Any of you guys had any issues with your wipers? There seems to be a little slop in the mechanism that when running on intermediate the wipers stutter on return. Not sure if its just the cheap blades or if its wear in the motor assembly its giving me the shi#s.

Vq25det M35 Stagea Turbo, I Need A New One
danwatt replied to danwatt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Mine had that same squealing sound when coming up on boost and its not good. The problem is that there is a small 10mm bolt on the side of the turbo that holds the hitachi bearing cartridge to keep the both turbine wheels in the correct position (longitudinal movement). In my car this came loose and the wheel moved forward and was rubbing on the compressor housing, It was boosting fine but wore out the seals and started to smoke. Still boosted and ran ok. -

danwatt replied to danwatt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I agree, the more I look into it Im going to order the genuine arms as I dont really want any problems with it. At least then I know that they wont wear out in the lifetime I have with the car. The problem is that when I costed them last they were $340 each, hope they havent gone up -
M35 Surging During Warm Up & More Power
danwatt replied to danwatt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Thanks, Front bar was removed not long ago and everything is clean. I might build a beat shield around the AFM to see if it is engine ambient heat heating the sensor and Ill see if this makes a difference. -
M35 Surging During Warm Up & More Power
danwatt replied to danwatt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I find it has consuderable more power though which is a little anoying. I also find that once the ambient temperature is over 17 degrees power drops off. So there must be something going on -
Hi Guys, I have noticed that during warm up and under very light throttle (no boost) the car wants to surge and has trouble holding a constant rev. I have also notice that there is considerably more power during warm up that when at operating temperature. Any Ideas ? I was thinking it might be something to do with AFM and the air intake temperature sensor. As we all know that performance is reduced in hotter temperatures.

No problems, Ive been waiting for a fully tunable ECU alternative, like FLASH'g the existing or aftermarket ECU but no one has done this yet. Im using SAFC2 at the moment and its working fine but not very tunable.

Let us know how the install goes and if you need any more help with it, would love to know what sort of results you get with the emanage.
-
Let us know how it all goes, I did a bit of work on the ECU pinouts and have put together this drawing. There was some common inputs that I couldnt find / stopped trying to find on the harness like boost & O2 so if you know what pins these are then let me know. ECU_Pinouts_Model__1_.pdf

Vq25det M35 Stagea Turbo, I Need A New One
danwatt replied to danwatt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
yea thats right, you end up with a shorter turbo (18mm) when you go for the ball bearing garrett cores, the old school bush bearing T3's dont change the turbo by much. -
rear bumper is rairly streight forward, you need to remove the rear inner pannels to get access to some bolts /screws that bolt through the inside of the rear quarter pannels down to the rear bar (these ones are fun, dont drop the bolts as you will have trouble finding them). then there are a couple of screws at the back.

Radius arm? which ones are these? Ar they the ones most furtherest back near the driver and passenger foot wells? I got an arm second hand ex japan $30 said it was for an NM35 when I had a look at it against mine it was different and wouldnt fit due to the front drive shafts. The bush was the same though. -
M35 Bushes Anyone Replaced Any Of Theirs
danwatt replied to danwatt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
On my car the bushes that are gone are the lower compression rod bushes. Nissan want 340 each as its the arm assy. I got one from yahoo so I have the broken one spare and would like to try source a replacement part for this. -
Guys, Quick question has anyone needed to replace any of their M35 suspension bushes ? If so did you have to go genuine or have you had any luck with after-market parts?.

danwatt replied to danwatt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
It was the GSS342, used in G35 & 350Z. Had a better spec than the stock nissan one, I guess Ill have to wait and see if the results are worth it. I guess it has to be since the stocker is shot. -
Can Someone Fast Me The Part Number For M35 Fuel Pump
danwatt replied to danwatt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I checked it out today and removed the original pump and its a 2-wire job where the other two are for the fuel level. When i measure the voltage @ idle its 13.8 V all the way to redline so no variable fuel stuff. Ordered a Walbro intank so will put this in when it gets here. FYI nissan wanted $450 for the pump. -
Can Someone Fast Me The Part Number For M35 Fuel Pump
danwatt replied to danwatt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Thanks for that I will do so, DO you know if the Walbro pumps are fitted inside the tank like the standard ones ?. Another thing I noticed with the M35 is that the pump has 4 wires controlling it and that it is variable speed. The extra wires are not the sender unit as this is mounted on the other side of the tank. -
