    Dyno result

    It is _exactly_ what my graph looked like when i was spinning the wheels. Doesn't necessarily mean massive power (well maybe for Melv but not for me) just poor alignment or strapping. The dyno calculates your power depending on your torque but Millenium Motorsport was explaining that all the new software can recognise the different gear and modify the output to be closer to 1:1.

  9. Really, everyone else i've talked to with them in s13's have said theirs are really loud too. Mine's only getting 9V (soon to upgrade wires to 8 gauge or similar to get it more power) and i can hear it 15 metres away no worries.
  10. GTR pumps are _damn_ loud. Well mine is anyway and that's in a hatch so i don't have a seat to muffle the sound.

    It the same thing mine was doing on the dyno last week. Doesn't really affect your peak power reading, just stuffs the graph. Like i said, the car just needed to be strapped down harder or straighter.
  12. Mine crackles, pops and backfires constantly even though its just been tuned (albeit a bit rich, mid to low 11s). New cat and most of the exhaust is new too. I assumed its just what rb's were like.

  14. I paid $250 for my SAFCI (should be able to pick one up for $300 easily), a mate fitted it, and can easily be tuned in less than an hour ($150). Who do you know that does the remaps? I'm considering that option next so i can fit bigger injectors and AFM.
  15. Who can do a tune and chip for $450?! My SAFC and tune cost about $400.

    Why was it done in 3rd gear? Surely you don't still have the speed cut. Looks like it was skipping the tyres on the dyno or getting a bit sideways.
  17. I made 443N.m today on a low reading dyno. rb20 with hks2530 @11psi (164rwkw).
  18. PM 'Mase' to see if he's still got his or i've got an rb20 one which i'm pretty sure is exactly the same which you could have for $30.
  19. I borrowed 3 good ones so we just replaced the 3 front and 3 back at the same time to save dyno time. I'll just swap each of my 3 ones into cylinder 1 to see which one causes it to missfire again.

  25. I've got a missfire at the moment (at least that's what i think it is) consistently between 3500 and 4000rpm. I've cleaned the AFM and coil packs, checked the resistance of the coil packs, put new spark plugs in, but still prevails. Hopefully its just because i'm running rich (i constantly get backfires on gear changes and releasing throttle) and it can be sorted out on the dyno. The only thing i've noticed about the coil packs is that 5 are rb20 coils with the metal spring on the end and 1 is a later model coil pack with the black filament, could that be the cause?
