum source to run like wastegate lines and boost guage to? if not there please explain with detail or tell me where i can find this info. i know im a noob to the rb scene but to engine scene ive been neck deep! please dont bash please help me! here are some pics to help show what im talking about: i know about the aac but explain all info on the rb26 intake manifold setup i have the fsm but really no info just directions! dump your knowelege on to me !!!

well i just got my rb26 and im starting to teardown the engine for a rebuild, but ive never seen so many hoses in my life! now i have a few questions about them and what todo with it. its going into an 1995 s14 chassis 1. balance tube what te f**k is that? 2. since the motor is ind. throttle body does that make the whole plenum still under vacuum(so i can run a boost guage from it) 3. im going big single turbo so where is the oil feed from the block goto the turbo's and i can pretty much remove everything eles 4.is there anything i can remove and just cap off on the intake side? i want to simplyflie all the hoses. im not running heat. i have the fsm but not any good pics! please help! im going crazy!!!!
