i smacked into a tree.....luckily i wasnt speeding, or else the impact woulda been WORSE. would it be better to get parts from wreckers? or from people? coz i heard that wreckers over charge u... but right now, i really cant afford postage for the bonnet, bumper etc....thats why im trying to find some1 selling it locally, so i can pick it up with cash

he cant....hes on his P's lols im pretty sure ur not allow any mods that will affect ur performance when ur on ur P's.....especially putting a turbo in..

yea, i agree with J3T33, save up $$ first...because u would probably change ur mind in a yr or so. for me, i changed my mind from a prelude, to a lancer, to a 300z, and finally chosen a skyline haha.

i got my P's 2 months ago and i got a 96 series 2 gts imported from japan....it cost be about $13,000 to get it on the road. even tho its a non turbo, i still think its pretty nice for a first car (has the power and looks).

the actuator cost me $30....

im going for my rego later this week, and im just wondering how thorough they check if they do check, like what will they check? because a mechanic said my headlights are not rwc...because when i put on highbeam, low beam goes out....and also the seat belts doesnt have a little tag on it, so its not australian standard. so im just wonderin if they will check for those....

but is it really THAT important tho?.... can i get by registration without it?....

yea...so now im thinking of going to another mechanic to get my rwc... how much does it cost?...and does it really matter that much? so if i do get a rwc with the car i got now, do u think vicroads will check the lights or seatbelts themselves?..

i took my r33 to a mechanic yesterday, and he told me that my headlights arent rwc...its not because they r foggy, they r crystal clear. its because when i put on high beam, low beam goes out... wtf... did any1 have the same problem?.. coz i asked a few of my friends, all their 33's does that and their cars are all registered.... and also my seat belts arent rwc either...because apparently, they dont have little tags on them... has anyone gotten away with that?

hmmmm....im in melbourne too lols.....and im pretty sure they banned ALL turbos on P's and even V8's...

the paper work for mine was submitted on friday 26th of Oct and it was approved today, 5th of Nov....and the plate should arrive on the 7th surprised that some of u guys' took so long...

hahaha, I just called everywhere for a quote today....im in the exact situation as u, im 18, got my P's 2 months ago, and want to insure a r33 series 2 gts non turbo...only Just Car and Famous would insure it, any other companies wouldnt even touch it, and funny thing is, both companies want $2893 for full comp....third party was $397 and third party with fire+thief was $647....so i decided to go with third party fire+thief...... anyway, what state r u in?...u sure u can drive a turbo when ur on ur P's?
