Just for future people who search this topic. I just went to Carline Mufflers in Mt Druitt and spoke with Bruno. He and his team did a good job with my FG, looked after the car and reasonably priced. I'd go back there.

I figured there was a cruise, there were a couple of others in the car park incl a grey 32 gtr with nurburgring stickers and a neat looking Stagea. Also spotted a few more driving in that general direction from Dural way. Good to see cruises still happening, haven't been on any for a long time.

6 R35's going by the turf farms in Freemans Reach NSW today at 1130ish. Varied from stock looking and sounding to not so, last one looked to have aftermarket wing and sounded great.

I was close to buying a MK7 R a month or so back after things fell through with Ford for a Focus RS and the styling of this is probably along the lines of what the R should have been considering the R is the top of the range performance Golf. Personally, I like the Clubsport. The extras that it has aesthetically over the stock GTi make you realise this is something extra unlike the current R which is more sleeper spec from the outside. The seats do look great and with the suede inserts on the interior, definitely is a nice touch (not that the leather in the R is anything to complain about). The whole FWD thing is what led me to wanting an R over a GTi, that and the R was a direct competitor to the RS. As I have read, a stage one tune and clutch upgrade for the manual is pretty much all you need to make the GTi (and LSD if you do not get the performance pack) and R more exciting. If nothing else, Renault, Ford, Honda etc will keep the game on the up for years to come. It's already off to a good start. Bring on a decade of hot hatches running the world!

What is the datto worth? Tbh I would only be swapping to sell and would want in the end as much as I want for the HR31.

2 different white 33 GTR's down Fairfield way today. White R34 with Nismo sticker - the chequered long one, on the rear 1/4 panel with carbon rear wing and maybe carbon or just painted black vented bonnet also down that way.

If you want, what I believe to be, the pinnacle of RB sounds, youtube the Gibson Motorsport HR31's. The Gibson manifold and side pipe is one of the best engine sounds for me.

This is good to hear, I have a deep cycle Optima battery and the car hardly gets driven so hearing about them honour the warranty. Also good to hear they can last a long time with little use.

Lol SURELY Nissan dont make that GTR. It's a shocker and the fact they make the grille like the rest of the range loses me as a Nissan man . That Lexus on the other the hand, well that's anova story altogeva.

I havent really read the whole thread but with the Barras, once you go over 260rwkw you should look at upgrading the valve springs at a minimum.

Make it 3" to meet the afm and use a reducer at the turbo. I "think" a 3" to 2.5" reducer is what I had.
