    Question

I never said mistakes don't happen lol
  2. Yeah, you can get them in auto, I've seen one on ebay recently. But assuming auto = more rare = more pricey.
  3. Oh sh*t! *runs*! Nah man, you pics are the only decent pics of a r34 with the lips And me likey So what do you reckon? Since you have one of those on your car? Matt black/CF middle or yellow? Yeah, what RusH_ said, a genuine east bear one cost $600-700 and there's 2 reasons to why I chose the nissan lip. -Getting it for $150 lol (2nd hand of coz) -It doesn't make the front of the car THAT much lower? As to the gtr lips that sits UNDER the bar, where as the nissan lip sits over the bottom of the bar. As you can see, my car is pretty low, so it's not worth spending $600 on a lip that'd scrap on the first day that I get it, I think I'd get so pissed that I'll just kick my bumper in lol.

    Question

Make mistakes, hit things, forget things = all possibly true But I doubt a car enthusiast wouldn't look after their first car, especially a skyline
  5. Maybe they didn't align it probably? Because if problems was with the things you install, wouldn't the car sway left when the steering wheel is straight? It's just a guess lol But I'd hate to see you fall off the mountain next weekend
  6. So since I lost 1 point in Dec 08, 1 in July 09, if I was to commit an offence in Nov 09, I'll get that option thingy, because that's 5 points. But if my offence was in Jan 10, then I'd be on 4 points for 12 months and 5 in total right? Another thing, lets say I was to get off my P's now, does that mean I have 10 points left or do I start it clean with 12?
  7. Woot! Just got the weekend off work, so I'll be coming along with my mate (missus can't make it ) Hamish, I'll depost you $200 either tomorrow or the next day

    Question

Why not just look on carsales? But it depends what you call decent lol, decent for the money your paying or one that is decent in condition wise. TBH, I don't think there are many "decent" series 1 R33 NA around anymore, most have really high k's and have been thrashed to hell by p platers, because most importer don't even import R33's anymore, let alone series 1. 9-11k can surely get you an NA series 2 R33 manual, auto will be a few grand cheaper. But you just gotta make sure you don't rush into it and buy the first R33 you see within your price range and if I was you, I'd just keep saving until I can afford a good R33, instead of paying 6k for one, then HAVE to spend another 6k to fix it At the end of the day, your first car will be like no other cars that you'll own, because it will be something special. And I'm speaking from experience lol, nothing can replace my old NA series 2 R33, not even my R34 GTT now, just doesn't feel the same lol.
  9. LOL, I was looking at that as well. Before that system came in, Just Car wanted $3000 for full comp, and now I think if I adjust my excess to max, my premium would be $1400 or so. It's pretty cool if you can stay away from accidents lol.
  10. Thanks I can kinda picture what it'd look like, but I need other people's opinion lol. But maybe, I'm thinking to spray the whole thing yellow first, then if I want the middle black/CF, I'll just get vinyl to wrap it?
  11. That's good to hear So when will you be getting your car? By the way, you are aware of P plate + insurance yea? If you've read the link I gave you? I live in Mordialloc, where abouts are you moving to?
  12. That is so true, cannot disagree with any of it. moj0 - An NA is a good choice mate, I just hope that you can keep that thinking in your mind until you are off your P's Coburg is so far, I live in SE Melbourne But if you ever head down this way, I can take you for a ride, but it probably won't help your decision of driving an NA lol
  13. Sorry to hi-jack this, but I've got a question regarding my points. I'm currently on my P's, and P platers gets 5 points. And I'm wondering when I'll get my points back. I've got done for speeding twice, both times lost a point, because I was less than 10km over the limit. My first offence was in Dec 08 and my second offence was in July 09, so do I get back 1 point in Dec 09 and another point in July 10? Or do I get back the 2 points if I don't commit any offences until July 10?
  14. My front bar is just the stock one. I haven't got the lip yet, picking it up on wednesday. But what I meant by carbon fibre wrapping is just wrap the middle of the lip and keep the rest yellow. Here's a pic of my car:
  15. he would probably love it and offer you a ride in the GTR lol
  16. Hey guys, I'm about to buy a genuine nissan option front lip for my yellow R34. I used to like the Altis front bar but I found the grill area too curvy, doesn't look as tuff as the stock bar, but I do like the bottom lip bit. Anyway, my question is, should I spray the middle of the nission option lip matt black? So it looks like the Altis front bar? Or should I spray the whole thing yellow? Or wrap the middle in carbon fibre vinyl? Here's a photo I edited in photoshop, the car was originally silver, so I had to make it yellow lol. And no, my car doesn't have eye lids.
  17. Here's my R34: I'm buying a factory nissan option front lip for it, I'm so exciting, can't wait to have it on the car
  18. So in this case, after it resets, he'd have 11 points left?
  19. Yeah, I think the NA list will get bigger and bigger lol, as soon as the 370Z came out, BANG! it's on the list So glad I'm not just going for my license now, I'd struggle to wait 4 years to get off P's lol
  20. But it does say that you can drive some "lower-performance turbo or supercharged vehicles". For a sports coupe, it has to be less than 100kw per tonne.
  21. Well, as far as I know and on the Vicroads website, it hasn't been extended lol.
  22. Are you sure? I've never heard about it being extended? It'd be cool if you can find a link of it Because I got mine in Sept 2007
  23. Ok, now I'm confused with the P plate law. I thought if you got your P's after July 1st 2007, you can't drive a turbo AT ALL. And the people who got it before that, can drive V8/turbo as long as it's under the power to weight law? Just because you are on your green P's, it doesn't mean you got your license before July 1st 07? So the no turbo law still applies? Or have they wiped out the turbo law and just made it power to weight only?
