Well I called around all the places that are in my area and they all quoted me $285 but I happened to find a couple of places that can do it for $245 and they both said that's the lowest they can go lol. And apparently windscreen from an imported jap car cost more

That's correct. Also I don't think it really matters if your L plates were up or not, you can just say that your parents paid for it without requesting for a photo, so they didn't know that your L plates was up and you were driving. But then again, do they even check? But funny thing is, SAU doesn't condone illegal things and isn't this illegal?

Well I got it done today, they just used the same seals. But is it just me or is the new window more glarey than the OEM one? I didn't call him irresponsible for speeding, but I said since he WAS driving, he should take the consequences of his own actions. When I do get done for speeding, I cop it on the chin and learn from it, that's how you'd learn. You do the crime, you do the time. Simple as that. Having your L's is the same as on your P's, you can't get more than 5 points in a period of 12 months. 5k's over = 1 point, and like $140 fine.

Lol, I thought it was your job to watch your own speed, as you ARE the driver? I think if you are old enough to drive, you should be old enough to take the responsibility of your actions

National Windscreens quoted me $285....... But I called another National Windscreen franchese and got quoted $225 fitted lol....

Hey guys, I found a 15cm crack on my windscreen last week and I haven't driven the car since. But today I had to drive it for an emergancy but as soon as I got home, I realised the crack has cracked even more, now it's like 30cm through the middle of my windscreen So I'm just wondering if you can recommend me a place to get it replace and about how much it will cost. O'brien quoted me $430 replaced but I think that's a little too much? As I've heard people got theirs replaces at $150-200 or so. Cheers

I need to remove the whole cigarette lighter bit from my gear surround so I can wrap my gear surround. It seems like the plastic around the metal slot is glued to it and I can't remove it. Can someone help?
