  1. Why not drive a RB20 until you are off your P's, then either drop a RB25 in there or upgrade to R34 or something?
  2. Read this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Qu...ct-t294268.html Topics like this have been covered so many times..... Also read this one - Got Done For Turbo: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tu....html&st=20
  3. That one sounds good, only coz you said "all you can eat" Might go try that out one day, or we should organise a meet for that !
  4. When are you posting it for the general public? I think the sooner the better, just so they have a bit more notice.
  5. If you got your P's before July 1st 2007, then you don't have the turbo restriction, only power to weight. Yes you are right, R33 is heavier, but R33 has a bigger engine 2.5L, oppose to a 2.0L R32. So the R32 GTST is legal. If the R32 was stock (which has to be anyway, because on your P's, you can't mod anything to increase power), then it should be fine, also the age of it will also result in a tiny bit of power lost anyway.
  6. Since it's your car, wouldn't you want it to be "roadworthy"? Instead of JUST passing roadworthy so you can drive it? Roadworthy shouldn't be hard to get, if you own the car or buying it. Most mechanics will be tighter when people sell the car, but if they own it and just wants to be transferred, it should be fine. What you can do is, bring it to a few places, and tell them what is wrong with your car (if you know it), then ask them if it will pass or not. Also tell them the car is yours and your not selling it.
  7. +1 for sushi train meet!! Last time I had it was like 3 years ago back in Hong Kong, yummmmm....
  8. You shoulda bought a R32 instead of R33, because R32 woulda been legal for you.
  9. That's what they all say
  10. That is SOOOO cheap, can't believe they are still for sale
  11. Only if you lived closer, I could pick it up lol
  12. I always see that car around, around my area. There seem to be so many more undercovers now, even saw a undercover divi van once lol.
  13. I'm looking for a pair of these: But it has to be genuine. Willing to pay for postage.
  14. Has my money came through yet Hamish?
  15. anyone has a set?....
  16. Price drop to $1100.
  17. By the way, here's a site that you can find all the info you need about skylines, with all their specs and factory options and even pics: http://www.cars-directory.net/specs/nissan/skyline/ Just choose the year of make on the left, then choose the model. R33 Series 2 = 1996 - 1998 R34 Series 1 = 1998 - 1999 R34 Series 2 = 2000
  18. Here's some power figures I got from wikipedia. ER33 GTS25 - 2.5 L RB25DE DOHC I6, 190 PS (140kW, 231 N m) 25GT, GT-X, GT-V - 2.5 L RB25DE NEO I6 200 PS (147kW) ECR33 GTS25T - 2.5 L RB25DET DOHC turbo I6, 250 PS (184kW, 294 N m) ECR34 25GT-T - 2.5 L RB25DET NEO turbo I6, 280 hp (206 kW, 343 N m) I think NA R33,34 has about 100kw at the wheels. And yes, that's no problem at all, I'll be glad to help you out, as I was in your shoes not long ago, I know how it feels Feel free to PM me whenever you have a question or something.
  19. Sorry buddy, DT has already started touching it up
  20. Your car looks sick man! The east bear lip is the best thing you can do to that altsa bar lol, but with your coloured car, it was best to do it all silver Yeah, my panel beater told me I'd have to drill holes on my front bar I got my lip for $150 2nd hand from b3za Do you have pics of your car? I wanna see the lip on it
  21. Yeah, GTS4 / GTfour's AWD system is the one you'd find in the GTR, and yes it does have more traction than a RWD, but that depends on how you drive it Also, the AWD is a bit heavier than the RWD, due to the AWD system, so their power output is a bit lower than a RWD. But good luck finding them, they are pretty rare But I reckon it would only be worth it to do an engine conversion with a GTS4 / GTfour, just for the AWD, so it will pretty much be driving a single turbo GTR
  22. if it snows, do you mind toeing my car up the mt? haha
  23. Awww... Thanks for putting in so much effort for this Lemme know if you need any help
  24. Well, to be honest, NA supra > NA skyline, T supra > GTST skyline. Although they are heavier, they can seem to beat a skyline in a straight line, but I'm pretty sure skylines are more fun around corners. I like my R34 coz of the looks, that's why I chose it, with the money I had, I coulda bought a TT supra or R33 GTR. Just depends on what you want, looks, handling, power, budget. Yes, I'd advice you to look into R33's, over R32's. Because of age, tear and wear. When I say R33, I kinda don't mean series 1. It's hard to find NA R32/R33 s1 in really good nick. Have a look around for series 2 R33's or even R34's. The price different between the 33 and 34 is maybe a couple of thousand, but if you have enough, then R34 would be worth it. But I wouldn't suggest you to buy an NA now and do an engine conversion later, because it's not worth it. Better off selling the NA and buy a turbo. Unless you seriously can't live without your car lol. R32,33,34 GTS25 / GT25 = RWD R32 GTS-4 = AWD turbo R33,34 GTS4 / GT4 = AWD NA R32,33,34 GTST / GTT = RWD turbo R32,33,34 GTR = AWD twin turbo You pretty much got it right, but just remember that a R32 GTS4 has a turbo in them. Apparently, there are some R33 GTS4 turbos, but it's really rare. Someone on this forum has one.
  25. I'm so excited! How many K's you reckon we'll cover over the weekend?
