Hey guys and girls, We at B.E.S.T Performance Motorsport at Sumner Park, will be holding a dyno day on Saturday the 6th of December What: Dyno day Where: B.E.S.T Performance, 8/10 Jijaws St, Sumner Park When: 06/12/08 Saturday starting at 9 am till whenever. How much: If you want to put your car on the dyno it will be $50 (3 runs and a print out), spectators are free. Food is also available on the day, $2 for a sausage on bread and $1 for a can of drink. There will be 2 classes Turbo/Supercharge and Naturally Aspirated. On the day we will be running the B.E.S.T performance handicap system! The system works whereby power will be worked out as kilowatts per cylinder, eg: 190kw / 4 cylinders = 47.5 kw/cyl. 370kw / 8 cylinders = 46.25 kw/cyl. So according to these example figures the 4 cylinder car will beat the 8 cylinder. Therefore by having the highest power reading (kw) it doesn't necessarily mean you will dominate the day - makes for an interesting dyno day to look at the cars in a different way. Winners will receive vouchers to get work done at B.E.S.T (amount TBA) There are only 20 spots available so get in quick and pay by Sat 29th November to secure your spot. Guys just a quick update some new pics.... took us a few hours to scrape that stupid sound deadening off but yea... car is now at a shop getting the cage fitted . Oh and the motor gearbox and exhaust are all removed from the car and they are for sale if anyones interested. And some Sparco goodness for the driver Lam

After a few drunken crusades between James (director of B.E.S.T Performance) and myself, we agreed on acquiring a new project/toy. Our ideal car was a Nissan Skyline R32. So after sobering up I started to scan the car forums for the perfect base for us to start with. So after a week or so we found one that we thought was the ONE… she is currently called PROJECT B.E.S.T So Bec (my partner) and I went for a drive down to Boganbar (past tweed heads) to have a look at the car in question. Once I saw the car it was a done deal. Shes gona be punished around the track in both circuit and drifting, and she will enjoy some straight line fun too... So the car got towed back to the workshop on the following Monday. This is what she looked like when we picked her up… This is how she looks after James and I spent 3 hours stripping her bare…. I will continue to update this thread as soon as something changes. Lam
